In terms of damage, this set shows a pretty poor performance. While the crit and survival stats is ace, you really lack some AP from this set. If you're gonna use it, go for stuff like Cloak of Firemaw or the neck from Ossirian's head or Seal of the Gurubashi Berserker and stuff like that and you'll end up with a fairly well rounded PvP set.

With this set, full stamina enchants, Forest Stalker Bracers, Deathguard Cloak, and Amulet of the Darkmoon it's possible to break 5k HP unbuffed.

So how and where do you get these now that the rank system is gone?

Is it setup like this:
Player grinds a bg until he hit 50k honor, then he can buy the epics?
or is it
Player grind a bg until he hits 50k honor, then he can buy the right to purchase the epics at an additional honor/mark cost?

Also where is the vendor?

they are coming out with a new look for this PvP set in 1.9 (correct me if im wrong) and its suppose to LOOK a lot more like a rogue set...

1- You don't need to keep Warlord to have this set. Get warlord, buy it and there you go.
2- Loosing PvP rankings by not pvping is possible and actually usual in higher rankings.
3- Stamina is the most important stat in PvP, since you can't do damage dead (anyone that has been to AV knows what I'm talking about).
4- 1.9 will re-design the tier 2 PvE sets (a.k.a. Bloodfang, Wrath, Netherwind, etc), not the PvP ones.
5- Don't like the helm? Hide it.
6- Alliance can't have this. The alliance set is identycal to this one but has a different name.

bloodfang set is way better i think and it looks so much beter also better set bonus but i wish the had a better one on all 8 pieces

if your a PVP rogue this would be the set for you... if your going for the High warlord weapons(the best :P) and doing BWL after that then i should say go for bloodfang.

can some-one please show a pic of a undead or nightelf rogue with this epic set. personnaly i think any other races wearing this is just pathetic. undead and nightelves look the best being rogues. gnomes just look like W@nkers, and humans are just plain pathetic

you all say that bloodfang and nightslayer are better and have 8 pieces etc. but not everyone has a guild which can farm mc and bwl, but they still play alot making it alot more sense to slowly but steadily ranking up to warlord.

that !@#$ load of ap u get is nice for combat sword if u wanna go for pve once uve got the hw's gear, with the extra 50% on ur offhand talents and all that ap u do a s*** load of dmg :P

This is made so people who like to PvP don't get absolutely nothing from it. People say that Bloodfang is so much better but maybe you don't know this, but you do BWL for 6 peices of Bloodfang, that's a lot of BWL. Then you do Onyxia for one peice, and MC for the other. All in all, that's about 2 months of doing the same things because of the reset on them. Versus getting this which has been done in one week of PvPing (hardcore player). Not a hardcore player and still go to school? Come back and win one or two WSGs a day (when you're level 60, at least) and that's all you need to do for about 2 weeks and then you're at least rank 3 or 4. At rank 6 it supposedly gets a lot harder to get honor and maintain rank. That's when you want to start PvPing on weekends for about 5 WSGs and maybe 3 ABs. Following that schedule should get you rank 7 (at least) in about 2 weeks, this is estimated by the equivalent of PvP I've done. (rank 5 currently, will be rank 6 next Tuesday) PvP stuff is made so you don't die every 3 seconds in a fight, like I do. This set is way more appealing to me because I know it'll take forever to get into an end-game guild that does BWL, Onyxia, and MC so much that Bloodfang would drop. Deathdealers is the best PvP gear but, guess what, you need to grind your way from Hated with Brood of Nozdormu, to Honored and then get all the materials required to make it all. THAT will take about 3 months if you're in a casual end-game guild. A serious end-game guild could do it in about 3 weeks of non-stop (only stopping for food, sleep, to buy food) playing. Overall, this is probably the quickest Epic set to get. Also, to buy full Warlord's (rogue) it's an estimated 50g. Buying 2 High Warlord's Daggers is an estimated 43g, 2 Swords is an estimated 44g, 2 Maces is an estimated 45g, it's an estimated 45g for both Fist Weapons, and it's almost 16g for a Bow. Also add the cool Epic Mount you get to buy at Lieutenant General which is 90g. For all that it's about 372g. A LOT cheaper than buying the regular Epic Mount and getting repairs from instances/raids. Rank reduces prices on some of the best gear so don't blow off PvP when it's WSG week or AB week. AV is the smallest amount of honor and the longest battleground, I don't reccomend doing it for honor. You can determine what week it is by walking around a major city (UC, Org. TB isn't really major and I don't think they have PvP people there, I could be mistaken) and seeing what battleground people are there. Example, Defilers Missionary, I think that's what it is, is AB, so when they're around, it's AB week. The best way to determine what week it is is to go to UC and go to the PvP section (in the Apothecarium, guarded by royal guards, just follow that entrance in) and whatever week it is, that battleground master will have 2 people with him and a flag up.

