In preparation for Naxxramas, we're highlighting our new guide to Frost Resistance gear and consumables you may want to farm for Sapphiron.
WoW Classic Frost Resistance Gear
Naxxramas
in Phase 6 of WoW Classic will bring
Sapphiron
, a giant undead dragon encountered just before the end boss,
Kel'Thuzad
. One of the challenging parts of this fight is the need for everyone in the raid -- not just the tanks -- to have significant amounts of
Frost Resistance
gear.
Sapphiron
has devastating cold-based attacks, including a
Frost Aura
that ticks for about
600 frost damage every 2 seconds
on every member of a raid. During the fight, two blizzard attacks will roam around the room, doing about
2,500 frost damage
every 2 seconds for every person in range. In addition,
Sapphiron
does direct frost damage from
Icebolt
and
Frost Breath
.
There are things you and your guild can do to prepare for frost resist gear for Naxx before you set foot inside the raid.
Help your Tailors, Blacksmiths, and Leatherworkers get appropriate faction.
All three will need Revered with
Hydraxian Waterlords
. For
Argent Dawn
, Tailors will need Revered, and Blacksmiths and Leatherworkers will need Exalted.
Stock up on other items to prepare for quest turn-ins.
You won't be able to do these until you have
Frozen Rune
s to turn in as well, but you can set aside the other necessary items in advance. The items you will need to gather and create are as follows:
