You can find Zaeldarr in a cemetary in Ravencroft. Once you enter the mausoleum, there will be a few mobs on the way down, which are easy to dispatch. Zaeldarr will be there with two other mobs. With a bit of crowd control, it shouldn't be too difficult to solo.

I got 150 Argent Dawn reputation from this quest at 60, don't know if this a recent change or not, but also picked up a little over three gold for doing the quest. Really really easy to do at 60 and I was strapped for gold so this helped a little bit.

You can find Zaeldarr the Outcast at the bottom of the tomb at the location listed. He is a LARGE muscular troll, can't miss him. He has 3 other level 55 skinny trolls with him

Unfortunately pulled all 3 of his associates at once. Had to sacrifice voidwalker, create another, finished them off then went for the big guy. He was pretty easy.

Fyi..
The creatures on thestairs respawn fairly quickly so you will have to fight your way out and when you get to the top of the stairs, just outside, I had another 3 aggro on me. Had to sacrifice and run like hell:)

Killed the trolls outside then down the stairs. Then went after boss, took his head aesy, but one of his trolls should be marked ELITE. He does and takes alot of damage, he killed my pet and I had to take a potion before killing him. But quest was easy soloed it in 5-7 min.

I soloed this quest as a lvl 57 rogue. I just pulled the guards with gun, and killed him. Easy ;)

He is located at 27,86. :)

Solo'd as a 59 Mage, popped on a mana shield and AoE'd them.

easy quest, bear form - Charge zealdarr - all guards on u get rage to 90-100 then frenzied regen, by this time he should be dead, now focus on guards.. when low on health, NS + Healing Touch = 4 lvl55-56 dead

= Druid imba?

Killed him, and his guard. They took 26% of my health. 57 warrior. I killed around 15 mobs in this quest, and got a epic dropp!

VW hold agro on 2 while you take 1. then take another off the VW after you kill the one. Then heal up ur VW and u probly will get agro healing him then kill that one. And Zaeldarr is no problem.

location listed is correct, i solod this on my 54 rogue without anyproblems at all. i snuck into the right corner, body pulled one. crossbowed from same corner to the other one in front, this pulled both mobs and left the boss in place, blade flurry was used on them, then i healed and wtfpwned boss, very easy quest

Well Duh, it's a fregging level 55 quests.

This was defintely easy for me... I aimed shot one of the guards to pull the first two, had pet tank both of'em...then pulled the other guard veryt easily...and all that was remaining was Zaeldarr...Wasted all my cooldowns on him, which i really didn't need to.

soloed it with a 57 rogue... snuck in killed him... looted... 2 trolls came after me i vanished and i was done.

Soloed as a 53 paladin. Pull the guards, they are all 53-54. You shoulnt aggro boss if you are careful. Simple as that. Undeads are sinch, simply use consecration, exo. , holy wrath. bubble and heal. i dont know what people are talking about having trouble doing at 60. Easy quest.

i soloed him at lvl 56 fire spec mage :D its realy easy to do
first i killed the 3 ads around him without getting agro from zaeldarr himself and then i killed zaeldarr, realy simple to do

solo'd him at 55

pulled all 3 guys, put a stoneclaw down, killed first guy. Then put a stoneskin and killed the rest. boss very easy, not even elite

The Caretaker is just a little south of the settlement. I had trouble finding him too because my mods dont work with the new patch so couldn't use the coords given. But you can see the cart from the chapel if you look south.

Solo'ed as a 54 Warlock using VW. If you time it right you can pull the f irst one the left alone, then the next 2, the Zaeldarr alone. fairly easy that way.

I now read abot the scroll. going back in to get it. Damn!

I went to go do this quest today since I was lacking in other things to do and Zaeldarr seemed to be bugged for me. When I had my Undead tracking on, I could clearly see him underground, but the moment I got to the fence around the Undercroft, he would dissapear. On the off chance that someone had just killed him, I camped the area for close to 90 minutes and everything in the area respawned multiple times except for Zaeldarr. Repeated experiments showed that getting close to Undercroft had him dissapear on me.

