The Guildless Scarab Lord of Faerlina
10/08/2020 à 17:54
Scarab Lord is typically a well planned, guild-wide effort, coordinated months in advance to decide who will attempt the quest chain, ring the gong, and earn the mount for their organization. But what happens when someone is given the
Tête du seigneur des couvées Lashlayer
on a whim?
, better known as
, the professional Professional Poker Player, World Poker Tour World Champion, and MasterChef finalist, answered that question by working tirelessly to bring the Horde players of Faerlina together to earn the honor becoming a of Scarab Lord - completely guildless!
The journey to
ring the gong
and become a Scarab Lord is an incredibly arduous and time consuming one, backed by the efforts of an entire guild or even multiple ones as a server comes together to accomplish the required tasks. While it's true that it's not a completely solo effort, there's a profound difference in bringing various random members of a server community together the way Williams has, as opposed to a well coordinated guild which planned their collecting and farming strategies months in advance, which is really what makes this such an interesting achievement.
Update: We've also been informed that Okami of Razorgore-EU has similarly endeavored to bring the members of their server together in order to earn Scarab Lord.
While the gates have been open for nearly a week now on some servers, many smaller servers are still working on the initial war effort and quest chain to rebuild the Scepter of Shifting Sands. If you're on one of those servers still working on your own turn-ins, or simply interested in learning more about what these servers are going through, check out our Phase 5, Ahn'Qiraj War Effort guides!
