This quest is also available to Horde, though the questgiver is a bit out of the way. (And, of course, it doesn't grant the Darnassus rep.)

Actually, I was able to confirm yesterday that Horde characters can indeed obtain the quest from Dawnwatcher Shaedlass in Darnassus. She is a neutral faction in the middle of the city. You just have to either raid the city to get there, or just corpse hop all the way to her. Once there, rez and talk and accept the quest before the guards kill you again.

It's possible to get to the quest givers for this and Twilight Falls at level 25 if you're patient and willing to die a few times. I recommend swimming to Teldrassil along the path of the boat. When you get exhausted and die you can ride the boat back to your corpse and start swimming fresh from there. Even if you sprint through Rutharen Village the guards will catch you once or twice and you'll have to ride the boat back as a ghost again. Once you're in Darnassus jump in the water and swim underwater to the craftsman's terrace. Try to die the next time next to the alchemy shop. When you rez at the Argent Dawn folks you should be able to talk to them and hearthstone out without any more hassling from the guards.

Note that I wasn't able to get the Twilight Falls quest at level 32 with 4.067 Argent Dawn faction. In a way I was relieved that I wouldn't have to come back to turn it in. I was able to get Search for Thaelrid but only got 950 exp and no reputation. There's a bit of confusion where Thaelrid tries and fails to give you the alliance version of Blackfathom Villainy when you finish Search for Thaelrid but you can talk to him again and get the horde version.

I've also abandonned the quest (by mistake) and now can't get it back.

So I just went into the Blackfathom Depth because I thought Thaelrid might still give me a quest once I've found him. But he didn't. :(

Does anyone have an idea how I can get this quest now? Is this a bug? I want the reward. :(

My understanding is you skip the first part of the quest and get the second part directly from the gun in the instance. See http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/quest.html?wquest=1200

There are two quests available in Darnassus at the Craftsmans area. This one and Twilight Falls. The location of the two NPCs is 55.24 They are on the second floor of the Alchemy tree.

Confirmed; it is possible for a patient orc to get the quest in Darnassus.

This quest is also found in Astranaar. I had a 28 drud and didn't get it from the 2 places your talking about. I think it's nere Raeine with the chain of Raeine's Cleansing quests.

I think it's true that you skip first quest cuz we went over to Thaelrid yesterday and he had a quest it was a wand and sometin else.

Where the giant turtles are swim under water thru a cave and he is there, Be careful thier is another cave fulll of death.

- neither Shaedless gives the quest to find him, nor Agent Thaelrid got any quests for me. All I get out of him is "help arrives at last..."

I am lvl 23 warlock and I was able to corpse hop my way to Darnassus and get the quest from Dawnwatcher Shaedlass at 54,24...the upper floor of the Alchemist place. It took me 1.5 hours to get here...it wasn't hard....just time consuming.

I found guard Shaedlass, but he won't give me the quest.. no mark over his head or anything and I can't click him to get a quest.

IF there a quest you need to do before this. i click on the guy and nothing. I clicked on the other guy close and got a different quest did it and went back to both and still can't click on him. Can anyone help me with this?

Once you get to the large pool with Ghamoo-ra in the middle
Ghamoo-ra should be in a dead end in one of the tunnels to the east.

Small underwater cave just SW from wall on Ghamoo-ra isle.

I found him, he is inside the instance back in a crevice dead end spot where you would not likely go, he is laying on the ground sleeping.

Horde can get this quest, but it requires a trip to Darnassus, so be prepared to die several times to the guards. However, doing this quest earns you 150 Argent Dawn rep + 2400 XP.

This is marked incorrectly as Alliance only quest and is still available to the Horde as of WOW Classic 1.13.2.

Building in Craftsman's Terrace nearest the water & Battle Masters. Lower floor of building has alchemy NPC's. The Argent Dawn guys are on the upper floor. Dawnwatcher Shaedlass & Argent Guard Manados.

You complete the quest inside the dungeon Blackfathom Deeps.

After you kill the first boss, Ghamoo-ra you head through the underwater passage South-West from the turtle lake.

He's basically to the right side of where you normally continue heading towards when you leave the turtle lake.

Many rumors circulate these days about the union of the Twilight's Hammer and the naga in Blackfathom Deeps on the coasts of Ashenvale.

My role here with the Argent Dawn is to collect as much information as I can, so we know when and where help is needed.

It has been weeks now since I sent a scout to check on the activity at Blackfathom Deeps. Argent Guard Thaelrid has not yet reported back.

My other scouts are preoccupied with pressing matters.

Seek out and aid Thaelrid for me, <name>.
