He does Have a Gold Dragon around him, not silver or any other color.

all the 3 times i got him, he drops the friken bow, sux to be me. :-D

Per the Atlas...

Fenros Uncommon spawn, lvl 32.

Lvl 32, uncommon spawn, -5 to 8 Hours.

There is no specific time for this spawn. I've spotted him at 12:05, 4:38, 9:16, etc.

You just have to go and camp, or make a run through every time you are in the area.

He shows up at any time, and spawns at any of the three camps. He's spawned at the northern camp on top of me, at the camp closest to Darkshire, and has appeared at the tent.

I've gotten his bow and his helm. A few times ;)

Found him by chance actually, I accidentally destroyed the book for the old book quest and came back from SW to farm a few Nightbane Shadow Weavers to get it back. He walked past, I saw he was a 32 rare and killed him easily with my L32 NE Hunter.

He dropped the Helm for me :D

I found him at 61,32 at 5.09am Server time (or 9.09pm my time lol)

I found and killed him 4 times in the last week.
I was trying to get the helm and finally did, the other times he dropped the bow. The best time I found to get him was around 6 am server time. He usually is in the main camp but once I caught him walking back from the camp to the north and the time he dropped the helm he was walking back from the camp from the south. use /target fenros

I'm not sure about spawn time but I'm almost positive that he spawns at 6 in the morning every day...hope that helps people

I am a Level 30 Hunter and I found him twice, both at around 5:00 p.m. server time. (Feathermoon.) I killed him both times, and he dropped the damn bow twice. I really wanted that helm. Anyway, I shall coninue my hunt!

wow, I didn't think it was true, but the whole spawning thing at 6:00 is confirmed... I woke up at 6:50, logged on, flew down there, and actually SAW him respawn, so yeah... its a pain to get, but its possible.

I saw him and were owning him with my 26 shaman, but then dont you think it came a damn respawn? were could almost use my gift of naru 3 times and then the other guys killed me:(

Killed this mob yesterday. was standing alone near a tent, with other mobs around the tent. managed to pull him solo and he droped the helm. Which sold for 14g on the AH....imo, not really worth that much..

I pulled an all nighter waiting for this guy to spawn, good co-ords 61,32, so almost 200 stacks of medium and heavy leather later & and some 7 hours he finally spawned. First time i've gone out of my way to get a drop i must say and thankfully Fenros dropped the Helm i was looking for. Thanks guys for all you comments they helped me sit it out :-)

Just wanted to let you know my 6 yr old grandson got him today around 5pm eastern time. a 27 hunter and cat got him on the 2nd try, it was a hard fight and the hunter was down to 42 health at the end. Was well worth it he dropped a and a potion and some food. Whoot, a great bow. better than the blue one he was using. I have been playin 2 yrs and never seen him before, good luck to you all.

Ran into to him last night while mining some iron in Duskwood. Bet the fur off of him with my lvl 31 Pally. He dropped the bow, I gave it to a lvl 25 hunter that was in the same area skinninig.

I ran into him, he was standing near a camp of worgs I needed to kill, I was lvl 28 hunter back then... I started killing him because he didn't walk away, to my surprise he dropped this awesome helmet, I'm definetely gonna kill him again to get some helmets and bows for guildies and friends... anyway, a good hunter (I am marksmanship) can easily take him on 29...

Decided, on a whim, to run through Brightwood with my hunter on the way to town, looking for this one. First time I've ever bothered, and to my immense surprise, found him at the southmost camps. Promptly relocated him to a different level of existence, and acquired the helm. My hunter's going to be gloating about this one for a while.

Only spell I saw him use was flamestrike, but I was concentrating more on my ability timers than what he was doing; at 35, I wasn't exactly worried.

I've killed him twice, he's not part of a quest, though I can't confirm if it was night time. I got the Ravenwood Bow once, and the Tribal Worg Helm another time :)

I found him in the main camp, pressed up against the mountain, right in the middle of Brightwood Grove. Soloed as a level 29 Rogue. Best bet, keep a Healing Potion at the ready. Abilities to stun and give yourself time to recouperate are good too. Above all else, stop his spells, they're annoying as hell...

