You mean to tell me they actually provided a beneficial spell for players to an affix? I'll be damned.
They're really phoning it in with this "pride" theme. At least the mechanic looks like it can provide some interesting strategies, especially if you combo it with some of the Covenant Dungeon bonuses like the spear of destiny on Spires of Ascension.
This looks like a fantastic seasonal affix. Choosing when to get the manifestation, when to kill it, and how to use the buff sounds like it could open up tons of options!
This is how we know you haven't even done a single 10 or higher key in S4.
I don't mean to be rude, but can you folks at wowhead go back to not using clickbait icons for your articles? I miss the old days of seeing an article by you guys, click it, and the screenshot or picture in the article link is IN the article. It's very misleading.
The obelisks were a potentially very powerful affix as it allowed the party to skip as much trash as they wanted and led to some interesting strategies (such as having a rogue/mage activate it while the party is waiting for the lieutenant in the other plane) but the biggest problem with it was that it put so much stress on a tank, and much more if they were a new player. This affix is the same way. Choosing when the pop the Manifestation and take the buff can be game-changing, but requires the tank to path very carefully and have a very advanced knowledge of the dungeon. For this reason, we will likely see a huge shortage of tanks as we saw through pretty much all of 8.3
