These quests are supposed to be completed solo, there is a line of text at the end of the readable quest item provided Ecorce pétrifiée which stats "GO ALONE". This doesn't have to be taken literally as you can still receive buffs BEFORE the fight begins from other classes. As soon as the fight with one of the Demons begins though, you will need to be the ONLY entity on the aggro table for said Demons. If a player or even your pet causes any sort of threat, including providing healing, buffs or any sort of damage an NPC Le Nettoyeur will spawn and kill everyone in approximately 45 yards.

The Demons in their Humanoid form appear neutral and can be talked to by the Chasseur to activate their Demon form. Activating the Demon form will give you a few seconds to get properly positioned before the fight begins, so don't stand around once you have done so! Other classes cannot activate them and if anyone including the Hunter attacks them in their neutral from they will cast Désespoir de l'idiot which deals around 8k damage per hit to the attacker.

You can track these Demons with Pistage des démons even when they are appearing as a Humanoid.

Once you engage the Demons you will have 15 minutes to defeat them before they despawn. If this happens, it will take another 15 minutes for it to respawn. The same 15 minute respawn timer applies to if Le Nettoyeur is spawned and kills everyone. If a Demon has been properly defeated by a Chasseur the respawn timer is 2 hours.

Bring consumables, follow the tactics and be ready to spend potentially a lot of time on this. You may be looking for Demons for quite some time, other players may interfere, you may wipe a bit but don't give up as the rewards at the end of this is worthwhile.

Tips For The Following Fights

These next fights will involve you using Coupure d'ailes a lot and you don't want it to miss at all so make sure you are using a 2H-weapon that you have max weapon skill with and that you are Hit-Capped.

You can also use the enchant Ench. d'arme (Tueur de démons) which will help quite a lot

Just want to confirm that you CAN be in a group with other's while doing this. But, THEY CANNNOT ATTACK THE MOB. Also, only 1 person in the group can loot the head. So if you are in a group with any other hunter's who need the head, only 1 person can loot it.

The respawn after killed does not seem to be 2 hours but rather 15 minutes. A hunter and I ran around doing this quest together and after each kill the demon came back up after 15 minutes.

Some tips for people with mediocre overall gear

Artorius the Doombringer
Is relatively easy even with mostly blues just try to avoid hills stick to to flat even terrain something like the Potion de restauration
Might come in clutch if your having a good pull but mess up the distance and it can save your butt

Solenor The Slayer
Potion de protection contre l'Ombre supérieure is a MUST for this guy if your in low gear even if you do it flawlessly the damage from the fear will kill you dynamite combined with rank 1 volly makes it much easier to deal with

Simone the Seductress
One of the key things to this fight is kiting her around the lake im not sure whats so special about the lake but it makes her much easier to deal with.
The guide also tells you to burst the dog down first but with lower gear i found it much easier to just trap the dog at the start and focus fire down the main boss first.
While keeping the dog slowed as it only uses melee attacks also if you get unlucky and she casts the Temptress' Kiss right at the start your better off just popping FD and starting over
as you want to pump as much free damage in to her as you can while the dog is frozen once you have killed the main boss you can loot the head and ether fain off the dog or have someone help you kill it just make sure you LOOT THE BOSS FIRST as the corpse will despawn the moment you ether reset the dog / have someone help you kill it off.

Klinfran the Crazed
With pretty low gear what you want to do on this fight is conserve as much mana as you possibly can the only thing you want to use mana on in this fight is wing clip and scorpid sting.
You can easily bring him down with just melee auto attacks ( the demonslaying weapon enchant is quite useful for this fight )
I have found that he tends to enrage when there is roughly 6 seconds left of the sting debuff so what you want to do is refresh clip at around 7-8 seconds left of sting.
Back off from him keep your distance until he enrages reapply string to remove it and repeat it will take a bit of time but its by far the easiest way to deal with him.
If your feeling fancy you can try and squeeze in a few auto shots while your waiting for him to enrage but its not really needed.

