Careful with her, will take 3 or 4 people to kill her, healer suggested. Spawns a random mini-elemental that do not despawn when she dies. Elemental dismissal charms found at the Circle's will help. Found at the Shard of Myzrael.

Bring a good party because she's hard. I recommended bringing a level 60 because she does major damage. Bring potions and buff before you even kill her. This quest is one of the hardest quests in Arathi Highlands. I recommended 45 and up to kill her.

One more reason to be careful and do it your first or second attempt. After 10 minutes or so, she will despawn and you will have to travel back to Badlands to get the Scroll of Myzrael cause the first one you use disappears when used. Lame.

Was able to solo this as a level 54 Warrior. She's a level 44 elite and spawns some elementals every few seconds. I just popped retaliaton, sweeping strikes, and just kept cleaving. Had to use a health pot and died right as she did.

Soloed as a level 52 Paladin, though I had to use all my skills (Divine Shield, Lay on Hands...) and some potions to buff me. Managed to kill her just before the swarm of elementals got me.

Soloed as lvl 51 protection pally. It was a good, controlled fight, though I had to use Lay on Hands in the end to get rid of all the adds. She seems to be using only melee attacks, whereas her spawns do different types of elemental damage.

Went farely well, healed him around 3k though, just to be safe.

If you are a dumbass like me and tried to solo at too low of a level, you'll need to get another Scroll of Myzrael.

Go back to Theldurin the Lost in Badlands (coords 51,77). Abandon th quest, and get again. He'll give you another scroll.

By the way, a lvl 45 lock is WAY too low of level to solo this quest.

Did anyone else wonder why all of a sudden we're trying to kill this girl? Seems some crazy dwarf said she was dangerous and all of a sudden the goal changed from freeing her to reimprisoning her...

With a caster-only group you're gonna need to be close to lvl 50 to have a chance. With 2 45 shamans and mid-to-low 40s priest and warlocks, she's going to resist practically everything you throw at her. Wait a couple lvls or get some melee members in your party. She's not immune to Horde :)

Focus on the Princess and ignore the elemental minions until she is dead because she will continue to summon more and more of them if you focus on them.

The quest reward is total garbage given the chain you have to go through to get to the end and the difficulty of the end kill, but the XP makes up for it. I was lvl 52 when I turned in the last portion and got 7000xp for the turn-in. And you get thousands more turning in the other steps leading up to this.

This was my party:

lvl 50 Warrior

lvl 44 Priest
lvl 43 Paladin

no one died, although it was really hard. I would suggest to cast the Power Word: Shield before starting the quest.

If you have thought previously, the charms that destroy elementals don't work with the ones that Myzrael summons, so the best advice is carrying some health potions.

1-. Right click on the summoning scroll. Myzrael will appear, and she will atack.
2-. Once she is dead, get the bracers from her corpse. You need them in order to use the stone of the myzrael circle.
3-. Once you have them, right click on the stone, and you will get a nice necklace and 7100 exp points.

I'm not in a guild and my server is relatively new, so I couldn't get anyone to group with for this quest. I decided to get it over with at level 54.

She spawns a lot of elemental adds. I was using an owl that has the Screech ability (AoE attack power debuff), but the elementals seem to attack whatever the princess attacks instead of having independant aggro. When my pet died I activated Aspect of the Cheetah and started kiting.

The elemental adds seem to run at about the same speed as the princess, who is immune to stuff like concussive shot. After the princess died I used Feign Death, which made some elementals run away and some disappear. I looted the shackles and went back to the summoning spot to claim my exp and reward (apparently the elementals despawned).

spend a little time at each of the circles of binding picking up the charms that the elementals drop; you'll be glad you did when you can quickly banish most of myzrael's summoned elementals.

I had just read all the posts here about failed kiting. I thought I had no chance, but if you are a good kiter its really not very hard. She was only lvl 43 or 44 for me. I forgot to time the fight but it was at least 5 minutes. Specced 2/34/3 at the moment, finishing off improved aspect of the hawk.

To start I used the scroll at max range from the shards, then ran when she spawned. She spawns freindly to you, then quickly starts chasing you. I had trueshot aura and aspect of the cheater, as well as track beasts so I could easily avoid the raptors and spiders around the field.

I marked her, and as soon as she was in range I tossed a serpent sting and distracting shot (to make sure my pet didnt get aggro), sent my pet in (with growl off), started running and cast another distracting shot just to make sure.

