hereYou will also want to consider some basic enchanting principles to set yourself up for success:

Make sure you are stationed in a convenient spot for customers. This is typically very close to a mailbox that is closest to the city auction house.

Have a good advertisement message to make your messages stand out, take advantage of the {icons} you can include in your messages for chat channels.

Advertise frequently but do not spam. Spamming may result in a chat ban which in turn means you would have very limited options for advertising yourself as an enchanter. A good rule of thumb is to not send a new message while your previous message could still be in the chat channels window.

Here's a quick overview of the addons functionality:

The add-on adds quick enchant buttons to the trade window so you no longer need to have the default WoW enchanting window open

When a player joins your party while the add-on is open a "Work Order" will be created for them where you can add/remove requested enchants for tracking purposes, it also tracks all the trades the player makes with you.

The top text box in the add-on acts as the "focus" and the name of the player in that box is who the target of the addons actions will be such as whispering enchant mat lists.

Clicking an enchant on the right side of the main add-on window will add it to a work order, shift+click it to link the mats to the player, and ctrl+click it to remove it from a work order. Adding enchants to the work order enables a mat tracking feature in the trade window where it will show if the player has traded you the right amount of mats for their enchants.

Basic Enchanting Workflow

Once in-game, either type /pe or /proenchanters to open the main window. (I made a simple macro with /pe in it to bind to a key to quickly open)

Sync your learned formulas with the Pro Enchanters add-on

Open the default WoW enchanting skill frame where you would go to do enchants without any add-ons
In the add-on select Settings at the bottom left corner and then in this new Settings window hit Sync Recipes
The default settings from this point forward should work fairly well as is but as you get used to the add-on you may want to make changes in here to suit you as well as your server. Do note: If you are on a non-english version of WoW the current trigger words for finding new customers may not work for you and you may want to customize these first, more on that can be found here.
With the add-on open, start advertising yourself for customers and following up on any alerts the add-on gives you for potential customers.
When you have found a customer it is recommended to invite them to your party.
This does a few important things such as allowing them to layer to you, making it easier for them and you to find each other on the minimap and enabling conversation through the party chat channel. The Pro Enchanters add-on also has party specific features such as automatic work order creation and automatic raid icon setting, allowing you to stand out to your customers. Also when players tip you the add-on will announce a "thank you for X tip" message to the party chat which can sometimes set a precedent for other players to follow suit and lead to extra tips of higher amounts. A player that might normally tip 10 silver may choose to tip 50 silver if the two players before them also tipped 50 silver.
Have the player trade you the mats for their requested enchant.
Have the player put up the item they want enchanted into Slot 7 (the will not be traded slot) on their side of the trade window and then hit the relevant enchant button on the side of the trade window as this will apply the enchant. (including overwriting any enchants on the item already)
Accept the trade and any tips they have offered and wish them well on their journey! (If you had advertised enchanting for a fee make sure they pay the fee before you accept the final trade that gives them the enchant)

Make sure you are stationed in a convenient spot for customers. This is typically very close to a mailbox that is closest to the city auction house.

Ease of Access can be a deciding factor between if a player will come to you for an enchant or not. By placing yourself near a mailbox that's close to the auction house you will be one of the first enchanters a player will come across physically when they retrieve their mats after purchasing them.

A typical player looking for an enchant that knows what enchant they want will have typically just left the mailbox when looking for an enchanter. Some players that are ready for an enchant and are about to look for an enchanter may see you and the advertisement message in-game and immediately trade you because you're standing right there already, the ease of access has earned me many customers.

A customer that has asked you what the mats are for an enchant will either be standing at the auction house or heading to the auction house immediately afterwards to purchase those mats which means their next stop has to be the mailbox to retrieve those mats. Even though these players are most likely already a customer at this point, by being close to the mailbox you save them time from having to run to find you, meaning you can enchant their gear and end the transaction sooner, freeing you up to help other players. The sooner you can finish an enchant for a player, the sooner you can help the next and potential earn more gold.

Have a good advertisement message to make your messages stand out.