After just completing the quest chain and getting the bow I can say this. Firstly: ALL respawns are 15 minutes. If you have a warlock friend, the fight in Silithus was incredibly easy. The hardest fight was without a doubt Simone in Un'Goro. Blizzard "fixed" so that you can no longer despawn the pet by running away during the Freezing Trap. Instead what I did was have another hunter pull the boss, CC the pet and run as far away as possible. When Simone disengaged the fight and started walking back, the pet was already back and I could pull it and kill it alone, and then later killing Simone alone. This was so easy that I laughed at it.

Quick tips for the demons, done solo without any help:

Artorius the Doombringer:

If you decide to kite him to the road, clear out a few mobs first. The way to the road will be uphill, but the thing is that your character moves slower uphill than he does. He will easily catch up to you to within 30 yards if you run uphill, even with Cheetah, if you do not use Concussive Shot, and then you will be debuffed and you will die. Use Conc Shot and Serpent Sting on CD, spaced by a few seconds between each, when running uphill towards the road. If you manage to pull him to the road, its basically GG as then you will be running on even ground and you will be faster than him with Cheetah.

Simone the Seductress:

Pull her next to the Hive entrance to the south of the map and jump to and from the spikey branch to kite her and Precious at the same time. Keep her silenced with Viper Sting at all times, otherwise she will cast the ranged AP debuff on you and you need to Feign. Practice the jump a little, and use Cheetah. With only 12k HP, she dies very fast to Auto Shots and Multi Shots.

Solenor the Slayer:

It is possible to kite him to his death without using any consumables but a mana potion or two. But the kiting is pretty challenging to learn within the 15 minutes you have, so here is how you can make it a bit easier, once you have the basic kiting path down from any of the videos:

Speak to him next to the AQ40 entrance ledges, take a Greater Shadow Protection potion, then reset him once with a Frost Trap. The next time you use all CDs and pull with an Explosive Trap, then do full damage to him. Once he comes close to you, Wing Clip Rank 3 him to root him for 30 seconds and get some range, then do damage to him. Dont cast Aimed Shot now though, wait for the first fear. After the first fear you can cast Aimed Shot again. You will see the 30 second root run out soon, then start kiting him. Once you kite him a fair bit from the first location, so that the Creeping Chaos bugs he spawned the first few times are far away, you can now do another Wing Clip Rank 3 on him and do some damage from range, then switch back to kiting around the ledges after the second fear.

The trick is basically to do full ranged damage on him while you have your Greater Shadow Protection potion and have it absorb the damage from the fears. Depending on your luck with the strength of the absorb effect, you can tank about four fears without taking damage, and he casts fear about twice per root cycle. The extra ranged damage you do in these two cycles does a lot to shorten the amount of time you spend kiting him, which in turn means that you get less bugs spawning and getting in your way.

Klinfran the Crazed:

As the comment by RaZz0r65 says, just melee him. Pull with an aimed/multi/conc shot, keep him at range, wait for him to enrage, then Scorpid Sting him and melee him until you have about 12-11 sec left on the Scorpid Sting debuff. Now Wing Clip him, get out of range, start doing damage, wait for him to enrage, the enrage purges your Scorpid Sting and now you immediately Scorpid Sting him again.

The cycle should be: Enrage - immediately Scorpid Sting - melee until 11 sec left on Scorpid Sting - Wing Clip and go range - damage from range until the Enrage, repeat. Setting up this cycle properly makes him extremely predictable and very easy to kill with the mix of ranged and melee damage you will be doing. Just follow the cycle at all times and you will find him to be very easy to kill even for a beginner.

Regarding Artorius:
Today I had a guildie desperately begging me to help him with this guy since he was trying for days.
Apparently he had the fight figured out, but Artorius was constantly despawning once he reached the road crossing just before Everlook.

I did the pull myself and he also despawned right before the crossing.
At that point, I remembered that on my successful attempt, I did not even get to that point because I pulled him way more up the hill than my friend did.

