Can be farmed in badlands from the lvl 40'ish earth elementals found their. Often farmed to be used in Greater nature protection potions.

The best place to farm this is around the 42, 87 area. There are 2 camps there, you can also make some decent gold from the gray drops.

Can easily kill a lot of the elementals near the Gnome that gives quests in Badlands. Great for xp and cash from the drops.

Farming Elemental Earth is easy if you know all the places. In my own experience, here are the drop rates:

Badlands (42, 87) - 15% Highly Populated Area, Low Horde/Ally
Badlands (26, 45) - 20% Highly Populated Area, Mid-High Horde/Ally
Arathi Highlands (35, 58) - 40-50% Mid Populated Area, Mid Horde/Ally
Thousand Needles (15, 20) - 20% Low-Mid Populated, High Horde, Low Ally

These are the best places I have found, and these mobs drop Smooth Stone Chips, Lifeless Stones, and Jagged Pieces of Stone which vendor for alot, making it a nice place to farm. Good luck!

Best guys are probably the Lesser and regular Rock Elementals in NW Badlands. I got 9 while doing the quests for them.

another good place is maraudon off of the elemental rock guys in the patrols they drop at least one per patrol

i got none on the lesser ones in badlands after like 20-30 kills, then i switched to the regular elementals around the south rim, and got about 5 after same number of kills. Maybe they changed the tables.

The numbers look to me, at this time anyway, to be around 6%. That means that only 6 in 100 will drop one on average. Of course, your luck could be horrible or marvellous.

If you got thru 38 of them before one dropped, I'd say you have bad luck. Though I would not say that your sampling is large enough, as records here indicate several thousand kills.

If you look closely at the numbers, you'll notice that the Rumbling Exiles of Arathi Highlands are by far the best place to get them, with a 12-13% drop rate. Of course, if you can't grind lvl 38-39 mobs, you'll have to go elsewhere.

The North Western Badlands spot is by far a much better drop rate from my experience. After a 10 - 15 minute grind i came out with 6....

While exiles in Arathi may have higher drop rate, there are way less of them. Best place imo is south Badlands, can go back and forth between two camps and dont have to wait at all for respawns. I got 13 there in about an hour.

Ive been farming the Rock Elemetals in the badlands for 1 hour and ive got two stacks.

Oh yeah 44,81 39-40 best spot.

The drop rates are so inconsistent that it's hard to say where the best place to farm actually is. Last night I had great luck in the Badlands, today I killed 50 and only got 1. Right now i'm having even better luck in Arathi Highlands, not to mention there are far less Alliance to worry about.

Well.. this is probably the best thing to farm after for money.. (If you don�t have a proffesion like LW or herbalist :S).. I sold 10 pieces of elemental earth for 20g yesterday at AH.
On Magtheridon.. hehe.. i am rich now :)

I've farmed about 60 of these in badlands. Grinded on the lesser rock elementals from L37 to L39, and plan to grind on them to L40.

The gold you'll make off these depends on your realm. I play on Zuluhed and am having a hard time selling them. I listed the stacks with a buyout of 7g. I then lowered it to 6g, then 5g, then 4g, and now finally 3g. Hopefully someone will take them off my hands now.

Another good loot to sell along with the element of earth's is Solid Rock. Those I sell for 2g per stack, and they sell really well.

The Fastest drop rate is from RUMBLING EXILES.

I've gotten 30 in 1 hour of grinding.

But I tried with my lvl 60, takes even longer because you kill them too fast and you have to wait. I'd say I get more on my 40 then 60.

BUT...

There is so many autoers for them, (well my realm, frostwolf). Which is really annoying.

These sell 1-5G ea on Frostwolf.

I got 10 drops from the elementals at the circle of inner bindings in arathi highlands..killed 89 of them but easy to kill without pulling any extra mobs so u cn take them 1 on 1 easy.

The drop rate was quite high on Greater Rock Elementals in Badlands for some time, but that drop rate has been seriously nerfed in the 2.0.3 pre-BC patch. I used to have about a 10-15% drop rate on them and after killing about 50 elementals without a single drop I gave up. Just letting you all know.

if i were to kill one elemental and it dropped 2 elemental earth, does thott read that as 200%?

Those co-ords are good in the badlands. 44,78. awesome place for them 1 in 5-7 Rock elementals drop an elemental earth.

The drop rare is so low it takes 20 to 40 of Exiles to drop the rock.

Actually elemental earth is listed as a reagent above .. You should check the reagent vendors

Component in elemental sharpening stones.

Need 2, but these sharpening stones are yellow at 300 BS skill, so you can use these to level skill. Its alot easier to make then other BS receipts at level 300. ;D

In SOD these can now also occasionally be found in Liferoot, Wild Steelbloom, and Goldthorn herb nodes, same as in SOM.