She spawns an amazing amount of elementals, There can be at least 8-10 at once, quite intimidating. I strafed counter clockwise in a big circle between the shards and the road to hammerfall, re-applying serpent sting every 15 seconds and using rank 1 arcane shot everytime it was up to keep her tapped.

Unfortunately the water elementals kept frostnovaing my pet so I had to keep whistling for her throughout the fight and sending her in. I occaisionally dropped a frost trap when I was headed in a straight line to make the adds drop back a bit.

I had a few close calls with running into the grey beasts in the field but beast tracking helped a lot. At ~25% this 44 warrior rode up and watched as a horde of elementals with a huge giant lady chased me, at ~20% he tried to help me and somehow while the princess still chased me ALL the elementals went straight for him and wtfpwned him. At first I thought this was a good thing, but since he made such a big gap between the adds and the boss I had to make course adjustments.

At around 5% I turned around and started using highest rank arcane shots and mulit-shot. She went down fast but then a spider dazed me while there were still 10+ elementals coming for me, I feigned death, but they went for my pet... so I took off and came back for the shackles.

OK, like so many others I messed up by getting there and getting stuck in the logic that I needed to use the shard to summon her.

You summon her with the scroll in your inventory, (reading it helps figure that out,) then you loot the shackles and can cash the quest in with the shard.

I'm a level 56 undead shadowpriest atm, and I figured I'd try soloing her. If she was a level 50 elite, I shouldn't have too much problems taking her down. She turned out to be a 44 gold-elite, which only means she has a lot of HP and does a bit more damage..

After about 10 seconds, her first elemental spawned (had her on about 80% hp). Then 5-10 sec a new one spawned. And a new one. And a new one, and a new one, and a new one... When I died, I had no possibility of casting spells, there were 10++ elementals constantly hitting at me.

It was 8AM so the server was empty, my friends list was empty, etc, etc.. and the scroll disappeared from inventory.. I've had that scroll for almost 1 month now, so I really don't remember where and how I got it.. Can someone please tell me that, I hate having unfinished quests (and I hate abandoning them even more)...

As for if you want to do this quest:
Either you need to be someone with aoe and healing (+ highlevel, preferably my level or higher).. I have high dps (240) and I can heal myself, but I don't have any aoe spells, so I can't do this alone. My suggestion is a party of 3 if you're level 50s (warrior, priest, mage). If you're not that high level, go for more party members (aoe for the win, so add 1 more mage and 1 healer (random)..

Just as a side note: Myzrael summons lv 43 elementals to help her (no limit to # of spawns out apparently), so unless you are too high to do this quest in the first place, go find a party.

What kind of exiles are Myzrael's helpers? Maybe you can insta-kill them with the charms the other exiles at the various stone circles drop.

I did the quest with a lvl 60 Warlock, and myself (lvl 43 paladin).
Healed the lock 1 time,
Healed myself 2 times,
casted lay on hands on myself,
drank 1 suprior healing potion.

AND DANG DEAD WAS SHE!

I solo'ed this as an lv 54 warlock , let my felgaurd tank here and the mobs , when she died I ran away , waited for adds 2 remove and grab the shackles.

well, went to do this quest at lvl 49 with a lvl 49 pet and all i can say is i wish i had her HP...whacked her till both my pet and myself died (about 30sec) did some nice 500crits and only took her down about 1/2 a centimeter...definitely an endurance mob :/

Subject says it all. The Item is nothing even close to the level elite you have to take down and the amount of time you spend on the entire series of this quest. The only reason to do this quest is to travel to other locations and to get XP while grinding and finishing quests anyways.

So in summary:
Good XP overall.
Forces you to get Badlands flight path (If Horde)
Bad End Reward.

Blizz has cleverly provided an answer to this quest. Warriors higher than 40 will remember the Cyclonian quest (to get the Whirlwind weapon). They had to kill the three types of circle elementals to get Charms to turn in. These charms have the power to dismiss an elemental. Water charms dismiss fire elem, and so forth. So, before you summon the Princess to smite her butt, take an hour and kill lots of elementals of each type, gather charms (or pick em up at auction), hand them to a buddy or two. Then summon Mizrael and have your pals dismiss the adds with a mouseclick!

I second some of the earlier posts concerning her level.

Recently, I happened to see somebody else fight her, and right after it I fought her a couple of times in a row (guildies arriving late, etc.), and Myzrael was always level 44 elite.

Mob battle data from one other website appear to confirm this as well. Overwhelming majority of battles recorded there list her as level 44+.

I do realize that the link to Myrael's profile above has a picture showing her as level 50 elite, but it's likely that Blizz decided to change the mob's level afterwards.

