We advise getting as close to both Hit and Expertise caps (6 and 14%, respectively) as you can;
The set featured sits at 6% Hit and 13% Expertise. If perfect consistency is an outright necessity for you, consider swapping out 황금 둥지의 망토 for 새벽지기의 망토. Both perform very similarly. You could also replace it with 모래폭풍 망토 or 지하마귀 비단 망토 whenever you are lacking in Hit chance as you gear-up.

Acquiring six pieces of our new 길잡이의 수호자 set is an absolute priority. The 6-piece set bonus is incredibly strong due to how powerful Haste is for us this phase (this is explained in-depth in the Haste paragraph further below).

Your remaining slot choices for off-piece items are naturally quite aggressive, incurring some sacrifices regarding Stamina and general defensive prowess but making up for it with a vast array of powerful offensive stats. The combination of 고문관의 연장허리띠 and 곰 조련용 장화 seems to yield the best results.

Following the Haste-centric theme, 거미의 입맞춤 and 버려진 실험체 are our most powerful Trinket choices, and both are very potent for us. The first one should likely be popped on pull, as to stack it multiplicatively with your 개박하 and maximize snap-threat, building a very large threat-lead in the opening seconds of the encounter. The second should follow suit right after, and it is honestly straight-up the most powerful item in your arsenal if you value them based on the raw impact they have per slot. Expect both of these items (especially the latter) to be quite contested, and they could be regarded as controversial priorities for a Bear over a DPSer.

옥죄는 사슬 is picked over 쑨의 문장 or other neck choices because we value the 2% Expertise it provides for this specific set quite a lot. 헤로드의 희망 is also a very strong choice (albeit more contested) if you can fit it in, but it often means you'd want to find Hit or Expertise somewhere else to compensate.

Both rings featured are focused on TPS and damage, with the Cat version of our Tier 3 ring outperforming the Bear one for these purposes. Expect 베일린의 고리 to be a heavily contested ring.

붉은십자군 부패인도자 is now the undisputed best Weapon choice for Feral Tanks. It features all the base Stats we want, alongside a lovely 2% Expertise increase and hefty amounts of Feral Attack Power. Last but not least, similarly to 우레폭풍 - 바람추적자의 성검, it delivers a powerful multi-target proc that deals Nature damage and also applies a 천둥벼락-like effect on targets hit by it.

We advise getting as close to both Hit and Expertise caps (6 and 14%, respectively) as you can;
There are two variants of this set, both of which land perfectly at 6% Hit and 14% Expertise (Hit-cap and Expertise-capped). They vary based on which item you choose as your single "off-piece" slot, as well as your second Trinket option. They both sim very similarly.

Other good trinkets to consider will be included in the appropriate slot-table. If you replace the ones mentioned for other options, you would preferably try to compensate for the loss in Hit Chance/Expertise. For this purpose, consider swapping your 황금 둥지의 망토 for 모래폭풍 망토/지하마귀 비단 망토/새벽지기의 망토, swapping 제왕 베클로어의 반지 for 나스레짐 실반지/안젤리스타의 손길/전사한 수호병의 인장 반지, or using 오닉시아 피 부적/리어니드의 부적/응징의 자철석. You could also just replace your 꿈의감시자의 수호자 item of choice to pair with the ring.

Acquiring six pieces of our new 길잡이의 수호자 set is an absolute priority. The 6-piece set bonus is incredibly strong due to how powerful Haste is for us (this is explained in-depth in the Haste paragraph further below).

