Wow videos: more money from youtube partner or website?

I think that internet celebrity isn't something you can count on. I think there are probably thousands of people who make wow websites and youtube channels, and unless they're one of the rare few who goes viral, they don't make nearly anything. They won't let you advertise it on Wowhead, and most people already have specific sites that they go to for fight strategies and what not. If you're in a top (known) raiding guild that doesn't already stream your fights, you might have a shot with a website. Otherwise, I don't think anyone will click on an unknown wow link. On youtube, you are up against so many other wow videos, that unless you have something really, really funny, or special, that people pass around, you most likely won't get a large number of hits from search traffic.
As an example, I watch auditions from America's Got Talent and Britain's Got talent- auditions that were on national television- that have had less than 2000 views, because they weren't the most popular. And those are people someone might search for by name.

In my opinion you should never go on YouTube with the attitude
I'm going to make make videos to make money...
it will most likely never happen. :) You should instead go on there and have fun making videos and if you get lucky then the money will come. Most YouTube videos I like to watch are from people that don't make money, have few views, but are like me and I can relate to them playing games. Let us know your channel I'll sure watch some :)
