I know it's a little cliche, but NAGRAND! It's a zone that has pretty much everything I love 'bout WoW. It's an extremely beautiful zone, but that's not the only thing. It has an epic Nesingwary quest chain. It's got a pvp based encampment. It has a FFA Arena. It's filled to the brim with lore. It has elementals, beasts, humanoids heck... it's even got a "world boss" of sorts. One of the Na'aru ships lies there. The first legendary Ring of Blood is there, which got me my first serious weapon back when I was 70. It also has a zone filled with demonic corruption you must battle against, and that's the place I flew on a dragon for the first time in my time spent ingame! And not to forget that part of the epic Black Temple attunement quest. I mean... it's got so much things packed in it... it's hard not to fall in love with it. I mean... who can ever forget Corki and his annoying habbit of getting captured by ogres?P.S.: It also has a poop quest...
This is truely a difficult question to narrow down since each expansion offers it's own flavor. So I'd have to break it up like that In old world I'd have to say Un Goro was one of my favorites. Felt like I was running around in Jurrasic Park or Land of the Lost. Plus the scenery and questlines are fantastic and as horde you can get a wicked raptor mount out of it if you have the determination to stick out doing all the daily quests for it. In Outlands I'd have to say Hellfire just cause the questlines were good and its about the time you get flying and dungeons really start coming into play where toons really take on there own personality and seperate from each other. Also it was really the first zone that really forced pvp upon us because its the first zone in which horde and ally had to do together. I mean with vanilla areas it was mostly more just horde or ally based and you could chose to skip over areas that involved both. In outlands that all changed. Northrend I'd have to say probably Icecrown was my favorite. Mostly cause Icecrown had so much to offer and had its own like mini zone inside itself with the argent crusade. That and the questlines were amazing mixed with all the undead and death knight lore and stuff all over. I mean my undead DK felt and looked like a pig in mud the entire time. As for the new zomes the opened with Cata each are amazing in there own right but the two that stand out the most for me are Uldum and Vahj'ir. Uldum mostly because of the amazing questlines and all the anchient Egyptian myhtology. Vashj'ir because it is the first zone of its kind. I mean completely underwater with its own mount and you had to learn a new skill with underwater breathing just to survive. I mean it brought back nostalgia going all the way back to classic games like Super Mario Brothers and the underwater levels and how they added a different element to the game. If for no other reason Twillight Highlands has to at least be an honorable mention because of the questline that gives the backstory of and really introduces us to Deathwing. If I had to make a suggestion for a zone I'd like to see I'd have to see I'd have to say I think an oriental mythological zone would be quite interesting. i mean one that focuses on the lore of the ninja and samurai.

It might not be the most popular place these days with the "new" vanilla or the recent Northrend, but I must say that my favourite zone of all times must be Nagrand.Partially it might be due to the aesthetics. It's bright, green, lush, and as a young druid all those floating islands are just made for me to fly up to and sit on, looking down on the world below. Or perhaps it was the quests; Meeting the ancestral orcs, Nessingwary's quests, the throne of elements, demon hunting (and let's not forget jumping on the trampoline to get an egg for some hungry NPC). And when you were all grown up you could still return for your Mag'har and Consortium rep and head to Halaa for world pvp.But most likely, it was all of the above plus the fond memories I have questing here with friends when I levelled my very first character.
Storm Peaks is by far the best. Great Questing, good mining and herbing. Where else in the game can you go jump on land mines and there also be a free flying mount if you can find it. Also I live in the desert so seeing all the snow is a very nice change lol.
My favorite zone is Uldum, due to the great questline focused on Harrison Jones.
Zangarmarsh will always be my favorite. The mushroom trees are awesome and the lakes are very peaceful. :)
For me it was always Blackrock Mountain. The whole area around it and inside had this "epic" feel that few other places in Azeroth came close to. Especially back in the day there were some great times to be had. Ridiculously long and involved quest lines, 5-10-40 man dungeons/raids, PvP that could rage for hours... the list could go on for a while.Between Blizzard doing a magnificent job blending the rich lore and stunning visuals they are known for, and the crazy memories of playing there with friends, I think it will always be tops for me.
zangarmarsh, as a druid that place just looks awesome
My favorite is Tirisfal Glades. My first character I ever made in the WoW stress test beta was an Undead Rogue. I had tons of fun skulking around this atmospheric zone. No better way to start my six-plus year adventure with WoW than rising from my grave. The Forsaken have remained my favorite race.
Many people I know have said they hate this zone, but I really really like Un'Goro Crater, especially before Cataclysm. You'd pick up the quests and then just circle the zone to complete. No fancy hills or chasms to traverse. It was especially nice while mining cause you could just watch tv and circle the zone. Shimmering Flats also falls into this category, but Un'Goro is much more easy on the eyes.
Uldum is my favorite zone because as you progress through the zone it becomes less of a barren desert to more of a lush living zone, not to mention Harrison Jones, he's my favorite!
Definitely Hellfire Peninsula, I was live for the opening of the dark portal and seeing the expanse of hellfire and the army of demons outside it was amazing.