We opt for retaining 2 pieces of the 꿈의감시자의 수호자 set, and here is why:
꿈의감시자 실반지 would be an obvious pick even on its own because it's crammed with robust stats and is the best general tank ring. This places you 1 item away from the 2-piece set bonus, so the minor stat losses incurred to reach it by "downgrading" one slot from Tier 3.5 to Tier 3 are a worthy sacrifice to make. 꿈의감시자 건틀릿 for your hand-slot are a great choice because they have very similar stats to 길잡이의 건틀릿 yet essentially trade away 1% Expertise less for 1% more Haste. Here is the catch, though: since you've now unlocked the potent 2-piece set bonus, you get to fetch that lost Expertise back, and then some, plus you value the extra Haste a lot.
The best part of the deal, nonetheless, is that now your 포효 can no longer miss. 포효 is considered a spell, and its accuracy is based on your Spell Hit chance (this is also why you can't cast it when silenced). This makes it an unreliable ability, even when melee hit-capped, making this set bonus a great quality of life tool for consistency. It could prevent a wipe during taunt-based tank swaps or avoid the need to rely on wasting your 도전의 포효 when your taunt misses.

거미의 입맞춤 remains the best snap-threat trinket in the game. Best when popped on pull alongside your 개박하 since building a solid threat lead early on at the beginning of the encounter is often the most important as a tank. Realistically, a Bear should attempt to acquire/have acquired one by now, so it is featured even on this list.

쑨의 문장 is just generally a solid choice for Neck, and both 황금 둥지의 망토/제왕 베클로어의 반지 are honestly just really nice options for their respective slots when we do not need any more Hit/Expertise, as is the case with this set.

This set lands at 6% Hit and 13% Expertise (Hit-cap and 1% away from Expertise-capped). This should be perfectly fine and achieves a more balanced set in general. However, if perfect consistency is an outright necessity for you, consider swapping out 쑨의 문장 for 글루스의 잃어버린 목걸이 and making up for the loss in Hit Chance by swapping 황금 둥지의 망토 for 모래폭풍 망토/지하마귀 비단 망토 or 네룹의 눈 for 하인의 육척봉.

We are going for the "double 4-piece" setup, hence, we take four 꿈의감시자의 수호자 items alongside four 태초의 격노 ones. This is because, assuming that we are not fighting Undead enemies, it is more impactful to have the 4-piece tier 2.5 set bonus unlocked than the slight stat gains we would get from running more tier 3, given how powerful 짓이기기 is.

Conversely to what was stated above, should you be facing any Undead foes, then you should definitely bring six pieces of the 꿈의감시자의 수호자 set instead, because the 6-Piece set-bonus from it is absurdely strong against them and provides an insane ammout of survivability if they keep refreshing your 광포한 재생력.

무한한 고통의 허리띠 is a great choice for the belt, but do not worry if you don't have one. 꿈의감시자 장식띠, the Cat version of our tier 3 belt, is the perfect replacement for it, and they both perform very, very similarly. It should also be quite easy to acquire by now if you find yourself a spare 더럽혀진 벨트. You could also just opt to run 꿈의감시자 허리보호대, and compensate for the loss in Hit Chance accordingly (check the first paragraph of this set description for ideas on how to do so).

거미의 입맞춤 remains the best snap-threat trinket in the game when popped on pull alongside your 개박하, and building a very solid and early threat lead on the beginning of the encounter is often the most important as a tank.

쑨의 문장, 전사한 수호병의 인장 반지, and 응징의 자철석 are all generally just great choices overall for their respective slots.

네룹의 눈 is generally a great weapon choice whenever we don't need the Hit chance from 하인의 육척봉, but feel free to use the latter, even if that point in Hit goes to waste, as it's generally just a great item overall. 아티쉬 - 수호자의 지팡이, if you somehow got access to one, or 대장군의 찌르개, for the hardcore PVP rankers, are also great choices to consider.

