This is very good for selling at AH. If you are an engineer and at about this level, sell this for about 4.5-5g. Ignore the idiots who sell it for the underpriced 3.7g.
This will be one of your ways of making money, as most other things you make can only be used by engineers.

In 1.12, Blizzard stealth nerfed it so I couldnt put a +7scope on my Lvl6 twink gun...

Has anyone tried to apply this scope to a lowbie weapon since that patch? (with a high level doing the application still)

I got the deadly scope on my Iron weaver gun as lvl 29 hunter. But I didn't attach it by myself, a lvl 43 did it by the trade window.

..the bow/gun/xbow must be lvl 30,40 etc. now so you can applicate it

now, u cannot enchant a high lvl enchant on a low lvl item. BUT be aware of the fact that the level is based on ITEM LVL, NOT REQ lvl.

ex: ironweaver is a gun req lvl 29, but its a lvl 34item. so u can equip scope +5 which req lvl 30 item.

i picked up ( and farmed) a ton of aquamarine before the BC patch where aquamarine is now 8-10g PER ONE on my crazy server (hakkar)

i sell these anywhere from 8-11 g.... twinks, hunters, etc eat em up since mats for +7 and +10 are pretty nuts

All scopes can only be equipped on an ranged weapon that meets the level requirement.

So if your scope says "requires level 40" then your weapon must be a level 40 item (which means any weapon that requires level 35+ to equip, since items are generall 5 levels higher than their equip requirements) and so on...

Anybody else have trouble selling scopes?
I have to advertise my scopes and prices at nearly not net gain to even get a sniff. Why don't all hunters want scopes? I just don't get it.

I pretty much always look for scopes on AH if I find one at a cheap price, I buy and equip. Unless I am near the turn over for a new gun/bow then I hold the scope for the next weapon.

you have to attach it to a gun that has min lvl req 30. I tried it on a gun with min lvl req 21 (i was lvl 31) and it didnt accept.