On the next attempt, I decided not to kite him towards Everlook but to take a right onto the road leading to Timbermaw Hold.
There, he did not despawn and I managed to kill him, earning eternal thanks from my guild mate as well as his soul and all his current and future gold.

Got Artorius out of the way tonight. Kited to the road, like most, but I'd swear he runs faster than normal. It felt like the only time I ever got out of range was when I CSed him. Barely had to do more than R1 Arcane Shot and Serpent Sting.

My secret weapon: Moist Towlette, a reward from the quest When Smokey Sings, I Get Violent in Eastern Plaguelands. Get debuffed? Wipe it away with a ONE SECOND COOLDOWN.

Also confirming from other comments: he did not despawn when kited toward Timbermaw Hold.

Perhaps I'm just sucking at these demons in general, but some of the so called mechanics don't seem to work. Wing Clip doesn't root Solenor and Scorpid Sting, well seems to be hit or miss on Klinfran. It does not dispel enrage, I'm having to Tranq shot that off, and even when Scorpid sting is up I find he still chunks me down. Kind of at a loss as to why this is.

I have not seen Scorpid Sting actually work to dispel Klinfran's killing frenzy. Is this still a thing? Does tranq work? He keeps killing me because the sting isn't working.

I remember doing this in vanilla and not favorably, they are all quite easy but it was constant interfering of other players that made it frustrating such as griefing, other hunters being impatient or sometimes other well meaning players trying to help

Quick run down of what's different and easier for SoD:

Simone the Seductress: This fight is an absolute joke in SoD if you play melee survival. Run trap launcher/Resourcefulness instead of Wyvern Strike, then Freezing Trap Precious on CD to keep her permanently and safely locked down. Run out of range of Simone to Viper Sting her Chain Lightning, then continue beating the snot out of her with your melee weapon.

Klinfran the Crazed: This fight's difficulty is much easier in SoD thanks to Aspect of the Viper. Mechanically though, nothing changes. Just run Lone Wolf Marksman and kite properly while Scorpid Stinging enrage if you want to be safe.

Solenor the Slayer: This fight is made significantly easier in SoD thanks to Trap Launcher. The strategy is the same but you no longer have to weave in and out of melee to place Explosive Trap, meaning the Creeping Doom just instantly dies when it spawns. The only difficult part is Dreadful Fright RNG which is easily cheesed with Curse of Recklessness. The opening bit is still the same though, make sure to put a Frost Trap down to bait the enrage out and then Feign to reset him so you don't have to worry about it anymore.

Artorius the Doombringer: This is the only fight in SoD that has barely changed in terms of its difficulty compared to the other three. While the other three Demons are a lot easier in SoD, this boss is still about as hard as on original servers. Saying that, this fight was the easiest of the four depending on who you asked on original servers. Keep Cheetah up at all times and keep Serpent Sting up so Stinging Trauma does all the work, and consider talenting into 3/3 Hawk Eye and taking some Restorative Potions to give yourself some wiggle room. If you find yourself low on mana, swap to Aspect of the Viper during Concussion Shot windows or whenever you outrange the boss.

Just finished this quest chain for the first time and obtained the bow, staff and quiver on Season of DIscovery. Very fun quest line for an iconic weapon! Much easier in SOD but it helps to have a friend or two that can kill the mobs in your way while kiting or a warlock to curse of wreck the demon.

Seems like there's an unintended interaction in Season of Discovery, in Winterspring, between Artorius and Estelenn. Estelenn is the NPC you speak to when doing the questline for the melee weapons Kestrel and Peregrine. If you finish the quest, she will continue to appear in the area that is nearest to the road (the best part to kite artorius). So if you try to kite him through this area, she will aggro onto him and make him despawn when she attacks.

I've submitted a report to blizzard about this, but as of right now, the only other way to do this if you're in the situation like me, will be to find people to clear out a different path to the road...