I killed this guy with my 27 Night Elf Priest.
I'm heal spec, so it was a looooong battle.
He dropped the Bow, though, so I'm happy!

Saw this guy running around (lvl 32 elite), decided to kill him. About 18 minutes, 3 healing potions, 2 bubbles, and a lay on hands later, a nearby caster respawned and ganked me. I got him to 12%. Bottom line: it is not possible to get this guy down in a timely manner as a lvl 24 holy pally. If you are considering trying, you should level up first.

I found him around 08:30 (WoW time), and didn't have any quests for him. He was on my mineral circuit that I do pretty often, and it's the first time I've seen him. Must just be a rare spawn?

His Tribal Worg Helm makes my Dwarven Hunter look very Hells Angels. :D

That is not true, he is just a very rare spawn. It is rumored that he spawns only at night, but this is not confirmed. Fenros isn't part of any quest, just a special mob, thats all.

At 12:20 AM 5/26/05 on the Mannaroth server, I beat Fenros as a lvl 28 Rogue all by myself. I had to use 1 healing potion (280-360hp), but I beat him and got the Ravenwood Bow.

I killed him last night and got the Worg Helm. I had no idea what it was worth and had a ton of auctions to set up so I started it with 75s buyout just to get it over with. No wonder it went so fast. I had no idea what it was worth.

I have spent 2 days looking for him. Only thing I can figure is that he is part of a quest and you need to have that quest in order to find him.

This guy makes his rounds between the dogboy camps in Brightwood grove and spawns at a pretty decent clip, he's reasonably easy to dispatch because most of the time I've encountered him he's alone. He's dropped the bow twice and the tribal worg helm.

Spent ages looking for him when I was level 27, never found him, and then this afternoon I saw him, he dropped the Tribal Worg Helm :D

As a level 29 Rogue the fight was over in seconds, I swear he was as easy as the Worg Dark Runners which are around level 28-29.

Killed this guy 4 times now on my mining routine around the brightwood grove 3 times he dropped the bow and 1 time I looted a mail belt wich I use now atm. I sold the bows on AH for 85 s pp

Killed him on Xavius server the dates 19th and 20th may 2007. At both time he was lvl 32 and myself with my new hunter was lvl 24 only. First attempt ( the day 19th ) )I died, and the 2nd attempt it was close for me to die again. Becuase my pet had hard time to keep aggro. but I made it. He dropped the helmet for me. the day 20th I kicked his butt, only got aggro once but with a cc shot, I had the range all the time, and it was actually my pet who killed him, while he was walking towards me. The drop again was the helmet.

Its pretty obvious even from reading this page that he is NOT a quest monster, but a rare spawn rumoured to be on a 6 hour timer. This means that you could hypothetically spend 5 hours and 59 minutes looking for him and not find him. If its really that important to you, my advice would be come back periodically over a long stretch of time, if ur worried u wont spot him create a macro to /target fenros, and hit this from time to time wandering round.

Saw him today when I logged in early in the morning to do some hunting for the Worgen in the Woods quest. I was a 27 hunter and he spawned as a lvl 32=( Figuring that I might not get another chance I promptly sent my trusty crab to keep him busy while I fired away...and damn, this guy casts! Got my pet to around 30% fairly quickly after which set out for me...and I went melee. >.< He resisted every disengage attempt, but he didn't have that much life left on his lifebar( meaning it was definitely below half :3) so I wing clipped him and ran around like crazy shooting him from time to time while my pet(he lllliiiivvvveeeedddddd!)kept his life going down. We finally dropped him. Used a healing pot in the process, and he dropped the bow.(grrrrrrrr I wanted a helmet) Now I'm going to time him to see if he's really on a 6 hr timer or not. Hehe. :D

EDITED: Nope, doesn't seem to be on a 6 hour timer.

I dont get it. How can anyone see this guy as a challenge? got him on lvl 25 with my rogue, and got the head. Since then I've killed him loads of times. With my %^&*!@# today, lvl31. I had 100% hp 50% mana after the fight, no kiting needed. he droped the bow which I 2minutes earlier had vendored -_- .

Easy kill, easy to pull alone.

He walks around most of the entire area that is marked as a spawn location, so it's easiest to find him if you (or a PT member) have tracking.

