I had this drop from a Slitherblade Naga, I'm guessing all the nagas off the shore of Desolace drops them.

As mentioned before drops of any Naga in desolace. When you have this item you need to find a Naga priest "Slitherblade Tide Priestess" and Mind control it and use the ability "Meditation on the abyss" on yourself. Need to do it quickly as the duration is short :)

Although you can get Mind Control at level 30, it only works on your level +2, and the Slitherblade Tide Priestess are mostly level 34.

Slitherblade Tide Priestess Slitherblade Tide Priestess can be found in the North West aquatic zone of Desolace.

This macro will target one and put a skull on it if it is within range:

/tar Slitherblade Tide Priestess
/cleartarget
/run SetRaidTarget("target", 8)

Note that if you use an addon like bartender, you need to make sure your pet bar is enabled in order to be able to see the spell to cast on yourself (target yourself by clicking on your addon).

Once you cast ""Meditation on the abyss" on yourself, immediately open your bag and click on the Unsettling Vision - don't wait to stop mind-controlling or the buff will have faded and you'll have to do it again.

1. Head to the Northwestern shoreline of Desolace (West of The Veiled Sea text on map).
2. Defeat level 32-36 naga until one of them drops Unsettling Vision (any naga will do but Warriors seem to be preferred).

3. Find a Slitherblade Tide Priestess (one of them can usually be found on the North end of the large island.)
4. Cast Mind Control (learned at class trainer level 30) on Tide Priestess.
5. While in control of Tide Priestess, click on your character portrait in the upper left to target your character with the tide priestess (tab select does not work).
6. Look just above your action bar and you will see a few actions that can be taken by the priestess, click Meditation on the Abyss.
7. You should see Meditation on the Abyss buff on your character's buff bar (upper right icons). It only lasts 30 seconds.

8. Right click the Mind Control buff on your character's buff bar to disable it and regain control of your character.
9. Open your inventory and right click Unsettling Vision while Meditation on the Abyss is still active.

10. You will receive Renewed Hope.

Use: Focus on the Vision to learn a new spell. Requires a glimpse of corrupt knowledge.
