I just was given free pokemon without asking for them is this normal? A slowpoke and a rhyhorn, was going to get rhyhorn on my one because I like the looks of them.

The battle subway is full of so many hax. Focus blast hitting 4 times in a row. Quick claw activating 3 times in a row.

Is it me, or pokeMMO is HORRIBLE in the start? I DON'T HAVE MORE FOR POKEBALLS, AND IT'S MAKING MY COMPULSIVE CATCHING A PAIN! especially with that teasing route left of Viridian, Spinda? Teddiursa? I wonder what else, but I AVOID THAT PLACE LIE THE PLAGUE, what with having nothing to catch them with...
I wish the 3000 initial money worked.

It's fairly easy to start getting money in PokeMMO; and I still ended up catching everything before I got my Meowth and VS item.

Pre-brock, all source of income is exclusivelly from Viridian's trainers and your rival x2. Each battle yields less than a pokeball's worth of money, and you cannot vendor items found (not yet implemented)...
This is of course pretty minor, but it does make me wonder why don't we get the starting money - would it cause any harm? I can't see how...

Yeah that is true; and I guess I'm not hardcore like some, as I just took the first pokemon of the level that I wanted, so only used a few balls till before I beat Brock.

Idk, I like the grass type the most. But like most other games, the water type will probably be best to choose.
What some site pointed out is that in the battles of the starters they use special moves. The grass one uses a dark move, the fire type uses a psychic move and the water type uses a fighting type move. So maybe they will have their normal weaknesses then be reversed due to a second typing. Or they may just have those moves. Would be nice to have a change to the 3 starter types.
And the thing I like the most is the 3d battles. As well as the entire 3d world. Going to be pretty interesting to travel and battle like that.
Just means I need to get money and trade in my dsi:xl for a 3ds.

The thing I'm most worried about is the fact that they moved away from Colors and Metals - Pokemon Y doesn't sit right with me name-wise. Other than that, I'm really really excited. Froakie looks adorable

X and Y, named for the X-axis and Y-axis (with Z-axis being the third). The three planes - 3D. Plus as other have pointed out, the Japanese logo has what appears to be a DNA strand in it, linking the X and Y name with the male and female chromosomes as well. I think it's pretty neat, nice and simple. Better than Black 2 and White 2 haha.
I'm excited for the 3DS, it's about time it got a main series Pokemon game. I'll buy a 3DS in the summer, they've gone down a bunch in price so it shouldn't be an issue at all.
Oh! And the legendaries names were confirmed today. Xerneas and Yveltal. Neat!
And yeah, I can get a Multiscale Dratini pretty easily, just have to find my game now. xD