She's definitely level 44 elite, not 50.
You start attacking her and when her health is about a half she summons elementals to defend herself.
We did it with a full group.
Concentrate on her and kill her. When she dies loot immediately the shackles. Once you get them it doesn't matter if you die.

Ok, the quest says that you have to defeat her to get the Shackel right. OKOK, I go up to the Shard that u first go to in the quest, and it says i need the shackel to summon her, so WTF! Someone help me out here where do i get the damn shackels.

Did this quest as a lvl 40 mage, just finished all the prequest to this and found out i'm going to have to FIGHT A 50 ELITE! WHAT! Ok well this is what happen i got back to AH and luck would have it a raid of 60s just got out of battle. I asked one of them if they can help me out and they invite me into the raid. It was about 10 or more lvl 60s came over i left the raid summoned her, hit her once and Blink i was gone. The 60s did the rest. Side note she was only a lvl 44 elite for me. Must be based on ur lvl to what lvl she is.

BTW, she summons PRISMATIC elementals and last time i check there is not a GD charm in the game that will banish them for f*cks sake.

I just wanted to say that my party, that consisted of a lvl 36 Paladin, a lvl 34 Rogue, a lvl 60 Warrior and myself (lvl 36 druid), did manage to complete this three times in a row. One time for each of the lowest level members. The three of us did die each time before all helpers were killed off, but we managed none the less.

pretty funny. finally did this quest at 54. read about it here and and decided to ask if anyone in arathi wanted to come along, got a group of low 40's that wanted to get it out of the way too. summoned VW, let it tank myzrael while i dotted and shadowbolted her and rest of group took adds. she went down in a matter of seconds. meanwhile, lots of elememtals had spawned and were overrunning the rest of the group, so i sacced VW for the shield and activated hellfire. adds died, quest over, probably could have done this alone ages ago...

uh this is it? before wasting my time running through this quest, i looked it up, and went through about a dozen leads to... leads to.. leads to pages, i was thinking that after all this run around and killing very high lvl stuff, that it would have some kind of high reward, but this is it? besides the exp, there is no point going through all the trouble it wants you to go through, not even any money rewards, wtf? they should put this on easier quest, and put in something real to go here, or just put in high money reward like 5g..... i can just imagine all players that got their hopes way up doing this quest, getting to end and yelling W T F, and ended up selling crappy necklace to vendor for maybe 10s. this is why i look quests up~_~

We completed this quest with a level 43 warrior, level 43 resto druid, level 42 hunter and level 41 mage. Warrior tanked, druid healed and the other two did a lot of damage. It was a tough fight but we did manage it (we didn't have any crests). We were lucky that she only spawned as a 44 elite though - she went down pretty quickly, it was the adds that nearly finished us off,

44lite yes but with summons tons of 40ish minions. I mean tons. I can usually solo lites around my lvl but figure shes named and summons at least 3-4 minions and your pet goes down pretty fast =P. Definitely get some high lvl help or a good complete group if your upper 40's.

I love good long quest lines. And I agree with anyone who says the quests are not there for rewards but for playing pleasure. And good questlines are really important.

Yeh she summons all of them, so just when you thought thoes charms were usless time to go grab some more, and their is a 8-10 sec cool down on them but if your whole group has them shouldn't be too bad.

Thought i could take here solo as a 44 lock had her to 3/4 hp used a few charms then they just flooded in, boy did i get smashed by the summond elementals

Blizzard has done a great job with this line and has provided a clue that warriors know about. At about level 30, warriors get a quest for a weapon called Cyclonian which has them gather, among alot of other things, Charms from the 3 circles elementals. These charms banish one type of elemental each: cresting charm banishes a fire elem and so forth. Now, so much later you get to this different quest line to kill Mizrael. Before you summon her, spend an hour mowing down the elems and gather a bunch of charms. Give some to your friends, they're tradable. (You can even find then at AH). Then summon Princess, whack away, and have a friend or two dismiss the adds with a mouse click! Good Luck

don't try to do her in a raidgroup. You won't be able to loot her.

If you are doing this quest, this is all you really need to know...

