EU Players Unable to Redeem Original The Burning Crusade Collectors Edition
30/05/2021 alle 10:00
European players looking to redeem their Burning Crusade Collector's Edition codes from 2007 have been surprised to learn that they are no longer able to redeem its code for their
Collare di Draghetto Fatuo
in both Shadowlands and The Burning Crusade Classic.
The reason for the inability is because European players had to do extra steps in order to do their Collector's Edition redemption. Players needed to send a mail with their Collector's Edition Loot Card, Collector's Edition Bar Code, and a printed copy of their account management page to Blizzard's office in Versailles in order to have their Burning Crusade Collector's Edition added to their account.
The detailed steps for the process can be found
on this web archive page
, because the
original Blizzard support article has been deleted without explanation
Earlier this year, players were still able to redeem their Collector's Edition, but recently players have been receiving replies from GMs that this process can no longer be done as can be seen on
and in the ticket below. Thanks Dunderman1 for providing the snippet.
The change in policy likely has to deal with the closure of Blizzard's Versailles office,
announced late last year
. With the change, European players still can't redeem their Burning Crusade Collector's Edition normally, attempting to do so returns the error below.
Other Collector's Edition codes are still redeemable normally by European players, only The Burning Crusade codes are affected by this.
