Site Not Fully Loading/Whitelist Messages - We're aware! Working on solution.

We are aware of an issue with images loading slowly, which is affecting loading times on Wowhead and preventing users from reading text. This also brings up whitelist messages, which are confusing and may lead users to think they need to whitelist Wowhead in order to read any content, which is untrue. We are working with our CDN provider, Akamai, to troubleshoot the issue.
Akamai has requested that users with issues please visit the following link to help them collect data

I have sent them the user complaints from facebook, twitter, and the forums to show the urgency of the situation, but they unfortunately can't do much with descriptions - they need hard data. I have locked the duplicate threads with complaints because my instructions were getting buried.
So please go to the link if you are experiencing difficulties!

None of the links seem to be functioning, all I see when following and trying to get information is the blurb about whitelisting. I do make some connections in general but cannot get particular information eg. comments or guides.

I can't see your post Perculia so I don't know what your instructions are, sorry. I can only read the title and some comments.
My account info has gone from the top and all articles, guides etc are the same, i.e. within the piece nothing is viewable.
This started yesterday for me, empty transmog guides, I was hoping it was a weekend glitch.
I'm running Windows 10 and it has updated itself recently (I hate that with a passion) and have tried your site through the usual bookmark and a google search.
I can't survive without you, this is worse than when wow is down!

I don't know if this has already been pointed out; I was having the problem using IE and switched over to Firefox and the issue cleared. (I can now see stuff and log in and stuff) <== Highly technical detailed information.
I just checked and Chrome also appears to be working ok. IE is still not showing everything.

I thought the absence of content except for the ads for whitelisting were part of the whitelist campaign. It's not?
Couldn't see the login box, maps, guides, ads (no adblocker) or even the other posts to this thread. Using Google I found a link to an old thread on Wowhead about whitelisting. You need a definition cause not everyone knows what whitelisting is (me included). And you need to be clearer that you need to whitelist "wowhead.com" and not "
www.wowhead.com"
.
The whitelist plea had the strange effect >>> downloading adblockplus. The official site looked sketchy so I watched some Youtube vids. I downloaded it and it's easy enough to turn on the status bar, select setttings and "manage" (create) a whitelist. So I whitelisted "wowhead.com".
Maybe Wowhead can work with Bliz to sell a wowhead pet or costume.
I see there is a subscription available to Wowhead for $29.99 a year or $4.99 a month for an ad free experience so the year option is the best buy. Still the premium subscription may not work for everyone. I liked a comment in the old thread suggesting adding a basic paid subscription option.

Funny thing is Perculia, I can see NO COMMENTS whatsoever, but on my phone I can see the comments but cannot reply. So basically I can't follow that link you posted elsewhere to gather data on my computer because I can't see the link. And I can't do it on my phone since it just doesn't work on android...

Absolutely not. Everything is free and available to Wowhead users except for a handful of perks and the bag scanner tool. The core site experience is designed to be enjoyed for free by logged-in users, with an effort to have as many non-customized parts of the site available for logged-out users. It's really a bummer that our CDN provider has created an issue that's misleading our users :(

Then thought, "Why the hell would Wowhead be using a Canadian Provider"?
Then I thought, "Hmmm... Google - CDN provider" and get Content Delevery Network.
So... I guess it's time to saddle up the Moose, grab some poutine and a Timmies and go back and hide in my Igloo...

Not sure if this helps, but I have the issue in IE11, but not in Chrome.
However, in Chrome, I get "model incomplete" in Profiler and item model viewers for everything I try (HD, SD, Live/Legion, etc.). Not complaining - I get how complicated it all is - just putting my info out there :)

Make sure "Use hardware acceleration when available" is checked in your Chrome browser settings.

Several days this issue is still not resolved. Miss not being able to use WoWhead. Also feel badly about guiding others to a website that hasn't worked for several days now.
Will the issue be fixed anytime soon?

The website works fine for most visitors. The others you guided here probably see the site just fine.
