Stage 1
Stage 1 features Onyxia, Molten Core, Dire Maul, Kazzak, and Azuregos.
World Bosses
Seigneur Kazzak
spawned in the Blasted Lands and could be kited to Stormwind to rain destruction on the city. He also dropped one of the quest items needed for the Priest weapon
Bénédiction
. His abilities included
Capture une âme
which healed him on player death,
to drain player mana and then cause an explosion, and
Reflet tordu
which heals Kazzak when a specific player is damaged.
Azuregos
was a very difficult and time-consuming boss due to the
Marque de givre
ability which placed a 15 minute debuff on anyone slain, turning them into an ice cube. He also periodically wiped aggro, teleported to players, and reflected all spells back onto players.
Azuregos also had a sense of humor; he got fed up protecting the
Fragment de sceptre bleu
and gave it to the shark
Crocs-de-la-mer
. This started a lengthy questline to summon the boss, involving collecting pages from bosses, spending lots of gold on costly materials, and acquiring
Recette : Pyro-côtelettes de chimaerok à la Dirge
.

Built twelve thousand years ago by a covert sect of Highborne sorcerers, the ancient city of Eldre'Thalas was used to protect Queen Azshara's most prized arcane secrets. Though it was ravaged by the Great Sundering of the world, much of the wondrous city still stands as the imposing Dire Maul. The ruins' three distinct districts have been overrun by all manner of creatures — especially the spectral Highborne, foul satyr and brutish ogres. Only the most daring party of adventurers can enter this broken city and face the ancient evils locked within its ancient vaults.
Although Dire Maul did not have an attunement, someone in your party needed to have a
Clé en croissant
to open the West and North wings. The key drops from
Pusillin
on the East Wing.
Dire Maul was also famous for what was called a Tribute run, which would involve running the North wing without killing any bosses before the end boss,
Roi Gordok
. This run would require sneak strategies and even use of unorthodox items such as
Tenue d'ogre gordok
. Completing a Tribute run would award extra, more powerful loot, at the chest that appears after defeating King Gordok.

Onyxia
Onyxia's Lair was one of the two raids part of the game since its inception. The raid is a short 1 boss raid, but, at the same time, an iconic part of World of Warcraft, being likely the first raid ever done by players that have started playing at launch. The Onyxia encounter is a classic, becoming a staple for many other dragon encounters to come over the years, with dragon-defining mechanics like
Souffle de flammes
and
. Defeating Onyxia will also reward the group with
Tête d'Onyxia

Stage 2
Stage 2 features Blackwing Lair, Zul'Gurub, Battlegrounds, and PvP rewards.
Classic PvP
In Classic WoW, the Honor PvP system would serve as a way to compare your efforts in PvP, when compared to every other player in your server.
As you participate in PvP content, be it outdoor PvP or battlegrounds, you will start earning Honorable Kills (which we will be calling HKs). A HK is generally awarded when you, or someone in your group, kills a player of the opposite faction. Players need to be within 10 levels of you (ie. not having their level displayed as gray) to count for a HK.
However, not all HKs have the same value. Every HK comes with a certain amount of Honor Contribution Points (which we will be calling CPs). CPs are measured by how much PvP experience you have, and killing a player with high amounts of CPs will award you more CPs than killing, say, a fresh 60 that never really PvP'd before.
You can see your HKs for your entire character's existence, HKs for the last week, and your CPs for last week by the Honor tab in your character sheet.
You can also earn CPs by fulfilling objectives in Battlegrounds - like capturing the flag in Warsong Gulch, capturing a base in Arathi Basin, or killing a lieutenant in Alterac Valley.
On the weekly reset, your gathered CPs are used to calculate your rating. Your weekly rating is calculated with an average of your last week's rating, and your current standing compared to other players on your server.
Your ranking for the week, as well as the number of HKs you've accumulated for the week, when summed up with all your HKs before, will determine your current rating for the week. There are 14 total ranks per faction, which will award your character a title, as well as benefits per title.
Rankings and titles are only updated once a week, during the weekly reset. The only exception for this is Dishonorable Kills, explained below, which will affect your rankings immediately.
The Classic Honor System does not work like a straight leveling system, but as a measure of your efforts in PvP when compared to other players on your server. If you consistently play to a certain standing every week, you will not improve week after week - To improve in this system, you need to put in more and more time and get higher standings every single week.
There are a total of 14 ranks for both factions. Each rank requires a minimum amount of Rating Points to be calculated every week, then calculated in comparison to other players on your server. Each rank grants access to different rewards, from PvP consumables to Epic Mounts that do not require Epic Riding Skill and Epic pieces of gear at the highest ranks. Each rank is also applied to your character as a Title.
There are also three Battlegrounds - Alterac Valley, Arathi Basin, and Warsong Gulch.

