My guild just got its' first one shortly before patch, however the hunter who got it uses his Rhok now. But these weapons are close to each other now in terms of DPS.

A pretty good weapon for a hunter. The bow obtained from the hunter epic quest does a similar amount of dps, but this has +18 agility. Pick whichever best suits your needs. If no hunter needs this it could also be useful for a rogue or dps warrior with the +agility.

One thing I noticed a lot of people forgot was that for hunters, 1agi=2ranged attack power. Roughly 52 agi is the equivalent of +1% crit. And for hunters we have our quivers and ammo pouches which increases ranged attack speed. So with all of this into account and using the formula above for ranged attack damage, both bows are really nice, but I feel it is up to the hunter rolling for it to decide what is better because they know best how they want their toon built.

I know all of you rogues love agi, but hunters do too. And ranged weapons, regardless of whether it be a bow, xbow, or gun, is a hunters best weapon. How would rogues feel if a hunter rolled on a dagger or sword with nice agi on it. I don't think you guys would like it at all and that is how we hunters feel with people saying certain ranged weapons are better for classes other than hunters.

But don't get me wrong here, if no hunter needs then by all means rogues warriors whoever roll for it, but hunters should get first dibs if they feel it will be an upgrade to their character.

These threads have more enthusiasm than the scientific community. You with all your formulas and calculations. Me being a 60 rogue, I would say this would be a nice weapon but I would pass it to any hunters. It looks like shi# anyways. I think all the AQ stuff do. I rather have a gun anyways they are cooler. Me being a rogue, I only use ranged whenever people root me or freese me or start running away. (vanish is used up)

1. Multishot - The attack power of this skill has been normalized. All ranged weapons will now use 2.8 as the standard multiplier. Weapons that are slower than 2.8 will see their damages reduced slightly, and weapons that are faster than 2.8 will see their damages increased slightly.

When ranged weapons get normalized to 2.8 speed, Huhuran will be the #1 dps PvE weapon for Hunters. Edging out Xbow of Smiting by .5 dps.
This dps bonus will be slightly higher for trolls (like me), thanks to their bow specialization.
Xbow of Smiting will still be the PvP champion, thanks to its slow speed.
In most guilds, Hunters would have the opporunity to get this bow first. Then the rogues / warriors could fight over it.

Why do rogues want this so much? Wouldn't Striker's mark, Heartstriker, or Bow of Taunt(NR!) Sinew be better. hell Stiker's mark has more AP and chance to hit!.

1.10 Patch will normalize hunter's shots to 2.80. So u should see the use of all ranged weapons atm, thinking in near future. Here is the new table counts:

Personaly i prefer 18AGI, since i get:
+0,33% crit
+36 range-ATP (The exactly the same that Ashjre'thul only give)
+36 armor
+0,66% dodge

SO, if u wanna talk about ATM, yes Ashjre'thul is the best Ranged of the game. If u wanna talk about the future, 1.10 patch, that will be released in a few weeks... GET HUHURAN's STINGER!

Note: An in my case, i have Lightning Reflexes 5/5, that means 18 Agility +15%, that will improve much more all stats :))

If a rogue/warrior wants a "Stats ranged weapon"

ZG/MC/BWL:

- Mandokir's Sting: +11 agility +8 stamina
- Blastershot Launcher: +1% crit +6 stamina
- Striker's Mark: +22 power +1% hit
- Xbow of ID: +5 strength, +7 agility, +5 stamina, +1% hit
- Dragonbreath: +14 agility,+7 stamina

BUT why o why would you want the best DPS ranged weapon?

This can be a good alternative to Rhoc.

Comparing the two bows ,adding +7 scope, dps and damage by Rap/agi on a survival hunter:

This:
94-170 +8 dam by agi (18*1 ,
=102-178 every 2,7 ,51,85 dps plus 0,4 crit

Rhok:
96-173 +3,5 by rap = 99,5-175,5 every 2,9 sec 47,41 dps plus 1%crit

Simply Max damage and dps higher,0,6% crit loss.

We currently have 2 of theses weapons in our guild.

Both have gone to Hunters, because of weapon speed normalization on special attacks, this is the best PvE ranged weapon for damage a Hunter can get.

Would you want a hunter to get an ashkandi? or Dark Edge of Insanity? No.

So similarly you would not want a rogue/warrior to get this.

on to huhurans stinger:

the untrained eye will say :
stinger has 2.3 more dps
the raw damage is 2-3 lower
it is faster then rhok so it must do worse damage with specials
+18 agility versus +17ap +1crit
RHOKDELAR IS A CLEAR WINNER

18 agility for a hunter means 36 ranged attack power, 0.33%chance to crit 0,7dodge
for a hunter with Lightning Reflexed(+15%agility) its 41 ranged attack power and 0,39%chance to crit 0,8 dodge

16 ranged attack power is 1 dps, so this bow doesn't just have 2.3 more dps, but it will have 3.4 dps

now what do you prefer, 0,61%crit or 19 RAP+0,7-0.8dodge?
it's the old discussion of the people with 30%crit who hit like a sissy and the people with 24% crit who hit hard but crit alot less
personally i would go with the extra RAP, hits will be harder

Maverik45 (the one who wrote "WARRIOR BOW" ,and many other stupid comments, earlier)...you're retarded...yes, warriors do use a bit of agility but for hunters agility is EVERYTHING. So this is a hunter bow along with almost all epic bows & guns and such. Thats it, there is no more discusion needed... PS: "Since when do Hunters use Bows" (which was also written by Maverik45)and "WARRIOR BOW" (in which he said, "Hunters should get last priority on all bows because the don't really need them") bring up a question : Since when have you played WoW?

High end instances you want high attack power, not burst damage crit.

36 ranged attack power and a ~.33% crit chance (or 41 ranged attack power and ~.40% crit chance if you have lightning reflexes) on Huhuran.

17 attack power, 1% chance to crit on Rhok.

With respect to long-term hunter DPS, (i.e. PVE raid instances) 6 agility = 1% chance to crit = 17 attack power, assuming a base 1500 attack power with a 22.22% chance to crit. (my current stats) Trust me, I've done the math.

So this is in fact around 50% better than the Rhok from a stat point of view, thereby there is little need for blizzard to change the damage range from the Rhok.

Oh and my fury warrior.. he wants striker's mark, stats on that are much better for him than this.

Compare to Huhuran's Stinger..dps is higher..speed matters but after the speed normalisation in the patch it wont effect you that much..about the same i reckon.

This i simply the perfect weapon in endgame instances for hunters. The dps and speed is great and the stats is awesome for mass-agility builds.

You should aim for weapons with high DPS as possible and close to the 2.80 speed. This is the best weapon by "far" atm. Try using quick weapons with the "Badge of the swarmgaurd", and when you reach down to the 20 sec, pop your, "Zandalarian Hero Medallion, Works on multiple targets with MS, it's quite a sight for the eyes and you climb the dpsmeter like a madman.

Recently discovered on the taiwanese forums, class changes that state that there may be a ranged normalization for multi and aimed shot. Comparison with old DPS vs new DPS w/ normalization @ 2.8 speed. So yes, this will be the best ranged weapon, DPS wise, after the patch (and if the normalization occurs)

The First column is the rank post-normalization. Second column is the post-norm dps. Third column is pre-norm rank, and the forth is the pre-norm dps.
