Increased Health - Means you actually have to use more than 1-2 skills to kill something. You actually play your class with the abilities intended to play TOGETHER.More XP for kills - Kill fewer things, get same reward. Same time investment. I am game.Lower stats on Heirlooms - That is fine. The XP Bonus is the most critical element of them, and that is remaining.Flying without having to buy extra "licenses" - Also fine. Just saves me going to buy the heirloom license on my main. All in all, this looks perfectly okay. Now just to figure out what Allied Races I will grab to level (and on what classes).
Removing heirlooms entirely and just incorporating their exp boost into the changes would've been way better. Heirlooms are the reason you aren't rewarded with usable gear while leveling. Remove heirlooms and we have the old leveling reward system back too. Right now exp gains and difficulty have been addressed but there are still no rewards because heirlooms trump all other gear.As for difficulty - a game developer looks at the total time it takes to reach max level. They can set that time to whatever they like and still make the game as difficult as they like by adjusting exp gain. More difficult but more exp balances itself out in the amount of time it takes. The result is just a better gaming experience. Not sure why it took them 7+ years to fix some of the game. Maybe if they kept working on parts of the game aside from the newest expansion then they would have a great overall game again that would once again receive praise and subscriptions from gamers.
I'm actually pretty excited about this.I like the part where heirloom stats were nerfed. Like, you're already getting boosted XP, do you really need to have the best stats as well? It'd be nice to see them lowered to basic green stats, where players with dungeon blues are stronger but don't have the xp buff.
I'm so excited for these changes. They're breathing life back into the leveling experience and I couldn't be happier about it.

Leveling is my favorite part of the game. Really happy to see all of this. I’d like to get immersed in the purpose of a zone and resolve it before outleveling it.
Higher Health + less heirlooms stats = I'M SO EXCITED! I never liked that heirloom gear placed you so far above other players in stats, and they said they were going to fix it and they did. GO BLIZZ!
This. Is. Awesome!
Does it means we can flying on draenor when we already learn expert riding or higher without having draenor pathfinder achievement unlocked?
I admit the bit about flying surprises me. I half expected a Pathfinder-ish achievement process, to be honest. But I suppose this also makes sense, considering that your flying mount flies the same in Outland as it does in the old world, in Northrend, in Pandaria, etc., etc....
If the flying changes are permanent and not just PTR convenience, I will be happy. I had been very concerned about the convenience difference between Cataclysm and Pandaria being in direct competition, when Cata you can fly and Pandaland you can't without a BMAH book until 90; thus why ever do Pandaria and be stuck grounded? Though free is also nice, I was content paying the fees, I just wanted them ..earlier. So things were equal.
Finally, thank God. Took them long enough. Love the changes to zone scaling, not having to sacrifice finishing the story of a zone to go to another one for more experience is great. Also getting sick and tired of one shotting mobs. So the increase in mob health is welcome. And although it will take more experience to get from 10 to 60, the experience reward from both quest and mobs are increased. For those complaining about the heirloom nerf, its pretty small. The changes to primary and secondary stats are decreased by like 2-4. 20 crit instead 22 crit? 17 intellect instead of 21? Big deal, hardly much of a nerf. So overall loving these changes and hope they don't cave to the whiners who love mindlessly one shotting mobs while leveling.
We can fly in Pandaland at lv 85? Bout time.
I got all classes at 110. Do i feel excited about leveling again? Hell no, especially with higher health mobs. I was ENJOYING one shotting everything. Made it feel like all those years of gathering heirloom gear mattered. But yeah i was kinda expecting it, in a world where Blizz feels the need to once again have you spend 20 seconds killing a mob even if you're super well geared. Surprised about the flying thing, i was expecting no flight at all until 120.The people saying it's a good move are the same who say they're gonna quit live once Classic opens, but won't be able to handle Classic for more than 10 levels...it's sad, really. If you haven't done the storyzones in EK/Kalimdor because "you were overleveled" it means you actually have no interest in lore, so don't go around throwing that excuse. You're already getting level scaling so that's enough.Once again, thank god i won't be affected by these ridiculous changes. Edit: Oh yeah, good luck Ironman Challengers!
No as was mentioned you will be able to fly in any content that did not require a pathfinder achievement so in WoD and legion no unless you have the pathfinders unlocked on one toon already if you do not then you will need to complete those pathfinder achievements to unlock flying in those zones for all your toons once unlocked on a single toon :) hope that helps answer your question
More emphasis on fighting and less on running around all the time? This patch is gonna be awesome!