Stage 3
Stage 3 features Green Dragons, Silithus content, Ahn'Qiraj, Tier .5, and the Gates of Ahn'Qiraj event.
Green Dragons
The Green Dragons spawned in Emerald Portals located in Feralas, Duskwood, Hinterlands, and Ashenvale, and had some shared abilities and loot.
All Dragons shared the
Marque de la nature
ability, which placed an aura on players that died during the encounter. When a player tried to engage the boss again, the
Brouillard humide
would put the player to sleep for 2 minutes instead of 4 seconds - severely limiting zerg runs.
Emeriss
has the special abilities
Infection volatile
causing AoE damage around a player,
Corruption de la terre
triggered every 25% health lost which placed a DoT on players, and
which spawned a mushroom on corpses.
Léthon
has the special abilities
Trait de l'ombre tourbillonnant
which fired bolts of shadow damage and
Attirer esprit
triggered every 25% health lost which stunned players and summoned spirits which would heal Lethon if they reached him.
Taerar
has the special abilities
Rugissement puissant
which is a traditional dragon fear,
Déflagration des arcanes
which deals damage and knockbacks, and
Invocation de l'ombre de Taerar
triggered every 25% health lost. At this time, Taerar will banish himself and summon three
Ombre de Taerar
.
Ysondre
has the special abilities
Vague de foudre
and
Invocation d'esprit de druide dément
triggered every 25% heath lost which summons druids that Moonfire and silence.
Cenarion Circle in Silithus
Silithus content includes the Cenarion Circle reputation. Reputation was needed to acquire the
AQ20 sets
and purchase useful resistance recipes such as
Patron : Cuirasse de rêvécaille
and
Formule : Enchantement de cape (Résistance à la nature supérieure)
. Below are some things to do in Silithus.
Killing Enemies of the Circle
Kill Twilight Cultists for 1 reputation each until you reach Honored reputation. If you have a group or a helper you can kill them more quickly for faster reputation gains. This can take a long time, but the rewards are worth it. You can also collect Twilight Sets used for summonings which can enable more reputation gains. You can kill Twilight Flamereavers for 1 reputation point until you reach Revered reputation.
Repeatable Quests
You can continue to repeat the Field Duty quests to gain reputation and badges. This will typically require a small group. The Field Duty quest gives 25 reputation each time you repeat it. After completing the initial Field Duty quest, you can select Combat, Logistics, or Tactical quests which give a related badge for each quest type. The completion of these quests gives 50 reputation.
Badge cénarien de combat
s
will typically require a group to earn. It is possible to earn them solo depending on your equipment, skill level, and class.
Badge cénarien de logistique
s
can be soloed. These are earned by gathering materials. Often you can buy these materials at the auction house. This requires gold to complete but allows you to trade gold for reputation which saves time.
Badge cénarien de tactique
s
typically require a group but can be soloed sometimes.
Turning-in one Combat Badge, one Logistics badge, and one Tactical badge all at once via the
Allégeance au Cercle cénarien
quest, you can gain 200 reputation. This is a good option if you're not saving the badges for any of the Volunteer, Veteran, Stalwarts, or Champion Battlegear.
One of the most common methods of gaining rep solo is to gather
Texte du crépuscule crypté
s. These are dropped by Twilight Cultists mainly located at three camps in Silithus. There is also an Elite Twilight Prophet that drops multiple texts wandering in the region with a powerful escort. You need to collect 10 text for each turn-in for reputation. You gain 100 reputation per turn-in. You can buy these texts from other players in the region or on the auction house for quicker reputation gains. Many players get them on their own by killing Twilight Cultists.
Another repeatable quest you can do is the
Blason abyssal
turn-ins. You need to get three of them for each turn-in. You gain 50 reputation. You also get a bag of spoils that contains cool things and sometimes things you can sell at the auction house. You can buy
Blason abyssal
s on the auction house or get them by killing the "tier 1 summons." You summon these monsters by gathering a Twilight Cultist set (Robe/Shoulders/Cap), equipping them, and clicking on the Lesser Wind Stone at one of the Twilight Cultist camps in Silithus. Some characters are capable of soloing these summons while others will need a group or another player to help them.
Complete Quests
Many quests in Silithus can give you Cenarion Circle reputation when you complete them. Finish as many quests as you can. Some quests can be soloed, some require groups, while others may require a raid. Some players recommend waiting until the end of Honored reputation before doing the quests because at that point you can no longer gain reputation by killing Twilight Cultists. You can kill
Flamme ravageuse du crépuscule
s up to Revered.
Cenarion Hold: Go to Cenarion Hold base in Silithus and complete as many quests as you can. These give you Cenarion Circle reputation.
