In the World of Warcraft: Classic Beta, players are experiencing the joys of weapon skill once again (as they were removed in the Cataclysm pre-patch). Today we will highlight our Classic WoW Weapon Skill guide, which outlines which weapon skills a class can learn, where they can learn them, and much more.

What is Weapon Skill?
Weapon skill represents your proficiency with a type of weapon, and increasing your weapon skill reduces your chance to miss when attacking a target. All characters start out with a few weapon skills depending on their chosen class and race, and can train additional weapon skills from Weapon Masters in each major city.
While spells in Classic WoW can be resisted (comparable to missing with a melee weapon), weapon skill is not taken into consideration when determining if a spell will hit. Weapon skill is only a factor for melee attacks.
Characters at level 1 start with a weapon skill cap of 5, and the weapon skill cap value increases by 5 based on your level. At level 60, a character's weapon skill cap will be 300.
Some items and racial abilities grant additional weapon skill, which can exceed the skill cap of 300. For example, the Orc racial ability