Solo'd at 53. Frost mage with water elemental on boss. i ice blockd. then frost novad the mob. cone of cold. 2 frost bolts and he died. i grabbed the head and ran out....took about 3 minutes.

well its crap, coz no matter how many times i try and how many mobs i disbale he refuses to die. Most prob my skill in game but im only 53, i can take out 2 solo. But that stun that they do, cripples me lol. aww well supose ill do it later lvl's or not at all.

If you are at least level 54, you should also pick up another quest that starts in the underground tomb where Zaeldarr is. Click on the scroll and accept the quest to kill Infiltrator Hameya in Zul'Mashar (NNE portion of map; east of the NE Ranger Lodge). Reward is for both a cool sword and an okay cape.

Got my Shammy in a sweet spot at the moment. Took a 54 elite cliff walker yesterday, and can do 59's currently.

At level 56, solo, pulled one at a time to get into the crypt. Np.

Took two together, np.

Then just 2 more, one at a time, then the prize.

Zaeldarr went down like a sack of potatoes. Reminded me of that poor old croc Deadmire in Dustwallow Marsh many levels ago.

Think I lost 10% health the whole way, but popped some mana pots - nothing new there - always prefer faster killing.o

For what it's worth, never saw any scroll with an extra quest - saw the chest, but nothing in that.

Location confirmed. Be careful though. Did this at level 56 (Warrior, Fury Specc'd) I couldnt get a safe pull going.... i kept grabbing all three of the adds in the room. First time i did it i took one down (without popping any cooldowns)and died. then i safely took the other two after i rezzd. Z drops hard. Just be careful when you pull.

just did 1 by 1 till bottom of tomb then pulled all minus the Zael guy, did Retaliation and owned all 3 bandaged up then took out Zael easy.

Just soloed him yesterday as a 57 hunter. As I approached him, he was surrounded by three mobs. I pulled one, freezed his friend and killed them both outside the tomb. Then I layed another freeze trap, sent my pet to attack Zae and let his last friend run into the trap. He's easy.

There are six total trolls in the crypt. One on each landing coming down the stairs, that can be pulled seperate. Four in the main room in the crypt. The first two can be pulled then the big guy and another mob. The stun is a pain. DO NOT TAKE YOUR TIME DOING THIS. The mobs respawn pretty fast. Note: Had problem with the caretaker that this quest goes to not being there when I went to turn in. Came back next day and he was there.

Soloed this sucker at 56 (I'ma hunter) it was pretty easy. There are three spawns with him, 2 53 and 1 54. pulled the 53s killem, then took the boss and the 54. My pet and I both made it out alive. Lucky hunting.

I soloed this at 57 (hunter) I came in just after another group so I took each mob out as it spawned. The loc for those that don’t use numbers is the first ruin to the south as you enter EPL form WPL hope this helps.

All the trolls are undead, so succeplable to Shackle Undead. Makes this quest a cakewalk for any priest worth their salt.

This guy is underground at The Undercroft. Entrance is at (27,84). Overground area is surrounded by level 53 to 55 undead. Unless someone has already cleared it you'll probably find 3 mobs on the stairs down and another 3 waiting for you down at the bottom with Zaeldarr. You can take out the 3 on the stairs one at a time. When you get to the bottom you should then be able to pull the two nearest mobs as a pair, leaving Zaeldarr and the one standing in front of him. Zaeldarr is lvl 55, the others will be random 53-55s. I guess all of this will depend on your level and pull range. I was 60 when I did it so pull range wasn't a problem.

Not a difficult fight as long as you manage to pull the two at the front before you aggro Zaeldarr and his minder, but be prepared to kill two lvl 55s at the same time. After killing Zaeldarr and looting his head, don't forget to click on the scroll lying on the floor, this gives you the quest Hameya's Plea. You'll need to go to the North East (71,16) for the key.

Can you believe that, after all the trouble we have in the plaguelands... we have to worry about thieves too? And not just normal thieves, troll thieves.

And not just normal troll thieves. Dead troll thieves!

They're led by this big, dead troll named Zaeldarr the Outcast, and they come here at night and steal bodies from the pit below, then take them back to their evil, dead troll hideout--the Undercroft to the west.

Go there and take out Zaeldarr, <name>. I'm sick to death of his mischief!
