A dwarf inside a cave in the Wetlands, /way 35 14, gives players a Marshroom, which will allow players to speak to a Frog sitting on a stump in a pond at /way 31 18. The Frog rewards the Rune.

And how pray tell do you get to the cave? Where does the path start to get up to him? Is there a way to get this rune before 25 without dying to the dinos?

Grugimdern gives you this. He's under a bridge at (36.89,15.21). Challenging at low level but sprit walking gets you there.

The dwarf is actually at /way 36 15 under a bridge. (there is no cave)

Did it at lvl 16, with a couple of deaths. Important not to eat the mushroom before you are at the frog stump.
If you die after eating the mushroom you have to go to the dwarf again.

I did this as a lvl 6 Tauren. I died about 6 times on the road from TM to AH, but once you die in AH and spirit spawn its not hard to avoid pats. Use the hills in Wetlands to bait the raptor in, then jump over it before the swing hits and you can dodge all the raptors. There are maybe 3 raptors that can pat into you once you're in the pond and there's a few pages of text you have to click through, so don't rush it; returning to get a new mushroom will add a lot of time.

If you set out during peak playing hours there's a very good chance you can get a summon from a Dark Iron farm group. This will make getting the rune a 20min adventure. Good luck!

Find Grugimdern:
-Enter Wetlands.
-If entering from the main road coming from Hillsbrad Foothills, follow the road south until the hills on your right coome to an end.
-Head West and curve North along the edge of the hillside.
-As you get closer towards the shore you will see a cove on the irght undernearth a bridge.
-Go inside the cove and speak to Grugimdern.

Talk to Frog:
-Grugimdern will give you a Marshroom.
-Travel West to a circle shaped lake about 30 seconds away from Grugimdern's location.
-Eat Marshroom.
-Talk to frog that appears on the little grass platform in the middle of the lake.
-Frog will give you Rune of the Stars.

There are no battles required for this item, so it can be done at low levels. Although there will be higher level mobs to avoid on the journey.
