i think there are drops that "benefit" other classes more than another. As for this drop, i know there are much better drops that would benefit a paly better than this necklace. (just because its purple doesnt mean everyone and their mother needs it.) if you want to still bicker about what and why such in such classes deserve this drop, i say just fight it out and may the best class win.

This dropped in ubrs of mob in gen room and get this 2 ppl rolled 100 on it! both of them druids the guy who rolled 100 first musta been crying because he lost after being 99% sure he won it. and the whole pally argument is stupid pallys need int and plate with int is pretty limited most pallys I know look to fill neck slot with as much int as possible and oh look +19 (i have seen this on a pally b4)its same with tooth of gnarr the paladins are always asking can I roll? sure dude! its boe remember all the rogues and warriors and hunters tried thier luck on it too good thing they got owned by druid.

So I'm sitting here surfing through caster necklaces to find one for my druid, and on every single one I see this lame pally/hunter/etc flame war.

Paladins in molten core and the other high end instances function much like a priest. They heal, they buff, and they de-debuff. Many of them end up exceeding some of the druids and priests in healing done. I feel sorry for paladins who don't realize what the end game role for their class generally ends up being. Basically, paladins have to keep two sets of equipment like a druid does: one set for farming and offtanking and another for when they are in their healer role. Generally, paladins should be encouraged to keep their healer gear as nice and up to date as possible so they can better serve their functions in the high end raids.

As for hunters, I'm sure the people who posted on various caster necklaces that hunters should use them were just trying to rile folks up. There are some seriously sexy hunter necklaces out there with agility or other things that have a huge benefit to a hunter (and many of them aren't that hard to come by). A hunter would be nuts to waste their neck slot on something much less ideally suited to them.

Because I'm getting pretty mad about all those noobs spamming like 'I can roll on it and other people can't because it gives <stat> and they need <stat> more' while I'm trying to find out where that item could drop, I'll post my opinion about that in here.

1. Anybody should have the right to roll since it's Bind on Equip, as you can see, so you'll just have to be lucky to be in a nice party with people that don't roll when they don't need it (which usually is), else you'll just have to take it that for example a Warrior will win it, and try to buy it from that player, since they could use the money (that's usually the reason why they will roll).

2. Instead of posting who can and who can't roll on it try to goddamn find it yourself (then you'll notice you'll have a 0.001% chance to witness this drop yourself), and if it dropped, don't spam like 'I wanted it so badly but the noob Warrior rolled on it too and he won and he didn't want to sell it to me for 1c' etc. in this place, but instead be happy you could've witnessed the drop and say where it dropped to make other people know where they could try to find (because that's what Thottbot is for mostly, to let people know where to find something and what the stats are of which item they're looking for).

After posting this I think alot of those noobs which spam about who can and can't roll on this will be against me, so I think this post will be voted down quickly, but I don't give a @#$% about that. Have fun playing and hope you'll find it.

I am a 60 priest who won this in a PUG...and yes I am wearing it. You can argue till you are blue in the face but honestly why? This item can be used by anyone, can be best used by anyone who sets their characters up with those stats. Notice it does not say priest, mage, druid, shammy or anything. It doesnt matter what you are, if you have won this item as well grats to you...I still take it off to put on the drakefire ammy so, unless your new, you'd realize that this item, like many others, is only good when you need more int, but, as a priest I will tell you, I need all three of those stats, pallies, well, I play one too..and honestly, I wouldnt dream of equiping it on him, No str or defense bonus, their are necks that are far better for pallies...but whatever

Second time I have ran UBRS dropped off of a Blackhand Iron Gaurd. I, a lock, won the roll, very nice! I rolled a 99 for it too!

Dropped last night on Argent Dawn Europe. We've just entered the Slaughter Square in Stratholme (the square just before the Baron), and an Abomnation drops it.

We were quite many rollers, and I lost with an 84 to my Guild Mate's 85 (Paladin). Thankfully he was kindhearted and gave it to me right away in Trade.

played STRAT with 5 people and rolled 3 or 4 blue boss drops noone needed. I said "folks, I have the feeling that I'll return to rolling like crap when good stuff drops" .. 2 minutes later this necklace dropped off a bile spewer and the lucky arse of priest won the roll with 75 to 33. My hands are still shaking. This is my second drop od an epic caster necklace, I lost the first one by 1 point to a paladin (Jewelled Amulet of Cairwyn in strat scarlet)... I know I won't be lucky enough to see one of those again

BoE lv59 suggests that it'll drop off guys higher than lv 60 only. if you have really good luck with bosses in instances like upper brs, then maybe drakk baron or the beast will drop one for you ;)

i actually had this drop for me in ungoro crater off of a stone guardian, was only me and druid friend there and i won the roll, though im selling it if money did not matter i would so use it for myself :P

Bind on Equip item means random drop so nothing specific will be carrying it. Level 59 requirement means that the mobs with the best chance to drop this are high level instance bosses(Drak, Rend, Baron, Balnazzar, etc) and level 61-63 mobs found in Upper Blackrock Spire, Molten Core, Tainted Scar, and other places in the world with mobs that difficult.

Damn nice necklace by the way. I'd take it over the Choker of Enlightenment any day.
