Such a joke. Another gold sink for those who's bank account can be milked. You can either spend all your time in game or buy some wow token to get enough gold to buy these upgrades. Or if you decent enough then you can join the boosting business to make some gold but that will force others to buy wow tokens. They clearly know how to make the same amount of money with the third of the playerbase (compared to the glorious days of wow).
Sadly not really worth it. When they removed the xp bonus they were almost useless and especially for the 50-60 range they will be helpful the first 3 levels after that it doesn't matter. And heck even the first few levels it's probably going to be cheaper to just buy some 100ilvl lvl 50-51 items from the AH, considering the price you will have to pay for these. Perhaps if they add some dmg procs to them and also some transformation procs where you transform into different characters/mobs while you use them. Then it might be fun to use them.
I would only ever upgrade the Garrosh heirlooms anyway so its not that bad of a price tag.
Bloody worthless trashlooms."They grant you out of combat regeneration!" Yeah and almost every class has a self-heal anyway. The few that need to be in combat to use it don't really need to heal between fights. And if you're dungeon farming, not only do you have a healer, but you also are gonna be in fights near constantly."You do a burst of AoE damage when you level up!" And you'll basically never level up while still in combat so at best it'll do nothing, at worst it'll aggro neutral mobs."You'll get more rested experience!" Well, that's useful if you make an alt then ignore it for several days at a time I guess? Otherwise, bfd. Just like everything else.So for the most part, they're just greens that scale with your level. Hardly worth sinking three quarters of a million gold into.
Heirlooms have always been a gold sink, prices seem completely fine to me. You don't need heirlooms in any way to level 50-60. Whether you are spamming dungeons or doing campaign your gear won't matter until you hit 60.
Okay, okay... They doing "fine" right now.The only thing I think we need right now is: -At least be able to chose what we want from the vault (other items can be random but chose at least 1).-Enhace conduits for anima PLEASE.We just need these 2 simple things
When you think they learned from their mistakes, but in the end, it's still the same %^&* as before.Heirlooms should be a bonus for reroll not a money pit. We spent a lot of gold in the past cuz it was worth it with the exp bonus, but now it's only for keeping the same item from 1 to 60.
The gold cost is just ridiculous considering how worthless the boni are.Let's see what scaling they will get, but from late Legion/BFA we can conclude they will scale like green level rewards, so they are actually worse than any procced quest reward or dungeon drop.I hope they will be purchasable with timewarped badges, this was a cheap and convenient way to buy the current upgrades (armor to 50 is 1000, weapon 1200 - which means doing one timewalking dungeon with two chars was enough to buy the upgrade). I would never spend the gold on them.
I dontreally see the point of hierlooms without the xp boost, when ever i make a alt these days i just use the weapons honestly.
Its insane. After level squish, these hardly outweigh the stats on any other dungeon drops, provide no xp-gain bonus and kost more than mounts. Even the hard to get trinkets had their battleground xp bonuses removed(which was so uncalled for). These prices are nowhere near fair.
This is such a resounding "So?" kind of news. Heirlooms haven't been worth putting on since the exp bonus was removed; they're weaker than random gear and none of the bonuses have any real effect. I wouldn't spend 2k upgrading them to 60, the value of owning them is so low.
Bring the XP boost back for heirlooms (only for 50-60) and I'll spend the cash. Otherwise, it's a lot of gold for very little benefit. So, no way, thanks.
Why so overpriced? They are simply not worth the price...
Finally something i can spend the 0 gold on that i have left after buying leggos
Callings give you around 2,000 gold per completion, so a weeks worth will get you enough for an upgrade. It’s not bad if you’re looking to casually upgrade them over time.
They really need to do something else with heirlooms, they have been pretty meh after they massacred them back in bfa.
