This is very good vs rogues who masively (preperation) use stealth. When a rogue goes vanish just back a bit and w8 1-3 seconds for deadly poison damage him. And there u have him.
And 140 dmg is nice. With a 5 poiso0n stack.

agreed that this is a waste. But pretty much every class got the shaft on at least one book. This is ours. Though I'll find it more useful than Backstab seeing as I'm swords.

But it's still pretty much useless compared to Instant in raiding at least. with 3/8 BF your chance to apply poisons get increased by 5%. So while deadly is still stacking (and wasting an often precious debuff slot) I'll be slapping 100+ instant poisons down and even if 5 deadly got stacked at once, I can still put down more poison damage in that same 12 seconds, usually.

I got the Feint book, so the other rogues can have deadly/BS. I got what I wanted, heh.

Got this book from AQ20 purely for the dot damage for the vaelstrasz fight as high burst damage can cause wipes due to over aggro-ing so Im making a load of this for the other rogues in my guild. Also on a side note add points in vile poisons and this is 1 serious dot the rogues have at their disposal. Oh and in reply to the person who said u cant get multiple stacks from rogues during a raid...2 of us were using this tonight and both of us had 5/5 on the same target throughout.

Deadly Poison Does stack so if more then one rogue is using it they will both have a sperate poison on the mob.

i won this last night off rajaxx, and it is awesome for a pve dagger rogue, i can put this on my MH and instant offhand and boost my dps, true it only helps one person but thats one small bit more likely your raid is going to survive a boss encounter.

sure it's good against other preperation rogues, but you can just use rupture...

And rupture is cheaper. In fact, it's free.

Doesn't take a whole lot of energy.

So instead of spending 1000g on this gyp, just use rupture. It's about 5 gold from your trainer and about the same damage too. 612 damage over 22 seconds rather than 18. whoopty doo.

Does Deadly Poison rank 5 overrule all lower ranks of Deadly Poison or can more of them be cast on the same target?

(for example: can you stack both deadly poison rank 4 as deadly poison rank 5 five times on the same target without one dispelling the other?)

Otherwise this WOULD really be great... DP rank 4 on offhand DP rank 5 on mainhand :)

Deadly V stacks seperate than Deadly IV. This means, there will be two debuffs on your target. Therefore, you effectively get a total of ten dots on the same target (Deadly 4 and 5 stacked up to 5 times).

My guild uses Deadly 4 and 5 on Onyxia to help with dots during Phase 2. Seeing as they both stack, it is quite nice in a PvE environment.

Look at it this way:

Deadly Poison Rank V: 136 Dmg over 12 Seconds (Stacks 5 times) !
Math: 136 x 5 = 680

Deadly Poison Rank IV: 108 Dmg over 12 seconds (Stacks 5 times)!
Math: 108 x 5 = 540

So it is a 140 dmg more (Over 12 sec) difference! So that is like 1 more second on Deadly Poison rank IV. Not to much of a difference. Beside, i am already #1 on the DPS list, so why would i need a extra power? If i could get it for like 5g i would, but it isn't worth 700g. It just isn't worth it. If you think it is, your a noob and not doing enough DPS! C'mon, you can beat me! I am using a Phantom Blade! GG whoever can't.
