The Rage of Mugamba becomes available to all Warriors at no cost when they reach an exalted status with the Zandalar Tribe. Simply go speak to the big troll on the island once you reach exalted, and turn in your revered neck to receive this shiny piece.

This necklace works great for a tank when used in conjunction with another Vindicator piece (such as the chest piece) for an extra 2% block from the set bonus.

1% dodge is better than 2% block...would u rather avoid a 900 damage hit in MC completely or just take like 600 of it instead? plus 9 defense is just about .4 to block dodge and parry, so...

Revenge. for 5 rage when you block dodge or parry. And the more revenge your throwing out the more stable the aggro will be on you.

also if your a serious tank with a bit of might armour and a drillborer disk then this is your friend.

+% block gets better and better the more + shield block you have. Some tanks out there have 200ish shield block value, and with the shield block ability they can pretty much block 1 attack per 2-3 seconds. Taking 5000 less damage per minute is nothing to scoff at. Being able to throw out 20-30 revenges per minute is nice too, provided you can gather enough rage for it all.

Also, for reference:
5 defense is about equal to 1% mitigation through dodge/parry/crit/crushing/block. If you think block is totally useless, then I guess it's 6 def = 1% mitigation for you.

Edit: also note that this neck has 8 agility, which is 0.4% to dodge, and some armor/crit besides.

I'd say if I had the choice, I'd take this neck over the medallion of steadfast might, but I value block, and believe that it shows significant benefit with a drillborer and a pair of ZG enchants. Just that alone (with 3 might) will net you 129+Str/25 shield block value. Sure, on average, 1% dodge might net you more, but it'll be spiky, and I'm all about consistant damage.

Maybe you didnt take into account that shield block increases block chance by 75%, easily able to block 2 attacks in the space of 5 seconds. Did you also not take into account that revenge is on a 5 sec cooldown so therefore 20-30 revenges per minute is impossible.

Get some real value's please. 129 str no where near increases your block value by 25, when i get a crusader proc, thats 100 str right there, my block value only increases by about 7

Also think about it this way, a tank tanking Onyxia will never be able to block a knockback which really effs the tank around, yet being able to dodge/parry that knock back is a real gem.

This item is not rolled on, and does not drop from any mob. It is awarded to you for reaching a certain level of faction with the Zandalar tribe.
At every new Zandalar faction level you are eligible to receive a new amulet from an NPC on Yojamba island. You simply turn in your old amulet, and you are given a new one. The better your faction, the better the amulet:
Friendly: Uncommon amulet
Honored: Rare amulet
Revered: Better Rare amulet
Exlated: Epic amulet

just go full might except for zandalar chest and neck, zg shield and u get higher block %, and with a couple of zg enchants u have over 150 dmg blocked. With zandalar chest, 1 zg enchant, zg shield and 3/8 might i have around 138 dmg blocked atm.

My guild uses DKP on epics in MC and ZG. So this necklace is both a cheaper and easier way of getting a fairly good tanking necklace. A "few" runs to ZG and you got it.

Its all based on personal preference really. But if you look at it this way, the bracers of might and the bracers for the zg set are quite compareable. I would definately go for some extra agility, knowing that I'm going to be missing out on the 1% dodge from not wearing the medallion first off. Secondly, having 4% block is insaneo.

Just remember though, you can only get a maximum of 60% for block/dodge/or parry. So don't go overboard. Even em out. Having all three at 20% is the best, otherwise you're just hurting yourself cause it reduces them all equally. For example : If you have 30 block, 20 dodge, and 20 parry, they will be reduced equally to get to a total of 60%. The values will change to 26.66% block, 16.66% dodge, 16.66% parry. Don't believe me? Ask Blizzard.

Especially with styleen's impending scarab with an amazing 5% block, dont throw away your medallion of steadfast might.

steadfast and the blue from spider is better in the sence of dmg reduction no doubt imo, but the 8agi gives crit, so if you go fury, i would use this for keeping flurry up - dmg reduction is good, but if you loose agro to those sick dmg dealers, dmg might be needed if your healers can heal you :)

So think im gonna use this on thrash mobs in mc, but steadfast on bosses.

You need to be exalted with zandalar tribe. the reputation is gained by killing mobs and bosses in zul'gurub.

Me personally have 16600/21000 rep. got the neck that drops from spider, so cant wait for getting that neck.

Got exalted and this neck tonight and asked around to see if I should replace my medallion of steadfast might with it (I currently use the chest as well so I get 4% block from the necklace, essentially; lots of defense on other gear so I prefer the chest's stats). One friend offered this tidbit I'd never really thought about: he said when you block, you cannot be critted OR crushing blowed. So, especially when you're using shield block as often as possible, + block % really reduces your spike damage. I thought the crushing blow part was the biggun, since defense only reduces crit chance, not crushing blow chance (which otherwise stands at a flat 15%, I'm pretty sure).

Anyway, I now plan to use this neck with the chest piece for heavy hitting bosses, then switch out to the medallion for casters so I can get the dodge %.

It's assumed that you'd be wearing the bracers with this neck. If you wore bracers and this neck versus medallion of steadfast might, I would give it to this purely because pure defense isn't all that's needed on a tank. 4% block is nothing to scoff at, if you think blocking sucks, just look at a styleen's. But the real factor is that ZG is mucccccccch easier than MC. My guild downed hakkar 2nd try, and we're still making our way through MC (in fact we're doing baron tonight, the only boss besides Rag I havn't done)

We can safely say that those necklaces are very close from each other. As mentionned before, its all based on you personnal feeling and depends on the stats you already have. If you have very very little dodge, maybe go for steadfast ? But from my point of view mugamba is still the best because blocking will get better and better with high end game shields from the aegis of blood god to drillborer and elemenitum 'car door' shield from BWL or immovable object, you will mitigate 70 damages on each block with only the shield (then add strength to your calculation, which will also increase more and more).

Also remember that wearing another piece of armor of the ZG set will provide with an additional 2% block, which is basicaly awesome :D Therefore you should farm up ZG reputation, because there are some very good pieces of armor and equipment to get ;)

Some nice dps pieces but the set bonuses dont quite go together, Shield Blocking, Whirlwind, and intimidating shout? Still Nice though =]

This neck + Vindicators chest is cool.

For those of us who are trying to get more of our tier pieces and passing on the Steadfast Might... this is a cool (FREE) piece of gear.

i think the medallion of steadfast might or the master dragonslayer'd medallion are very good ones aswel, i think it depends ur playstyle as a tank tho...

ok, this is crazy. at level 70 what more can they do? if they try to make things better and better, every hit will be instant kills!

what would you use?
Either take steadfast for the dodge % or this for the 2% crit chance to block. I would use this for pvp obviously for the rage deduction on hamstring but for tanking I dunno, what do you guys think?