Advertise your Location, your capabilities, your services, and some popular enchants.

Use formatting that makes your message stand out without being too obnoxious. Having too many symbols in your message can make players skip over it, but putting in a star or a moon symbol adds some color to your message and makes it stand out in a chat window that might be scrolling quickly.

Make it easy. Set up a macro that you can hit once in a while to send your message or have it copied already so you can just paste and send it. Alternatively you can look into add-on's that can help advertise such as AutoFlood.

Try to communicate often and quickly with customers.

By communicating often you can make sure players are not only getting a good experience, potentially gaining you a repeat customer or higher tip, you can make sure that any issues a player has are addressed quickly meaning you can finish your transactions sooner. If there is a reason you have to delay helping a customer let them know. Giving a timeline for when you will be able to help them you will find that some players (not all) are willing to wait and can remove frustrations players may have if they feel like it's taking too long.

Have yourself ready to do enchants.

Having your enchants ready to be applied can speed up the process significantly. This is made extremely easy with the add-on as you can add the enchants that the player wants to their Work Order so that when they do bring you the mats you can quickly and easily confirm if they've brought you the right mats (there is a display that shows what mats are needed versus what mats have been received) as well as use the one click enchant buttons that are attached to the trade window.

Enchanting while not ready can be the difference between a 5 second trade and a 30-60 second trade. This adds up significantly when you're helping multiple players at once and will decrease how much gold per session you are likely to attain. Efficiency is a major factor for how much gold you can make.

When to do enchanting as a service.

Although you will be able to find enchanting customers at any time there is still a noticeable difference between the supply and demand for enchanting through the week. During low periods you will find yourself struggling to get a customer every 10-15 minutes but during high periods you will find yourself overwhelmed with the amount of requests available. On my server I often find the high periods during the week to be on raid reset days but before the common raid times which is often in the later portion of the day in the evenings. I recommend trying to find the high periods to maximize your gold per hour and only enchanting during the low periods if you don't feel like you have a better method of making gold.

The high period tends to be before the common raid start times of 6-7pm server time on weekdays (Players before raids are often getting enchants to get as ready as possible for the raid with their gear) as well as 8-9pm server time (Players returning from raids with new items want to make them extra shiny with some enchants).

Weekends tend to be much busier throughout the main portion of the day when the majority of the playerbase for your server is playing so you should be able to find consistent customers throughout most of the day.

These points are influenced by the servers active population, if the server is a low population server in general enchanting as a service will most likely provide less gold per hour compared to high population servers.

Other enchanters may become annoyed with you as you are taking the majority of the available customers. (Due to the nature of how auto invites work, whoever has the lowest ping will typically see and invite the potential customers first, meaning lower ping does give an advantage here)

It will start by showing any previous history from closed work orders and then an "Invited from" line. If the add-on was what sent the invite either through the auto inviter, the pop up invite, or any invite trigger words. This gives you an idea of what the customer might be looking for.

Next it will show you in order from bottom to top (top being the newest) the history of any enchants you've added as requested, and any trades or custom requests added or completed.

You are able to use the scroll wheel in the history section to view more information if it goes beyond the size limit of the work order.

What it does

"Work while closed?"

Allows the add-on to function while the main window is closed. By default most social functions of the add-on do not work with the main window closed allowing you to close the add-on to play normally without getting potential customer alerts or sending messages to your party on new players joining or trades.

"Channels to search for potential customers"

Allows the player to pick which channels the add-on will watch for potential customer alerts based on the Trigger and Filter words.

"Party size limit to temporarily stop add-on invites?"

Sets the maximum number of players you can have in your party at once before the add-on will stop sending invites. This counts yourself, so if you set it to 5 it will max out at 4 customers + yourself.

"Delay work order creation on non-addon invited players?"

When a player joins the party by default the add-on will create a work order for them, however if you want to limit work order creation to be only for those customers who were invited by the add-on you can enable this and then you will receive a pop up to confirm if you'd like a work order created for someone not invited by the add-on.