1) the shards of myzrael are near the Circle of EAST binding
2) if you whole group gets wiped out, if you all run back as quick as possible, she will be still there with no adds...although she will be at full health again... She will dissapear quickly so attack quickly
3) if she does dissapear, abandon the quest and go find theldurin the lost for the quest again, and he will give you another scroll... he is in the badlands at the bottom middle of the map
4) if you dont have a group of at least 5 lvl 45's or equivelant, dont even attempt it... you are just begging her to kill you painfully... a few higher level people go well, as well as AoE spells.
5) The adds don't die when Myzrael dies... so dont let the adds build up while you attack myzrael
6) get the shackles from her, and the the shard from the "Shards of Myzrael" stone and you have completed the quest

Good luck to you, this is not an easy quest but it it a lot of fun (and i also think archimaedies - or however you spell that name - is an awesome boss to kill aswell.... lots of fun...(the end boss of uldaman)

I just soloed this at lvl 56 hunter with my pet and a special pet (the cinder elemental from cinder bracers I got in midsummer fire festival -- but I am sure other special pets like yetis and such would do as well). The princess went down pretty fast and the pets off tanked the adds. I managed to kill the princess right after my pets were wiped out, and FD'd but still died. Ran back from graveyard, rezzed, looted the shackles and voila! CLicked the shard and it was done.

I tried to solo her tonight as a 53 Fury Warrior. No dice. I didn't have an issue with her, but the 10 elemental adds she spawned eventually took me out. I feared them away, war stomp, pots, and still died. This is an absurd boss, so bring a friend or two. She has a little over 11k health and is a gold elite.

Not even close. As a 60 Frost Mage, she was immune to Frost Nova and anything I could throw to kite her. And then the elementals....

I had no issues soloing with my 60 Hunter.

Soloable as a 49 hunter. After summoning her, attain max ranged distance. When she aggroes, throw everything you got at her. Got her below 60% before she summoned her elementals. Didn't really have to kite at all, only when the adds got on me. Kited a lil before I used mend pet and then feign death. Only used feign death once and used 1 healing potion. Not as hard as I thought it would be from reading these comments. 10,200 XP @ lvl 49 and a crappy necklace. Happy hunting!

For anyone doing this in WotLK Classic (2022), she is currently very easily soloable.

I solo'ed her as a 48lvl paladin. She is lvl 44, has 7.1k health, and spawns adds with 69 hp, so don't be scared to try it, it's worth the 10k xp. I didn't even have to use potions.

Soloed as a lvl 40 hunter. Used 1 big iron bomb but probably didn't need it. Adds were one shotted and killed with explosive trap. Pet stayed on Princess, and I mostly just kept serpent sting and hunter's mark on her. Easy kill.

Managed to solo her as ret paladin on level 56 (was still close tho, I had to use bubble, LoH and healthpot).
If you're leveling alone, just skip this quest chain. The rewards aren't worth it. I couldn't kill her earlier because everybody else also seems to skip it.

In SoD P2 she's really not that bad for a party of 40s. Probably want a healer but a tank is really optional. Hunter frost trap right on her will help keep the elementals that spawn under control. Soloable probably by a hunter that can kite, but be careful of getting dazed by the other trash around. Consider kiting to Hammerfall for the guards to finish off.

Soloed as a hunter in P2 SoD. Took me 3 tries, but I finally got Myzrael down. The guards at Refuge Point will not aggro onto her, so its all on you. Also, the elementals do not despawn or leash, so you gotta deal with them even after she dies. I just let them kill me after looting her.

Went MM spec and the most important runes are Chimera and Trap Launcher. Also used HOTL and Expose Weakness.

For the route, I pulled her down through Dabyrie's Farm, through Refuge Point and then down the road towards Stormgarde, got lucky there was no Forsaken Courier on the way.

I stayed in Cheetah at max range, spammed Chimera and Arcane to knock down her health. The elementals she spawns will start getting ahead of her, so I'd toss a Frost Trap to slow them down. The fire elementals have a fire bolt that can daze you in cheetah, so make sure you are at max range to try and avoid it. I also used a fire protection potion, but I don't think its necessary. She died right in front of the Stormgarde road.

If you want the challenge, go for it. Note that if you die you have to abandon the quest then fly to the quest giver in Badlands to get a new scroll. Sure was fun and a nice challenge!

Go to the Shards of Myzrael, summon her and defeat her.

Gather her Eldritch Shackles and bind them to the Shards of Myzrael.

You must defeat Myzrael before she grows in strength. If you do not, then once she has gathered enough power she will challenge her captors! There are some who think they can control her, but if she can be controlled then why did the giants chain her in the first place??

Crazy logic, eh?

To defeat her, summon her at the Shards of Myzrael where you first spoke with her. Defeat her and gather her Eldritch Shackles, then bind them to the Shards of Myzrael.

Do that, and she will again be trapped.
