Specs considered underpowered are generally played less and tend to appear weaker than they are.

This happens as many performance-oriented players tend to play the strongest spec or class, increasing the gap between top and bottom specs even further.

Position of specs for the 95th percentile might be skewed by alternative strategies and parse funneling. We're including the chart showing all percentiles' results to paint a better picture for all specs.

I honestly don't understand it, and this is as someone who was putting in 16+ hour days into the game from Nov 05 to until the launch of Cata when I finally slowed down (but didn't stop).

I played because it was the best mmo available, but in no universe does this remain the best available option anymore. There are multiple better version of wow out now and several better options available outside of wow as well. You still look at Vanilla server with very Retail oriented mindset and create wrong impression about class efficiencies. Damage isnt the only defining thing in Vanilla when it comes to raids, there are other utility and support abilities that bring bigger value. There are active/passive buffs (resistances, mana regeneration) , active/passive debuffs (armor reduction, spell penetration) threat management, resource conservation and etc - those are defining things of classic RPG. And you never ever mentioned. You keep reposting these DPS statistics that doesnt tell anything, but just keep accumalating that toxic atmoshphere

Very unprofessional from Wowhead. It makes sense to post DPS statistics for SOD, because SOD introduced radical changes that brough game design philosophy closer to the later expansion/retail. Vanilla WoW is still a standalone game with unique game mechanics, but you keep looking from absolutely wrong perspective.