I killed him this morning at ~ 0659. He dropped the Ravenwood Bow AND a Scaled Leather Headband of the Falcon. Nice.

I didn't even know he existed until all the sudden,he just spanws in front of my nose,I saw the silver circle around his portrait and I thought,why not give it a go.At that moment I was 27 so my chances were pretty low.But actually he wasn't that hard at all.Open up with CS,do another SS and when he breaks free from stun,use evasion.Give him a gouge,regenerate energy,SS once more and do a evis.He likes to use his magic so keep an eye open to that.Some well place kicks or a nicely timed gouge prevented him from using his spells all the time.He actually only hit me once.I just one medium healing potion and that was it.He dropped the helm...it rocks :p

Even met him with a friend,killed him again,got the helmet again sold it for 3g(ripoff I guess :s).

Guess I'm just lucky.

I killed this guy with a lvl 26 NE druid... plus a couple others. He droped the bow. My advice, skip this guy unless if you plan on farming him... he was a waste of time.

I found him as a level 32 and solo'd him as a level 27 feral druid with a combination of tanking with bear and heals over time. i did actually die at the same time as him though due to aggroing a shadow caster 3/4 of the way in.

after getting back to the corpse he had dropped a ravenwood bow.

Took him out with my alt some time ago, just found the screenie while browsing around my computer. BTW I did it solo, in three trys.

ok i dont know if this is noteworthy but i just happened to come across fenros yesterday. i killed him at 430am. i got the bow btw. 10 minutes later i came across lupos another rare monster so that was cool. anyways i came back today 25 hours later and fenros was there again. killed him got the helm this time. will try again tomorrow. didnt find lupos this time. 5 minutes after i killed fenros there a few other people showed up so i got lucky.

Is that 6 hours hard or does it fluctuate? If you bag him at 1:40 ... as I did today at lunch :) ... can I camp him on him at 7:40?

Also, it bears repeating that it's worth following him a bit until he's away from possible adds ... that made my kill much easier. Of coarse, Druids and Rogues have an advantage there (I was prowling behind him ... lvl 30 Druid). Also, if you have competition I could see someone getting an itchy trigger finger.

He was not too far from main camp walking kinda south-easterly. And i don't think it's been said here but he was easy to spot because he was much bigger than the other Worgen.

Found him during the DAY, yes I said DAY. got the helm. 20 rogue , dropped with ease.. used on potion and stunned then bandaged... got about 3 tics on the bandage.. not too hard

i found him just north of the road. when i asked a higher to help me, i looked at him and he just disappeared. looked for em for 15 minutes and didn't find him anymore. too bad, my paladin wanted that helmet (yes i know its leather)

I have farmed him successfully everyday for the past week looking for the Tribal Worg Helm. Like clockwork I have killed him everyday between the hours of 06:30 A.M. and 07:00 A.M. Thats the best time because well at least in my server noone is in Duskwood at this time that early in the morning and hes always in one of the camps. The easiest way to do it if you have the track huminoids skill is to turn it on and pace around the camps and point at clusters of Worgen. Once you find him hes pretty easy well at least being a 34 Druid. But alas every day I have got the Ravenwood Bow. No helm. But once I get one..they go for 15G..cha-ching. Happy farming!

Killed him today just after 24:00, havent seen him before that time.

There are serveral camps full of other mobs that look like him. He walks from camp to camp pausing in everyone of them. A guild mate who came to help me could easely kill him as a lvl 32 rogue.

The looks: He is somewat bigger than the others and is reddish(red but not realy red) in color.
As for spells I have only seen one: Frost Nova - it is anoying but he doesnt run to ranged distance after he casts it.

Dropped the helm.

Just dropped him with my pally whos 27. 10 minute fight. Took 2 mana potions, 2 bubbles, and an ass load of healing to drop the SOB. Dropped the Ravenwood Bow.

Not so lucky:
This rare npc spawns about 5-8h after someone has killed him, his drop chances are aproximately 2 out of 3 times bow, 1 out of 3 times helmet, camped him for my lv 27 hunter helment and killed him 7 times, droped the helmet at the 8 when was about to give up but killed it on my alt while I was mining, he usually Spawns at the camp with 2 big huts and moves tho the other 2 camps, wish you better luck, at least I got it in the end.
