Where have I seen that "3x3" layout before, I wonder...? Was it Diablo III...?
This sounds great!
Excellent! A feature that is long overdue. Better late than never!
No. Its only for crafted gear
The professions that will be suffering from this change are actually the gathering profs, mainly mining and skining. Those gathering profs have been used by some just for selling the raw mats on the AH and not crafting anything with them. This feature brings an alternative method of getting the materials that used to be exclusive to miners and skinners, hence decreasing the value of those materials.
love it because the first thing im going to make as an engineer is the mk1,,
you can scrap most equippable BFA gear, not just crafted gear..that is soo awesomness.. cause im going to need al of that explsom stuff
It's all good, except it ...is not. I aways wanted scrapping, but built into professions. Are you a tailor? Get some cloth. Engi/BS? Get some ores. JC? Get some gems. LW? Get some leather/scales etc. Alchy and Insc should get consumables split between them to compensate for herbs, or just make herbs common enough to make their acquisition a non-issue. But still, I am glad, this is a welcome change even when forcing me to lug bags full of stuff into city to scrap.
I think it will be fine....it will shift the market some, but I don't think that is a bad thing. I like that you can scrap most wearable gear, _not just_ CRAFTED gear. Yes enchanting mats will go up in value and consequently enchants as well....but how is that bad for enchanters? Enchanting can potentially become more lucrative. Yes, Enchanters will have to juggle DEing and Scrapping, but why is that bad? I agree with a previous post, skinning and mining will take the hardest hit on gold-making potential, because people can scrap leather or plate gear. However, if I am not mistaking the raw material yield isn't really that high on the Scrapper. So, perhaps it won't be that bad.The sky is not falling...
