the box is under the ship with like 10 guys. u pull one guy u pull them all.

I'm a Rogue, so the way i did this was snuck up to the box while stealthed. u can instantly unlock it. hit accept to complete it. and then run for it. when i got our of the boat i vanished and the quest was done :)

If you aren't a rogue, I found the best way without spending too much time is to just run in there, grab the box, complete the quest and run. I died but you can res outside the ship, so then youre done.

The captain is on the 2nd ship...you can actually walk up a piece of wood that is in the water at the back of the ship that will lead you directly to the Captain and you don't have to kill anything else. It was easy for a 29 warrior

if you are a rouge lvl 28 you can go 2 boat numer 2 and ambush the captain and no one others willd attack even if you kill no one others

Where exactly is the box under the ship because I can't seem to find it anywhere?

u dont have to go down all the lvls of the ship to get to the lockbox (once you've got the key) bcos all u have to do is swim dwn NEXT to the ship and go in a hole in the side of the ship and unlock the box. I didnt have one sailor attack me, this could have been bcos i was a lvl 33 at the time but even if u did agro it would be 1 or 2 sailors.

so to help you guys out the captain is upstairs so get on the side of the ship and pull one by one the undead, then the top part of ship where captain is there are 3 guards and the captain himself, kill the captain get the key then swim under the water and again pull one by one, there are two chest one with random stuff and the other with is the intreprid key chest, open chest and there ya go.

this took me a while and is really annoying

Strongbox is easy to find. Swim to the north side of the ship and dive all the way down to the sea floor at the middle. You'll see a large rectangular shaped hole in the hull. Swim through and the strongbox is right there in front of you, among some green strands of seaweed. To the left of the box (if you're facing south) there's a solid chest. You may have to fight 1 or 2 mobs depending on your level and who you aggro. Easy peasy.
