How to get Dream Eater

Obtain Intelligence Findings as a drop from Razorgore in BWL (not 100% drop rate, currently only 1 rogue per raid but this may be a bug).

You may need an increased stealth score for the following steps. The Master of Deception talent, Filcher's Cowl, Darkmantle/Whisperwalk Boots, and night elf racial may help with this.

Enter LBRS alone (not in a group) and pickpocket Storehouse Key from Rage Talon Quartermaster.

Use the key to enter the storehouse, open the chest inside, then defeat and speak to the Syndicate Infiltrator for a new quest.

Turn in this quest to Fahrad at Ravenholdt Manor.

Take follow-up quest and go to the Shadow Hold in the Jaedenar refion of western Felwood. Enter the instance alone once again.

Use stealth to avoid detection while progressing through the tunnels and proceed north and then west until you find Caius Blackwood near a glowing blue ritual circle.

Kill Caius (~12k hp) and loot Caius' Dream Eater from his corpse, then exit the instance and return to Fahrad at Ravenholdt Manor.

Turn in the quest (and Caius' Dream Eater) to Fahrad and receive your shiny new BiS dagger. Congratulations!

To those who does not get the next quest "Into the Hold of Shadows" from Fahrad after turning in "The Enemy of My Enemy", you need to do 2 rune quests before he hands you the next quest for the Dream Eater.

You have to do these rune quests, even though you have already bougth the runes from the rune vendor.

To do these rune quests, read the letter from "C" you get in your mailbox at level 30 or 40, which should give you a quest for Rune of Shadowstep in Silverpine Forest.

If you, like me, have discarded this mail, go to Silverpine Forest and enter the little hut to the left of the ramp that leads up to Shadowfang Keep, around loc 47,70.

Click the chest to get the quest Rune of Shadowstep, complete it, go back to the chest to turn it in, go to a capital city to receive a new letter from "C" in your mailbox and go back to the hut and collect the rune from the chest.

To get the quest for the next rune, go back to a capital city where you now have a new letter from "C" in your mailbox (which you do not have to read), go back to the hut and pick up the next quest .

You can go to Undercity and stand in the courtyard, to "activate" the next mail and or quest from "C" instead of going all the way to IF.

When you completed these two runequests, you get a mail from Fahrad instead of "C", which tells you´ve been fooled by "C" and you should go visit Fahrad in Ravenholt Manor.

Now he gives you the quest "Into the Hold of Shadows" which you complete and get your Dream Eater.

Note, the quests for the runes will take allot longer than the quests for Dream Eater itself.