Travel around Silithus and complete any quests you can from the NPCs in the zone. Valor's Rest is another quest hub at the bottom of the region.
Complete the quests for Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj.
Abyssal Summons
There are increasingly powerful summons available in Silithus. First, you summon tier 1 summons (Templars), then use the items you gain to summon tier 2 summons (Dukes), and then tier 3 summons (Lords). At the highest level, you'll likely need a small raid to kill the monsters you summon. These monsters give reputation with Cenarion Circle when you slay them. The Duke summonings are the best for reputation gains. This is because the tier 3 summons only provide 25 more reputation while requiring a lot more components to summon them than the tier 2 summons. You gain the most reputation for killing the Dukes vs. summoning components required.
Dungeon Crawl
Spend as much time as you can in the Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj killing trash monsters and even bosses. This can allow you to quickly gain reputation with
Cercle cénarien
. You will, of course, need a raid to be successful at this so this isn't always within your control. You can also gain some Cenarion Circle reputation by turning in
Insigne de seigneur qiraji
s gained by killing AQ40 bosses. You can also gain a lot of reputation by killing
C'Thun
, the final boss of AQ40.
Gates of Ahn'Qiraj
The Gates of Ahn'Qiraj was Blizzard's first attempt at a massive event that required efforts from the entire server.
When Patch 1.9 was released on January 3rd, in 2006, the two raid instances that composed Ahn'Qiraj, Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj and Temple of Ahn'Qiraj, were not immediately available to the general population. Instead, players had to undertake a massive war effort to help open the instance which included two segments: the gathering of hundreds of thousands of supplies, and completing an epic questline that took the server's most geared characters through an adventure to help the Dragonflights. The event reached its climax with a server-wide 10 hour event, which spanned lots of zones in Kalimdor.
How fast or slowly Ahn'Qiraj opened depended only on the dedication of the entire server.
One of the necessary steps to open Ahn'Qiraj was the gathering of supplies. Both Horde and Alliance had to collect hundreds of thousands of supplies to aid in the war effort. You could turn these in at the War Effort bases (located at the Military Ward in Ironforge for Alliance, and the Valley of Spirits in Orgrimmar for Horde).
Together with the server-wide item collection, players had to rebuild The Scepter of the Shifting Sands, and use it to bang the gong located in southern Silithus.
Obtaining the Scepter was no mere task, though. To this day, this is the longest questline to ever exist in the history of World of Warcraft, and involved a massive rep grind, multiple trips to raid instances (and no LFR to help you!), and collecting materials that were incredibly expensive to the average player.
After all the supplies have been gathered in Silithus, and the server has a scepter-holder, they can go to the Scarab Gong and
Faites résonner le gong !
. Immediately after the first scepter-bearer bangs the gong, a few server-wide messages will appear, marking the start of the Ten Hour War:
<name>, Champion of the Bronze Dragonflight has rung the Scarab Gong. The ancient gates of Ahn'Qiraj open, revealing the horrors of a forgotten war...
Massive Qiraji resonating crystals break through the earthen crust of Kalimdor. Colossal creatures made of obsidian stone breach the freshly broken land...
Colossus of Zora casts its massive shadow upon the whole of Silithus.
Colossus of Ashi breaks free of its cocoon beneath Hive'Ashi.
Colossus of Regal hears the call to battle and rises to serve its master.
General Rajaxx yells: Soon you will know the price of your meddling, mortals... The master is nearly whole... And when he rises, your world will cease.
The person who first completed the quest then received the
Cristal de résonance qiraji noir
and the title as rewards. Everyone else who had
Le Sceptre des Sables changeants
and banged the gong within the 10 hours of the war would also receive the mount and title.

Temple of Ahn'Qiraj
(AQ40) is a 40-man raid dungeon located in southwestern
Silithus
. It was released during a massive world event called the
Gates of Ahn'Qiraj
.
Interestingly enough, AQ40 was one of the first zones where Blizzard started to itemize items correctly for the classes--previously, unwanted stats like strength or agility would find themselves on healing items and so on. It was also the first raid to introduce meaningful reputation rewards;
Progéniture de Nozdormu
was earned through clearing the instance and gave then best-in-slot rings that increased with ilevel with each reputation ranking.
The instance contains a 5-piece Tier 2.5 set for all classes except death knights that's designed after the inhabitants of the instance with distinctive spikes and bright colors much like silithids themselves.
