My "Hero for 30 seconds" moment comes from an EOTS match last night.
At the start, it appeared this would not be quick honor. Both teams two-capped, contested for a 3rd. The score gap was never more than 60. So, midway through, there's always some idiot who starts talking...
Idiot: "OMG we're going to lose"
Me: "We're 60 points behind. Cap a flag, take a base, but do something useful instead of typing your BS. Just shut up and win."
So, with both sides closing in on 2000, I'm guarding our flag runner back to MT. I see that it's going to be close, so I start heading back to the middle. There are two hordies there, with one of our guys fighting them. Flag appears, I grab it...That little bar was the slowest thing ever, I swear. Then, the flag vanishes. I just stand there for a second, and it appears on my back. Oh God.
The run back to the mage tower was the longest of my life. 40 yards to the steps, they sheeped me; then about 10 of them came from nowhere. It was at this moment that one of those amazing random teamwork moments happened...All of a sudden, there's Alliance around me, healing me, casting Blessing of Freedom, etc. Score was 1960-1940 when I got to the top of the steps. My heart was pounding for about 5 minutes afterwards...
Did I mention this was in the 70 bracket? Yeah, all those guys with epic s3 gear and who-knows-what-else, and the winning flag cap was done by a freaking

(70 for less than a week, on my first character) wearing crappy quest blues and greens!
Like I said, it's good to be the hero, even if it's only for a few seconds. :)

Location: AV Bridge.
Dwarf Hunter level 56
Me and my friend, a level 55 warrior were on the bridge on defense. All of sudden everyone except me, my friend and about 7 horde are coming. I run up, set up a freezing trap then run back. I multi shot the first 3 horde ( all crit, MM spec ftw ) they activate freezing trap and get slowed. My friend charges and hits intimidating shout which blew 3 of them off the bridge. Now its 4 v 2. ( mean while I was shooting, pet was in etc etc.) Friend hits cleave and starts attacking a mage, mage freezes him and proceeds to own his butt. I silence shot the mage, aimed shot crit then arcane crit down to about 500 health, my pet then takes him out. Meanwhile no more horde or alliance are coming, weird considering its the AV bridge. I scatter shot a rogue jump back and serpent sting him to keep him from vanishing and proceed to own him. Then a pally kills my pet and i'm low on health. Pop health potion, proceed to shoot down the the warlock who tries to fear me but I trinket out of it. Right when im about to shoot, 2 rogues come out of no where and ambush the pally, i sit there and watch him die.

On Topic;
Steamrolling all PvP-Premades with a PvE-Premade in WSG pre-TBC! Back when Frost was a PvE specc!
2 mages, 2 Coldsnaps, 4 ice barriers, 4 iceblocks, 4 frostnovas, 4 Cone of Colds and a #$%^load of arcane explosions! Cleared about 6-8 hordies guarding the FC in their flagroom :D

Our lock in KZ went to grind some shards while we waited for a 10th toon. He's in full t5, so he kicks azz. He got ganked by 2 horde, and said he needed to respec so he could own these 2 nubs. I said how about a healer instead?
So, he reses, I buff him with kings, I'm full pvp/ with s2 shield/s3 legs. Oh yeah, and holy pally's don't really have to respec for pve-pvp. The idiots come back, and I hide in a building while he's just destroying the horde. He killed 4 KZ rated toons, and the sham twice since he self resed. I guess they didn't see me. =) LOL! Who says u need a SL/SL lock to be good in PVP? U just need a healer with 1.7k+heals to back u up. =) His shadow bolts were destroying them. Kinda takes you back to the pre TBC days with no resil. =)

Back when I was 60 pre-BC I was ganking a 59 hordie as he was grinding mobs, and just as I was about to kill him, he finished off a mob he was fighting, dinged 60 to full health and mana, and killed me.

My pallie was in Stone Talon and got ganked by a Nelf Druid and Warrior. I get my body and see another Pallie a few levels lower than me. i refused to get owned by a Nelf. other Pallie's like sure man, lets get them. so here, my beatiful Pallie goes stormin' off running up to the lake where they were hangin' . i Buff up and am like ready? go! jump off a mound and storm in. i'm taking this warrior down and wham he's at 100% health again. i'm was WTF? i turn around and the other guy was still a ways away. i get mauled. i check my chat and there it is. "dude, hold up i, have to answer the phone". Why was it the best? looking back at it and looking at it like a movie it was a clear Star wars scene...where Han's Chasing the Storm Trooper down the hall and around the corner then silence.....silence....silence....a then he comes running back being chased. i felt the same way. I couldn't stop laughing at the scene.
