Not sure if hunter opening abilities already auto-target for you but if they don't:

#Showtooltip
/startattack
/cast Ability Name

This will auto-select targets for you, almost eliminating the need to target things manually while solo-ing. Can also be quit helpful in instances, where targets may be dying too fast to always be picking a new target.

Aside from that, macros can do so many things, asking which ones are good for your class specifically doesn't do much good, as a lot are just useful in general. There are lots of places with macro tutorials such as www.Noxxic.com. www.Wowwiki.com also has a section dedicated to pre-made macros, though many of them are outdated.

Just don't use it for casttime shots while soloing - if you do you will use an autoshot immediately and start the mob running towards you. If you start with Steady Shot followed by Arcane Shot,you will have SS, AS and an autoshot hitting the target roughly the same time, and THEN it starts running towards you.