Expertise reduces the chance for our attacks to be either Dodged or Parried, making it twice as valuable as Hit Chance when it’s affecting both outcomes and the Target is facing you. The value on this Stat does not increase linearly since the chance for a Boss (regarded as a level 63) to Dodge our attacks is only around 6%, whereas their chance to Parry is as high as 14%. Hence, after 6% Expertise, your hits can't be Dodged anymore, and it only reduces Parry chance. Mind you, while less effective, it still remains a very powerful Stat (as valuable as Hit Chance) until 14%. At this point the Boss can no longer Dodge nor Parry, and it's useless to add more of it.
Adding Expertise to our Sets adds consistency by virtue of helping you land your Threat-generating abilities, like 가르기 or 후려치기, and it's a great boost to our Threat-Per-Second and overall Damage output. You also really want to avoid having your first 짓이기기 be Dodged or Parried, in order to make sure you have 수호병의 결의 up as soon as possible.
Our main priority is reaching a “Soft-Cap” of 6% in the Expertise stat mentioned above. Until we hit this number, Expertise is far and beyond the most impactful Stat we can acquire. It's not even close.

Considering the plethora of Hit Chance Items available to us, you should likely strive to remain Hit-Capped as you gear-up (6% bonus Hit Chance when running the 야생 전투 전문화 ring rune). If either you or a Feral Cat DPSer is running their Two-Piece Core-forged Set-Bonus as their Shoulder enchant, then this value drops to 5%.

6-Piece Bear T1 is your strongest single-target option regarding raw threat-per-second, so you can't go too wrong with picking it. Even though in practice it only truly increases all threat done by 13% (as opposed to the 20% stated on the tooltip), it is still likely the safest choice for the beginner player who wants to ensure beyond any doubts that he stays ahead of any DPSers in the aggro table. You might consider keeping it on your AoE 서슬가시 어깨덧대 shoulders.

4-Piece Cat T2.5 is, in theory, a DPS set bonus meant for Feral Cats, however, the fact that it also affects 짓이기기 while in 광포한 곰 변신 makes it the best choice for most players, especially aggressive tanks looking to parse. The dps and tps increase it provides outshine most tanking set-bonuses for both of these metrics, even 4-Piece Bear T2, or 4-Piece Bear T2.5. You should definitely consider using it if you feel like you can easily top the threat meter without needing to rely on 6pT1, since unlike 6pT1 this one boosts threat in a manner that remains useful and relevant towards your performance even if you're already sitting comfortably on top of the aggro table (as it does so by increasing your damage output, not through a threat modifier).

2-Piece Bear T2 is the best option for multi-target tanking. Note that 후려치기 accounts for almost half of your total damage done, and it features a strong threat-modifier. Enhancing it with a cleave effect is insanely strong and should be done, if possible, whenever dealing with cleavable Bosses or trash. However, usually sacrificing your shoulder enchant slot for this is not the play, because the Berserk with "cleave" the bleed effect from 4-Piece Cat T2.5 in cleave-based encounters. You should instead fit it in through manually swapping in two pieces of the 성난폭풍의 격노 set.

The Symbols of Unending Life set-bonus is very strong in theory given how strong of a stat Expertise is, as explained further below. However, given that there is a maximum cap on this Stat, and the fact that it is present in abundance in Phase 7 and 8 itemization, as well as in the new 붉은십자군 부패인도자 and the 2-Piece Tier 3 set-bonus, using this enchant is often not required as it could lead to overcapping.

2-Piece Cat T1 is the utility pick, providing a free extra 1% Hit Chance for all your raid members on any target affected by your 요정의 불꽃 (야성). You should discuss with your members whether they require you to run this or not, but keep in mind that it will come at the cost of sacrificing your individual performance slightly.

Multi-Target Scenarios

Cleave Encounters: Whenever the chance to "Cleave" two bosses presents itself, whether due to a mechanic or because your group is optimizing for speed, you should always bring two pieces of your Tier 2 성난폭풍의 격노 set. Even though these pieces are severely outdated by now in regards to their stats, the 2-Piece Bear T2 is just too good to pass up, given our strong reliance on 후려치기. Considering that this ability usually accounts for half of our total damage done, bolstering with a 회전베기-like effect that doubles the damage it deals will be far more impactful than the stat losses you will incur.
As explained in the "Set Bonus Shoulder Enchant" section, it's preferable that you wear two 성난폭풍의 격노 items rather than sacrificing your Shoulder Enchant slot for this. The specific slots that you pick aren't too important, but we advise that one of them be your Shoulders, since 성난폭풍 어깨덮개 is the only Tier 2 item that features Hit Chance. As for the other slot to pair with it, it's up to your own decision, depending on your currently available gear, but make sure that you keep your 6-piece set bonus going and that you try to follow the guidance and concepts from this guide when choosing.

