never try to perform this jump mounted...
and dont try to jump to the north. you'll prolly land near some dragonkin lvl 60 or so... they killed my shammy lvl 54 with 2 hits O.o

I suggest not doing this unless you are a mage or priest or have something to slow your fal cause dying isn't fun. Sure it's cool to go up there but death isnt.

How To:
1) bring 20s
2) find Marli Wishrunner 45,16 as your running up the the road going north she is on the left, midlle of the mountain and like two feet off the road
3) get parachute from guy at top of mountain, he is near the middle right next to the lake on top cost is 20s
4) pick your direction i chose south becouse there is a lake to the south to fall into
4a) its a becouse i just rember you should do this, open your bag and put the parachute on your bar
5) read the whole next part till the end then continue
6) JUMP OFF (i did this in travel form and then shapshifted out)
7) count to 5, not 1 missisppi 2, but 1 2 3 4 5, normal speed like
8) click the parachute, you could wait longger in fact i opened mine to fast couse i dropped like three feet to the water but if i was over land at the time i would not have died the thing is wait till you think your close to the ground then hit it it stops you instantly

pallies could simply use divine protection/blessing of protection; preferably the latter if they have it already, coz it lasts 2 sec longer, just in case.

btw, while doing this, if you lag - tough luck, you'll probably land with your buff gone and you'll die all the same.

happened couple o' times when i tried jumping off a zep, this wouldnt be an exception.

If you're a skydiver or BASE jumper -- go for it!

Definately worth the price just to give it a shot.

Go see Marli Wishrunner:

There is an npc near the road at the base of the western colossal (tloc 45, 16) who can teleport you to the top of the eastern one.

The npc at the top of the eastern colossal sells a parachute for 20sp to make your way down. The slowfall effect last for 10 seconds. The best jump spot is from the waterfall on the south side, so that you can make a splash landing in the lake without killing yourself when the parachute dies.

npc at the top is Kalin Windflight.

This is fun. You can get some AWESOME screenshots from the top. You get teleported to the top of the east tower. There is a small pool up there and a vendor who sells parachutes for 20s each.

A suggestion, open the parachute closer to the ground rather than farther, because 10 seconds isn't that far when you're gliding, (I went *SQUISH* the first time).

An alternative to the parachutes is the wonderful Noggenfogger Elixir. I haven't tried it with Noggenfogger yet, but you may be able to get all the way down if you put the effect on at the top.

This freakin' kicks-ass. I am a gnomish cliff diver from way back to the cliffs of westfall. I bought the parachute for an emergency but did not use it, summoned mount and ran toward waterfall jumping while still mounted on way down dismount and landed in the lower pool of waterfall taking no damage. I will definatley be doing this everytime Im in feralas.... Also great view, you are above many of the huge trees that are here.

I advise lower-levels to not jump off the NE corner - there's 60-62 elite mobs roaming around up there.

I went to the left side of the waterfall, slipped into the stream, and I fell safely to the pool below where I hopped down to the forest floor into another pool. No need for fancy gnomish or goblin gadgets or magic.

The most important thing here, that no one seems to mention, is that IF YOU DO IT, JUMP DOWN, AND DIE, there is no friggin way to get back to your corpse!

Don't open your parachute too early - it has only 10 second duration. If you use it too early - you'll fall from high and die.

You know how a 4 second counterspell/stun seems to last an eternity? A 10 second slow fall is really, really quick.
