Alright, I think I've tried them all: oUF, Pitbull, XPerl, Stuf, you name it.
I'm using eePanels2 to import a sword hilt .tga texture, and I'd like for the Health & Mana (Rage, Energy, etc) bars to make up the blade. I'm also wanting to put a circular 3D portrait of the player just behind the hilt. So far, not one of these UF add-ons has accomplished what I'm looking for.
Can someone please guide me here?

You need to define an appropriately transparent-ized texture for the bars that represent the HP and MP.

Can I get that in layman's terms please? I understand that I will need to define a new texture, but how do I make one transparentized and where do I save it so that it's accessible by, say, Pitbull?

If you don't have sharedmedia installed, go install it. There's at least 2 or 3 'round' textures in there, and they'll all show up in pitbull. As far as making your own, you can either do it by scratch, or copy one of the textures in shared media, and edit it's alpha channel so that it's rounded the way you want. Then it's just a matter of putting it back into sharedmedialib via mymedia or a similar addon.

In that case, look at some of the texture files included in sharedmedia with the gimp for examples and just duplicate the effort for your purposes :).