Area of Effect/Trash: When facing a multitude of enemies, as usually is the case in 5-man Dungeons or while clearing trash mobs in-between Raid bosses, a few item-swaps become pertinent. Both the new 붉은십자군 부패인도자 and the old reliable 설퍼라스 - 라그나로스의 손 are wonderful weapon choices for this. All the Razorbramble pieces (서슬가시 수도두건, 서슬가시 가죽갑옷, and 서슬가시 어깨덧대 become extremely impactful for damage output and multi-target aggro due to their 피해 보호막 공격력 +100 가시-like effect, which features a 2x threat modifier. 응징의 자철석 should also preferably be equipped.

General Advice

Defense pieces are great to take generally, given it’s a very strong Stat at 4 Attack Power per Point via the 수호병의 결의 buff provided by 짓이기기. However, do not rely on it much as a Mitigation Stat. Armor and Stamina-filled items will work better for that purpose.
Strength gear is a great to focus on due to the amount of Attack Power it provides. Agility is a strong, balanced stat that provides offensive and defensive counterparts when present. Critical-Strike Chance (either raw or gained through Agility) and Attack Speed (known as Haste, already mentioned in a paragraph above) are also great offensive stats to consider.

Always account for any set bonuses that you might want to unlock or drop as you plan your gearing. Those are often more impactful than a few slight stat changes and are crucial in deciding whether to swap a piece or not. Often, you might want to wait for a couple of new upgrades before breaking an established set bonus or prioritize specific upgrades that will help you reach a new one.

Whenever you are facing Undead enemies (such as most 낙스라마스 bosses and trash) you should consider using six pieces of the Tier 3 꿈의감시자의 수호자 set. This is predominantly recommended for encounters and mechancis which place a high emphasis on your survivability, given how insanely powerful the 6-Piece T3 set-bonus is defensively.

Remember that the 선봉대의 여명의 문장 is still your main source of power while inside 낙스라마스, therefore you always want to bring 8 items with the Sanctified keyword whenever doing this content. Don't worry; most new Phase 8 items still feature this tag.

Items featuring the Timeworn will power-up your 노즈도르무 혈족 Signet Rings, if you are still opting to wear one.

Apart from the obvious ZG enchants, you could choose between Agility or Strengths for most other slots. Strength usually sims a little better for DPS/TPS, while agility is a nicely balanced stat with offensive and defensive components that still sims very well for those metrics.
For Hands, Strength, Agility, Haste, and Threat are all viable options. Haste sims best for DPS/TPS over a full encounter. It's usually very close to Strength, but keep in mind that if this 1% increase ends up being the deciding factor in reaching 129% total Haste, it will be significantly more impactful than any other enchant. Strength is right behind it for parsing, and is stronger for snap-threat on your abilities. 2% Threat will always be the best choice if your goal is maximum TPS, but it is often unnecessary and doesn't do well for damage. Agility is, as usual, the well-rounded, balanced choice. You can't go wrong with any of the four.

It's important to note that if you are still tanking 검은날개 둥지, then you are forced to wear the 오닉시아 비늘 망토 for 화염아귀, 에본로크 & 플레임고르, and 네파리안. Failing to do so will get you one-shot by their 암흑의 불길 ability.

Also worth mentioning as an off-hand for your UL set is 지식의 고서 which drops off of Archivist Galford on your way to the end of Strat Live. If you're unlucky with the Twins' box, or don't need the hit %, it's a decent enough stat stick, and easier to get than 무아의 돌.
