Its beginning to look more and more likely that the changing face of cataclysm will change the face of the horde we know and love for the worst.
Thrall no longer leading the horde with his wisdom and brilliant demenor.
Cairne being killed when blizzard didn't even develop him in wow, and only used him as a quick kill for a plot point.
Garrosh taking control of the horde and making it into the kind of horde it was in rise of the horde, mainly stupid, bloodthursty and only want for fighting.
I must say when the details were first leeked I was looking forward to cataclysm in how they intended to shake things up..
But now futher details being brought to light, how much blizzard intends to change the horde in this.. I'm actully feeling depressed about it.
Garrosh isn't a character I'm happy to see or think of being the leader of my faction. Well him being there will inject further 'war' into warcraft, I think to mucy is being sacrificed to make that happen. Thrall is the reason I admire the horde so much in how he acts and what he does, the kind of leader I'm proud to serve... Garrosh is the opposite. I don't give a crap whos son he is, neither does anyone else, except those who want more war.
All I can hope is, with the fickle promise made by blizzard, that cataclysm will only last a year before the next expansion, and these changes to my faction will be dealt with after that.

Sigh...
Unless I'm vastly mistaken, Cairne's murder was SPECULATION by websites before Blizzcon, therefore it isn't true unless confirmed.
Chill out, bro.

And the new post for the childrens week event where the child wants to visit Garrosh instead of Cairne doesn't make you the least be suspicious? It would only mean Cairne isn't there for that quest anymore.

Not only is Cairne gone, but the kid actually
wants
Garrosh's autograph? I see the propaganda machine is in full force in Orgrimmar. The schools will have the kids singing songs of praise to him before too much longer.
But hey, there's still a patch or two to go here. Maybe Garrosh will do something to make himself appear cool. At least enough to overtake Basic Campfire in the Orgrimmar's Next Top Warchief voting.

If the 'leaked' rumor was true what it said about Garrosh though, making him cool for a short time won't matter jack if he killed Cairne in caraclysm. Not to mention banning all trolls, undead and belfs from the centre of org.. and I can bet you anything you like it will be Grimtotem tauren stationed there.

Hmm.. I read the blue post.. and I still don't like it. It seems in an effort to push things ahead there changing so much in the horde, replacing both main faction leader that everyone admires, and one who hasn't been given any time to develop, though that might change in cata.. though he won't be leader of the tauren anymore.
I still stand by what I've said before, playing the horde with someone like Garrosh leading it will just make me regret it each time I log in. I can understand change, but changing things for the sake of something short hand like more warring in warcraft isn't the best.
If there was an option to leave the horde and join Thrall as a third faction I would do it.

Even though I mainly play Alliance, it just won't feel the same without Thrall. I mean sure, Cairne was a relatively big part in lore, but in-game, I can do without him. A nice change with the messed up leadership in Darnassius would be nice....
Yep. The horde without Thrall just makes it something, as a lore fan, you don't feel good being a part of, because even when the horde did something less them heroic, it was Thralls ideal that made it seem like you were proud of your faction.
The alliance gains a leader who, for all his tunnel vision and orc hating, they seems proud of, and so blizzard removes the leader we're proud of and gives us some bastard we don't want... thats just twisting the knife in.

Horde without Thrall is like diet drinks. They try and pull off that "same great taste" line...but not really. This pretty much says it all.

Seriously Blizzard, ill bet at least 3/4 of the Horde hate you for this. Then again, when have you ever favored the Horde?
Very good point.
It has never been a case of 'oh he's the warchief, we're just follow him'.,Its the lore surrounding the character, what he's done, that the horde we know and love now could never have been without him, and despire all things people are proud to follow him.
And its not like he's even an old leader, he's, at best, in his 30s, and younger then Garrosh (it was proven in another thread), so the idea of him stepping down for someone older then him fails the point on that.

and yet nobody in the horde actually knows what is going to happen yet or what the storyline will be.
which goes to show that 3/4 of the horde are whining fools getting wound up over snippets of information almost a year before the expansion even comes out.
if this is what the new horde has come to then i depair.

I believe that Blizzard have made a really good plot. I mean Thrall being captured by The Alliance and Garrosh overtaking the Horde? I smell bribing from Garrosh's side.

I wouldn't mind this in terms of plot as it goes. With Thrall captured (maybe even it being arranged bu Garrosh) and him seazing power, with the crisis in cataclysm Thrall has to focus on saving the world and doing what he can.
This I wouldn't have minded since it could open the door for a plot to have Thrall retake leadership from him.. but that was until I saw the post about the childrens week event and the orphan kid wanting to see Garrosh instead of Cairne.. that just rang bells there.

R.I.P Cairne.
Hopefully Vol'jin is a rogue and will kill Garrosh in his sleep.
That being said, my orc Warrior will be signing up for Garrosh's SS, betta believ' dat playa.
Maybe Belfs can be the focal point of our aggression? If so then I'm behind Garrosh 100%.

There was a recent post on the official forums that mentioned something about many players assuming that Thrall's understanding of honor is not the necessarily the only idea of honor in the Horde. I doubt Garrosh will stay as bad of a character as he has been so far.
