Another familiar face has been found in the Shadowlands! The spirit of the Amani Warlord Zul'jin has been sent to Revendreth, where he awaits his judgment and redemption under the Venthyr as a
Ame courroucée
.
In life, Zul'jin was the Warlord of the Amani forest trolls and chieftain of the Amani Tribe since before the Second War. Because of the Amani's resentment against the Humans and High Elves, Zul'jin was a fierce enemy of the High Elves, allying himself with the orcish Horde during the second war. However, this resulted in more than simply losing the Second War for Zul'jin - Under the captivity of the Ranger-General of Silvermoon, Halduron Brightwing, he lost an eye and an arm.
When Zul'jin regained his freedom, Zul'jin and his Amani tribe went into hiding to prepare an attack on the remnants of the High Elves, now known as Blood Elves, only to find them allied with the reformed Horde. Seething with hatred against his ancient enemies in the Alliance, as well as filled with spite towards his former allies of the Horde for allying themselves with the Blood Elves, Zul'jin rallied an army of Amani trolls and sealed power from the Amani animal Gods, looking for revenge against both Alliance and Horde. Zul'jin was ultimately killed as the final boss of the original Zul'Aman raid by adventurers looking for riches.
Zul'jin's Location and Dialogue
Zul'jin can be found in Revendreth, hidden in a cellar in the Halls of Atonement area. The alcove entrance is at
65.7 42.7
, with the cellar entrance hidden under a carpet. Currently, only certain classes are able to get to Zul'jin - To get past the carpet, you need to be one of the following:
A Venthyr covenant member with
Porte des ombres
;
A Warlock with
Porte des démons
(this also allows multiple non-Venthyr people to get to Zul'jin).
Zul'jin can be found in one of the rooms within the cellar. When spoken to, he shows he still harbors seething hatred against the Blood Elves. His dialogue is slightly different for Blood and Void Elves, as he feels mocked by their presence. There are no special interactions with Zul'jin if you happen to interact with him on a character with the
Zul’Aman
legacy achievement.
What ya here for, eh? Can't ya see I got nothin' left?
Ya come here ta gloat, elf?
(Blood/Void Elf)
Da elves stole my people's land. Den dey stole my eye... and my life.
Your kind stole my people's land. Den dey stole my eye... and my life.
(Blood/Void Elf)
Everybody always wanna take from us. But we never give up! We never forget.
One day soon, ya gonna be da one dat loses... everything!
