I'm surprised there isn't an ignore button next to peoples names with all of the negative comments I see every time Wowhead covers anything at all. Sorting through comments would be much less depressing if all the trolls were muted. Dare to dream.
I'm quite disappointed nobody asked the really mean questions at the story panel yet.
>WoW>story telling
It takes 20 people to write quests that are 1-2 sentences long and only come out every other year or so? Wow. No wonder their writing is a huge mess. Too many cooks in that kitchen, that's for sure.I don't think anyone is really "in charge" of the lore at this point. I think writer-of-the-week proposes an idea to boss-guy and he says, "Yeah!" and then the same thing happens the next week. There's no coherence, control, thematic mapping, etc. That's why we have these giant plot holes and lore that doesn't respect canon. I've also noticed about 1/3 of all the quests in BfA have horrendous grammar; comma splices, run-on sentences, faulty parallelisms, you name it. The whole thing needs a lot of work. I have zero confidence in the current team's ability to rise to the high bar that should be set for WoW.
After the number of times I've suffered through Tyrande crying out for Malfurion in Val'Sharah I'd be more than happy for her to meet an unceremonious end to help even the scales. As an Alliance player I too hope Sylvanas gets better treatment than a Garrosh 2.0 in BfA. There's the potential, they've already shown that burning Teldrassil down was not her intention and that she wished to control it, so potentially it was done by an outside force to help "stoke the fires" of the faction war and keep us fighting each other......Saurfang for Warchief ;)
"Sometimes characters have to die non-heroic deaths" yes blizzard that is true. But did Vol'jin have to die a non-heroic and utterly pathetic death for any reason other than Sylvie was more marketable and you didn't want to hear Alliance players complain that Varian died but Vol'jin didn't?Sorry Blizzard but I say y'all need to take things into baby steps.
Hm, there are some "big surprises" before the expansion launches.... I rather doubt that... but any way...Yeahh...... Sorry will only believe it when I see / read it. (and no I do not read any of the books....) I never do stuff that forces me to do anything.....like reading the books just to know the story that should be in the game....
