We're always looking for ways to improve Heroes of the Storm, and this year we've been hard at work on a number of changes designed to improve gameplay at all skill levels. We showed these changes to professional players and key community members earlier this year, and now we're opening them up to the public through an extended testing period on the PTR, beginning on November 20. Let us know what you think!
We are slightly increasing the in-game field of view to help improve team fight clarity and overall visibility.
In order to properly balance Stealth for both casual and high-end play, we're making it easier to spot stealthed Heroes. This is accompanied by buffs to the Stealth Heroes.
To better showcase individual skill in lane matchups, we're exploring ways to make the laning phase more meaningful without increasing overall game length.
To create more impactful choices about how, when, and which Mercenary Camps to capture, we are making changes to various Mercenaries.
It's about to get easier than ever to coordinate plays with your allies, because we're integrating Blizzard Voice directly into the Heroes of the Storm client! Voice chat in Heroes will be available in the months to come.
We're further increasing the accuracy of our matchmaking system by taking your individual performance and contributions into account after each match, rather than relying solely on victory or defeat.
More details coming soon!
Now Alex can be a support I can play! I didn't like other supports so far (except our lord and saviour UTHER)
Hanzo mains, your time to shine
I want to like HotS, just wish I had the time to play it. Support for lyfe!
I was actually expecting a Warcraft map, or at least a new Blizz classic Hero
Actually these changes might make me go back to HotS again. Blizzard for sure knows how to promote their games and excite people.
Most of us sadly already new which are going to be the new heroes, so it was not such a surprise. I am very happy about the new MMR system and i hope it will work well and much better then the current one.
Hanzo looks fun and the camera rework should let me enjoy the game more.
Im so exited! Alexstrasza is georgeous!Love the new camera thing!
The aspects in WoW may be fading, but it's nice to see them starting to appear elsewhere!
RYUUGAWA GA TEKI WO KURAU!Man, this gives me goosebumps, and I don't even play Overwatch or Heroes...
FINALLY! DRAGONS! :D
I don't play heroes, but that cinematic was ace as hell!
I was never able to get into HoTS because of the camera. Hopefully this new camera fix will make the game more fun and viable. I look forward to trying it out.
Hots is so booooring. Game was born dead, with opponents such as LoL and DotA2.
Sweet Alexstrasza is in HotS.
Im not sure why Alextraza is so poorly made in the cinematic. It was a bit underwhelming.
I rarely play HotS, but this sounds cool.
Wasn't Hanzo family somewhat bound to (their canon's) dragons? For the whole video I thought he should have shown more respect to Alexstrasza :P But anyway, she was so cool in the cinematic I can't wait to play her~
Sweet more dragons.
Alexstrasza seems bit pale, but her kit seems really interesting!