"Always whisper the players mats and requested enchants"

By default the add-on will attempt to send messages that are specific to a player (such as mat lists and requested enchant lists) to the raid or party chat before sending them as a whisper. Turning this option on will force all targeted messages to be sent as whispers.

"Click here to set triggered words and filtered words"

This will pop up the Triggers and Filters settings window, more on that can be found in the Triggers and Filters section below.

"Click here to set customer whisper !commands"

This will pop up the !Commands settings window, more on that can be found in the !Commands section below.

"Disable whisper !commands?"

Stops the add-on from responding to the !commands that are setup in the custom !commands section.

"Auto Inv Msg"

The message that will be sent to a player that's been invited to the party by the add-on. Can include the word 'CUSTOMER' in the message which will be replaced by the players name that triggered the message.

"Failed Inv Msg"

The message that will be sent to a player that's been invited to the party by the add-on but was already in a group so the invite failed. Can include the word 'CUSTOMER' in the message which will be replaced by the players name that triggered the message.

"Full Group Inv Msg"

If a player uses an invite trigger to invite themselves to the group but the group is full it will send them this message. Can include the word 'CUSTOMER' in the message which will be replaced by the players name that triggered the message.

"Party Welcome Msg"

Message sent when a player accepts a party invite and joins the party/raid. Can include the word 'CUSTOMER' in the message which will be replaced by the players name that triggered the message.

"Trade started Msg"

Message that gets sent to the party/raid chat when you start a trade with someone. Can include the word 'CUSTOMER' in the message which will be replaced by the players name that triggered the message.

"Tip Received Msg"

Message that gets sent to thank someone who gave you gold/silver/copper. Can include the word 'CUSTOMER' in the message which will be replaced by the players name that triggered the message and the word 'MONEY' to be replaced by the amount the customer gave you.

"Tip Emote"

The emote that will be done when you receive a tip from a customer. Targets the player who gave you the tip, default is 'thank'.

"Auto Raid Icon"

Lets you pick a raid icon to set on yourself automatically when a party is formed.

"Filter the below enchants" section

Lets you Show/Hide enchants in the main windows Enchants section. Used for hiding enchanting recipes that you do not have learned. Doing a "Sync Recipes" will do this automatically and then you can manually enable or do another sync each time you learn a new recipe.

Filtered Words

Words listed here will stop the player from being a potential customer. If the word 'potato' was added to the Filters list and someone said 'lf enchanter with a potato' then it would not invite the player. The filtered words must be in lower-case. You can also add a player's name to the filtered words to stop them from being picked up as potential customers, to do this you add their name starting with a Capital letter (the same way the name is displayed in-game)

Trigger Words

Words listed here will trigger the add-on as a potential customer. Trigger words must be lower-case.
If the trigger word is 'carrot' then the following messages would trigger the add-on: "lf Carrot", "carrots needed", "I would like a CARROT please"
The following messages would not trigger the add-on: "Ineedacarrot", "anyone have 4carrots?"

Inv Words

Words here will trigger an invite if a player whispers them to you. If you put the word "invite" in your Inv Words section and a player whispers you "invite" they will receive a group invitation as long as your party is not at the maximum number of players set in the settings. This is so you can include in your advertisements "Whisper me 'invite' for an invite" and not have to manually invite those players that choose you as an enchanter.

Enter new command and response

You can set a new !command (must start with a !) and then the response text that will be sent to a player if they send you the !command. You can include item links in these commands by getting the item# and placing them in "".

Existing Commands

Edit existing commands, you can change the !command itself or the response. Clear both fields to delete the command.

/pe reset - Resets the main windows size and location to the center of the screen.

/pe goldreset - Resets the current sessions "Gold Traded" display in the main window so you can start fresh if you've been doing trades before starting your enchanting session.

/pehelp - Gives an in-game quick guide for ways to use the add-on.

/pefontsize - Lets you set a new font size (Buttons and the add-on do not resize to fit the font size so this will make visuals look a bit weird. Default is 12.

/pedebug "0/1/2/3" - Set the debug level to 1 or 2 or 3 for debug messages to be printed in the chat frame. Not useful for most players, 0 is off.
