Blizzard Has a Plan to Take Care of Casino Bots

The casino thing that's vogue right now. Just to confirm we're aware, it's still against policy to advertise a casino (https://us.support.blizzard.com/en/help/article/000227547) so keep reporting them (or dropping infernals on them).

Digging in, it looks like the RMT crowd (that's gold sellers) have realized this is an easy way to make gold quickly and cheaply, which has driven an uptick in the behavior.

You caught Watcher's attention so we have a few folks looking into ideas on how we can make getting these people out of the game much faster so the activity is less lucrative and in turn, they will hopefully piss off.

Don't expect any sort of big fanfare "Mission Accomplished!" banner for this one, this is one of the ones that you hopefully don't even notice stopped happening if we get it right.

I also wonder why players should report them, as their constant trading and them being fresh accounts while spaming the same casino ads should be enough for Blizzard's automation. Instead, we get these ridiculous versions with so many changes and tweaks, for fake vanilla and even fake expansions. And nothing you do on these realms will ever actually matter. It's just like being on a private server.

The majority doesn't waste time on them. Yet the vocal minority who already sabotaged their own enjoyment of real WoW will play on them because they have nothing else going on in their lives.

I would say that at least people can experience the quests, dungeons and raids that were part of vanilla, but with all the changes to systems and encounters and everything else, its not even worth it.

Just say no. Play World of Warcraft on retail realms, not on Fake WoW Realms. Every day this nonsense continues WoW's reputation gets worse. And eventually, there will be no coming back from it. Hopefully they wake up and realize they should just ignore the vocal minority and shut down all these fake realms. Fingers crossed.
