folks are back again this week with more information from the greater world of gaming. It was a bit of a strange one, too, as Daylight Savings left a lot of folks feeling “out of it” more than usual. That didn’t stop a lot of big (and often unpleasant) announcements from circulating. Here’s a look at some of the big stories!
Warframe Overhauls Railjack With Corpus Proxima Update Today
- Developer Digital Extremes redid and reworked much of its “Railjack” feature in the free-to-play sci-fi shooter. The ship-to-ship space combat borrows a lot from Sea of Thieves, but was similarly maligned for being a bit of a grind disconnected from the main game. Hopefully there’s a bit less friction now.
Bobby Kotick Makes Money When People Lose Their Jobs
- One well-paid bigwig at Activision-Blizzard (a company Wowhead readers probably know pretty well) just got an extra $200 million payout. The news comes just after word that roughly 200 employees were laid off. Most agree the workers got decent severance packages, but the optics on this aren’t great — especially the strange decision to give each person laid off $200 in Battle.net cash to keep them in the company ecosystem…
Exiled Game Devotion Now on Direct Sale From Developer
- Something of an instant cult classic, the horror game Devotion got nuked from services like Steam shortly after release for an alleged political joke. It’s finally available for purchase again directly from the developer if you want to see what all the fuss was about.
Sony is Offering Ten More Free Games So People Will Stay The Heck Home
- Speaking of games that are easier to get now, Sony is giving away 10 pretty big ones for free as part of its “Play at Home” project. You can see the full list in the link.
