great twink weapon for a lvl 39 hunter, grab 2 and toss up some +15 agi. enchants and you've got quite a few stats between all the two items. Though they are good in general for any hordie lucky enough to get there hands on it.

Not available to Alliance since the NPC that drops it is friendly to the Alliance. It is only lootable by Horde since only they can target him as an "unfriendly".

Please note..this is a Horde only weapon. Baelog is friendly with allies...

Notice it says BAELOG not ARCHAEDUS. Archaedus is the boss not baelog.

As far as I can tell this stuff cannot be gained by any alliance character as the Lost Vikings... I mean dwarves are alliance freindly and therefore cannot be attack.

this isnt that hard to figure out... there is even a freaking quest to go and talk to baelog, HE drops it. but only horde can get it because he is alliance friendly. its the same with the viking helm and that shield. Archaedus is the final boss

EDIT: btw the 3 dwarves are quite an easter egg, they are the main characters from one of blizzards earliest games... The Lost Dwarves

It droped for me of one of the 3 dwarf bosses at the start of the dungeon right where you get the medallion

This sword and the Sword of Omen are both great weapons for hunters, but they are unavailable for the Alliance. There should be some way the Alliance could get those weapons. I looked all over Thottbot for the best 30-39 equipment for hunters so I could have an edge in Battlegrounds. These two swords, some Murloc Dagger, and a necklace were all in my list of stuff I wanted. They all had good Agi and Stamina bonuses, but they are only available to the Horde. Kind of unbalanced if you ask me.

If you were to get hated status with a lot of Dishonorable Kills. Would these dwarves turn hostile for Alliance players? Too much effort to be worthwhile, but would make an odd experiment.

Haha ive heard how hard this is to get it has dropped 3/5 times ive ran this instance and also the epic from zf sword got in 3 runs COUGH*LUCKY*COUGH good luck getting this sword horde my luck was...=)

I got this the other day with my (at the time) lvl 43 Rogue. Someone told me it was a PoS but, I really love it. It's a great sword for Rogues in their off-hand.

I'm duel weilding this now with my Firey enchanted Phantom Blade and I smacked +4 dmg on to Longshank for mass pwnage. I'm only lvl 44 but I figure I'll be hanging onto this for a long while.

For all you Alliance noobs whining how you can't get it - YES YOU CAN.

Go in the instance and get to Digsite #2 and kill the three vikings (Eric the Swift, Olaf, and BAELOG). Baelog is the miniboss and he has a chance at dropping this. Took me 7 RUNS (15 min each run with a healer and another party member).

Well, what faction does he have? (if any). Try to turn on "At war" in the Reputation page (U) with the correct faction if he has it. You should be able to kill him then.

Wow. This is a great sword and it is impossible for Alliance to get it. Is there a way to kill a friendly NPC?

Only way I could think of is if you had a friend who was a priest on the Horde side and had them Mind Control Baelog, then you could steal the kill by doing all the damage on him yourself? Dunno if that would work or not, as I am not a priest.

This is probably more trouble than it is worth. But if you are playing on a normal server you can do this.

Make a horde character.
Get the sword.
Trade it over the neutral AH. (Booty Bay AH)

As usual, blizzard loves horde. We can't get this in any way. Nor is there a BOP sword that nice with a 8% drop rate for us.

you idiots�the dwarves in ULDAMAN arent so friendly to the alliance. next time,try to actually PAY ATTENTION to the convesation.

The dwarf in question, Baelog, is a friendly dwarf to the alliance. He is of Ironforge faction. There is no "At War" check box next to Ironforge for people who have alliance characters.

It appears this guy is only a "boss" to Horde characters, but to Alliance he is friendly. Too bad, could use the sword for my rogue.

its a BoP sword so u cant trade over nuetral trade and and i kno a rogue that duel wields this which is pretty whicked in PvP

Next time try reading earlier posts, or actually paying attention, or better yet go in with an alliance character you'll find out. Baelog is part of IF thus making him friendly, he's an enemy to the Horde only. Alliance can't kill other alliance, and you can't go at war with IF.

Anyone get this sword in 2020? My friend and I are killing Baelog for the 20th time and not a single sighting. Not on any additional full Ulda runs either... just bad luck?

Edit: It dropped on our 26th time through. Just need to openly complain sometimes I guess :)
