Travel to the Temple of Atal'Hakkar (sunken temple), Stonard, Eastern Kingdoms.

Look for the instance entrance. Inside - go straight forward an take the right path. You should be able to sneak past the mobs if you run against the wall.

Then take a sharp turn right and head down the stairs. In the circular pathway you will be able to find deep lurkers and murk worms...

It's perhaps wise to bring some friends - the mobs work together...

3050xp at lvl59. No other rewards as far as I could tell. Follow up quest gives 3150xp and 1g60s.

If you drop this quest, pick it back up from Liz at Ratchet, not Larion in Un'goro.

Go to the Sunken Temple in Swamp of Sorrows. You actually have to GO INSIDE THE INSTANCE. To clarify.

Once you are actually inside the instance, head down the path infront of you that leads to the right, the wall with the masks on it. Follow that and you will come to a room with two sets of stairs: one going up, one going down. Watch out for the pat here. It's two trolls and two imps. If you stay kinda angled in the room before the stairs to just where you can see the stairs, you want to wait for those guys to go upstairs at least, that's what I did. I imagine it is a long pat cause once they go up those stairs, we weren't bothered by them fora while.

When they have passed, go down. You should be in The Hall of Serpents...or Snakes...same thing, right? The stuff drops off of the giant worms and elemental thingies within this hall. But, YOU NEED TO KILL AS MANY MAGGOTS AS YOU CAN since they will all aggro when you aim for the worms of elemental thingies. They also aggro when you kill one of thier own. Least...that's what happened to us.

Since you act ually have to go into the instance, I recommend bringing a healer with you. A full party might be best...it's up to you.

I also have feral gear on for when I solo.

Basically, I enter the instance, take the spiral stairs on my right going down. Stealth in. Now the trick is DO NOT TRY TO FIGHT THE OOZES! They are extremely hard when near death as they spawn oozelings which will pretty much make you unable to cast healing spells except the instants. The pats are random spawns. They can be either an ooze, murk worms or the lurkers. Kill murks and lurkers only, but not the ones with the grubs. I'd usually Ravage opening, get 5 combo points then Rip. Cast a Regrowth and Rejuvenation and then Bear form, and finish it off.

I fight the pat on the spiral steps, skip the next group of mobs with the grubs. Kill the pat in the hallway, and the other one that's alone after the pat. 3 Elites to kill. After you kill the three, go back upstairs and reset the instance, repeat. Took me 3 resets.

When you get into the instance, head down the steps on the right. There is a L47/48/49 elite Murk Worm there patrolling.

Kill him, then wait at the bottom (don't pull the slimes) and sometimes another one patrols either a murk worm or a lurker - that's 2 solo pulls and each can drop the haze. Then run out and reset.

This doesn't guarantee you wil complete as you can't reset infinite times but if you get lucky on drops it's a safe easy way.

I did this on my L60 holy spec priest in average blues/greens.

Quest is worthless, don't bother unless you're anal about completing everything.

You have to enter the instance to kill the Oozes, Murk Lukers or Worms to get the drop. The oozes outside the instance will not drop the items you are looking for.

You get 4100 xp for this quest.

You're in luck, <name>! I've been working on some of my own experiments while Marvon's been gone, and one of them is a short range bug zapper. With just a few adjustments, it should be great for ridding yourself of those Bloodpetal pests.

I can let you have one of my zapper prototypes, but you'll still need to collect the fuel. You can get the necessary Atal'ai haze that the zapper needs in the temple of Atal'Hakkar. The deep lurkers, murk worms, or oozes are the ones you'll need to get it from.