Ok heres the dela it might take a long time and all, but the reason people PvP isnt for the gear its for the actual thrill of fighting somebody else and not some NPC. People Pvp because its FUN so really if you enjoy playing Pvp alot then if your good at it... youll end up getting an amazing set and mount and bow just for doing what you love to do... its a win win AND theres nothing better then beating sum1 with bloodfang and a perditions blade core hound tooth combo. with High warlords gear. and yeah ok the gears better but think of the experience in Person versus person combat you get from working towards this set... your honing your skills while the other guy is just keyboard mashing with 39 other guildies day in and day out. THis is a clear cut great choice in my opinion

Not to mention the fact that having macro's run, auto-healing, etc. that really happens in 40-man raids doesn't really require any skill, it's automatic. Instincts in PvP which require on the spot adjustments, knowing who to target and when, etc. is what really requires the skill.

I dont want to take the thime calculating stats but i think you should read up on wich stat gives wich class wich upgrade. Like rogue's get more from agi then just ap. (dodge/crit)

and AP doesnt affect youre crit chance (it just increases you hit dmg)

BF has more AP (str is also the same as 1 AP) (More crit from the agi bonus.)

This set is good,
I would have gotten high warlord eventually and its a shame that practically every1 at level 60 has at least 1 of these items.

I think this should have been a reward for the dedicated PVP'ers not the common Bob or Joe.

Yeah it must suck now that everyone can get the full HWL or GM set gear and weapons in two weeks. ( well something like 13 days if u pvp everyday for like 10hrs) Alot of GM's i know are ^&*!@ing how blizzard is making it so easy to get gear they worked so hard for. I think the reason blizzard did this is because BC is coming out really soon. If we are gonna be replacing our T1, T2, T3, HWL set, GM set etc, in a matter of days of playing, dont u think that we'll need some decent gear to even attempt doing some raids/dungeons in outland? Do you think that some ppl in blues and greens will even be able to kill the new creeps? I dont know for sure but i think that you will get destroyed in outland if u dont even have some decent gear to start off with. Blizzard making it easy to get the epic pvp gear is just a way of preparing ppl for outland IMO.

I just dont get why the champion's guard set has more AP, i know they've based the stats around agility instead of crit, ap and hit bonus but i dont think a supposedly better set should have less AP what with garotte, eviscerate and rupture being changed to scale with it :/

To get back on you about the reason why this new pvp system has come up. The reaon, imo, is that as u said BC is comming out soon. But I do not think blizzard gives a ^&*! about people surviving dungenes. They wanna make money, they have to make money. So they practically give away this HWL and GM gear so that people will enjoy their new gear and feel that they just have to get it so that they can use it when BC comes cause if they have good gear its more fun right?`if its more fun more people play, than more people buy the BC, than blizz makes more money.

But that's just me...

I have had the full set for some time now and must say that it is one of the most versatile sets in the game at lvl 60. Gives a ton of stamina and agility. For shadowstep rogues i would greatly reccomend getting this set. The burst damage that u can put out on a ambush bs combo is incredible. set-up should be (bloodfury) if ur orc(I am) Premeditation(for the two combo points) shadowstep ambush.(usually i crit clothies around 3-4k warriors still take huge amounts of damage around 2-2.5 k from ambush. then through in a bs or hemo/ss(whatever ur build promotes) u should already have 5 points then blow a eviscerate or throw in a kidney shot. Any rogue who does this and kites well in pvp against warriors and hunters(provided u use Cloak of shadows when poisoned) This set should last u until 70 pvp wise and should leave u with a greatest pvp fun u have ever had.

Ps. Most important thing for new people is poisons(Crippling poison should almost always be on ur main hand/and depending how u feel about locks/mages put Mind numbing)(Me Myself prefer to use instant for added dps for the simple reason that mages/locks usually cannot take enough burst dps to finish u off after correctly performing the post above)

Pss. for those of u that are going to try and tell me that this set is useless at 70 ur crazy bc im 70 and still use it and manage to hit the top of the killing blows/honorable kills/damage done in any BG.(But i would also suggest if u have bc not to waste time in getting this set unless u really really want it as there is better pvp sets at lvl 70.(unfortunately for me i did all the grinding for nothing at lvl 60)
