currently having an issue with the looter addon, the little text box for the tooltip id stays anchored to the center of my screen and i cant move it, i used to be able to but i cant find anything in the toggle settings to make it moveable only to turn it on / off
Same issue. The tooltip

off to the side where I'd put it before until all the servers crashed last night, but now it has inexplicably relocated to the middle of the screen, from which it cannot be moved. Please fix this; it's rather annoying.
Was any user side fix for this discovered?

I am on a MacBook Air mid-2011, running OS X Sierra. My machine has low frame rate in WoW, and some areas that require faster graphics don't display properly. Otherwise, I am able to play the game.
Since Patch 7.1, I am also experiencing the problem where all of the tooltips for Wowhead Looter reset to the center of the page and cannot be moved. I am disabling Wowhead Looter until a fix is announced. (No tooltips, no data, kiddies!)

Can we get an update from somebody that actually works on the WHL addon? What is the time frame on a fix for the unmovable window, or should we all just stop uninstall WHL and get a better tooltip addon?

I'm getting the following issues with the Wowhead Client:
1) Whenever I upload data, the thank you message is displayed in German, even though the rest of the client is in English.
2) The co-ordinates box provided by the addon can't be moved; it just sits in the middle of the screen.
3) This probably has nothing to do with the Client, but I'll mention it anyway. My anti-virus software has given me a couple of false positives regarding the client, and consequently removed it from my computer. This might be a problem on AVG's end.

I just wanted to stop in and let everyone know you haven't been forgotten. We do plan to address the various known issues discussed here, as well as some new ones that have come up since the initial post. Unfortunately, we only have a few people available to work on site development and we've encountered various
showstopping
bugs these past couple of months that have really drawn focus away from this particular project towards improving datamining, site performance and reducing the number of bad ads reaching the community.
Absent more issues we're hoping to put some major effort towards this soon. Thank you for your continued patience!

Just throwing my lot in to the pot at well, I to can't move my tooltip. I made the mistake of resting my druids tool tip cords and now they are stuck in the center of my screen. Least the rest of my toons cords are stuck where I want them.

Looter is causing issues with the appearance tab. If I scroll to page 8, for some unknown reason it will constantly jump back to page 1 or 2. It makes it impossible to look at transmog I want to use. This only happens in the appearance tab and not in the transmog window.

For me looter also causes appearance tab to repeatedly scroll back from page 8 to page 6 instead of page 1 or 2. Strange and annoying bug.

I would like to set scheduled task (I think this is how Windows is calling these) to automatically upload WoW cache data. So are there any way to automatically upload data when .exe is launched and then close when uploading is done (and ofc skip all errors it may give)? Some cmd flag or setting in ui would be very handy.
I don't think this would cause any damage to Wowhead servers since client is already skipping upload if there are no new data to upload.

Yes, with the Wowhead Client opened, at the top is a set of selections, select Tools> Options. Then select the checkbox to automatically upload data when WoW closes.

It also has a tendency to disable uncollected appearances at random.
These issues have existed for months now, and as of a week or two ago i have disabled the addon pending a fix.
I want to continue to contribute as i have for many years now, but the hassle of disabling the addon every time i want to use the appearance tab is simply too great to justify it, especially with no eta for the fix ):

when viewing my toy box, the filters would uncheck themselves, even while browsing. Very annoying. its been going on for months. I cleared my cache/wtf/interface folders, which fixed it for a short time. then the problem came back.
I couldn't figure out what was going on, and I was getting very irate towards Blizzard, wondering why they weren't fixing this horrible problem.
So then I did some more searching and saw some people commenting on the wowhead looter, so I turned it off, and the problem was gone.
Updated the addon (I always forget to since it's not part of my curse screen) and turned it back on, and it seems to be working okay now.

Tooltips can now be moved like they used to.
It's possible that the filters were corrected as well. Be sure to run your Client to get the latest update for the Looter and restart the game for the changes to take affect.
We're not ignoring the other issues mentioned in this thread but the above is what we could fix in the brief extra time we had recently. We'll continue to work towards further fixes. Thank you!

Just ran into an issue today with the Wowhead client getting flagged by Norton Security as containing a trojan identified as Trojan.Gen.8, which is a non-fingerprint detection and instead based on their heuristics algorithm that identifies suspicious behavior. I tried to download the client again, and upon completion of the download, Norton once again scanned it and flagged it based on this heuristic detection, and then Norton automatically deleted it.
The odd thing is that Norton's page on this identification (
https://us.norton.com/security_response/writeup.jsp?docid=2016-121208-2853-99
) has all their heuristics updated in mid-December of 2016, yet it was only today that it flagged it, so it doesn't seem like Norton changed anything recently that would trigger this identification starting today.
I am wondering if the client itself has recently changed and whether that would explain why it is getting flagged and removed by Norton starting today.(##RESPBREAK##)2##DELIM##Sas148##DELIM##The client itself hasn't been changed recently. Sometimes virus protection software incorrectly flags it, all we can really suggest is that you go in and "whitelist" it directly with the software before trying to redownload it.
