Unfortunately I must admit in one of my early Pally tanking experiences, I forgot to turn ON Righteous Fury. That didn't work out very well.

Don't worry about it. I doubt there's even one Pala tank out there that has absolutely never forgotten to turn on RF.

Yes, committing this one has to be a rite of passage for paladins .... which brings me to my story.

Back in the 3.1 (or so) days, I was tanking heroic VH. We got Xevozz for the first boss, two dps die due to not getting out of the way of orbs, and we double-KO at the end because the healer lagged. We rez, but can't get completely recovered before the next wave starts.

Fast-forward to the next boss, Erekem. One of the adds keeps getting away from me, but I shrug, taunt, and keep on going. While we're waiting for the next wave, I check myself over and find that -- guess what -- I hadn't turned RF back on after the near-wipe.

Now curious as to why it didn't become apparent until the boss, I switched Recount back to showing dps (I usually keep it on damage taken when I'm tanking) and found that our mage had, for the whole run to that point, done a grand total of ...... 600 dps. I wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry.

If you see anyone with over 200k hp you can be almost sure its a retard who packed everything with stamina without putting much thought to it and will be squishy as hell and mana soak. You can predict that kind of behaviour really easily.
HP/Stamina is last priority for tanks nowdays. Sigh.This is mostly true outside of RDF. But insdie of RDF with +15% buff, it's not really hard to go over 200k hp when in most case tank having 1 stam trinket with a proc. Now, in trade channel, someone trying to buy Scales of Life, that's a different story. /facepalm I think it serves only one purpose, to increase ilvl.
Not a big fan of stam, trinkets but 17k controlled heal every 1 minute isnt bad for a proc. The reason most of the stam trinkets are so bad is how bad is the secondary effect (eg.brewfest trinket).

I tanked BH last night on my pally and after we got done and I passed out the loot I noticed I was still using crusader aura. Was a /facepalm moment for me.

ugh i can't remember the worst performance but i do remember a pretty terrible mage in a random heroic. We were doing H Dead Mines and i'm tanking on my druid. Everyone's pulling about 5-15k dps which i'm fine with cause it's a random heroic and people are in blues. Except the mage, whose doing about 1.5k dps.

Now honestly as a mage if you just spammed blizzard, arcane explosion, or flamestrike for the entire instance you'd probably top 5k+ without blinking. I see him casting every time we come to a group of mobs and i'm just completely and utterly confused. So i inspect him and he's an arcane mage. I'm like okay how the hell is an arcane mage only doing 1.5k. He had mostly 346 blues and a few 359 purples. I'm still scratching my head because he should be doing more. I check recount to see what abilities he's using. turns out he's using every ability in his spell book atleast once, EXCEPT for his arcane spells. i'm pretty sure he was probably spamming his shields too thinking they were doing something.

Maybe he didint.
I recently made a poll amongs muppets who use Retri aura as default (250ish reflect damage to tank). It usually does about 2k damage overall in boss fights.

20% claimed it boosts their personal dps because it adds little bit of holy damage to every hit they do, half of these I managed to convince its not really like that.
60% didint respond at all
10% went all rant of how its not important what aura they are using and they can play how the hell they want, when implied that maybe i should tank in kitty because thats how i roll, or shamans should avoid using totems or use some ridiculous ones instead of those benefiting the group the most or maybe hunter shouldnt use pet - they failed to notice the analogy.
10% claimed it boosts their damage due to communion talent (which got changed in the begining of Wotlk - that made paladins so op to ANY AURA).

Worst performance I have ever seen....would be me, tanking.

Back in Wrath some friends and my boyfriend convinced me to put together a makeshift tanking set and tank for them (not for lack of tanks, we were just bored and looking for new things to do)
So we get me all set up in a tank set and head on out to Halls of Stone, make it to Krystallus slowly but with no issues.

I pull Krystallus and we finally kill him after roughly 20 mins of fighting him, hour shammy healer died once and reincarnated. I battle rezzed (I'm a druid) one of the DPS and then the DPS ran back in 3 times after dying before the healer finally gave up on healing me and dpsed him.

Now, mind you, this was the absolute very first (and last) time I have ever tanked anything and I had no clue what I was doing at all. Had never read up on tanking, picked my talents at random and did not gem or chant my gear.

We were laughing hysterically the entire time, which is all you really can do. After Krystallus died I promptly gave up my tanking role to go back to DPS and have never tried tanking (or kitty for that matter) since.

Thats not something I would ever do in a random pug, at the very least I would gem and chant my gear.
Bears gem for spirit right? =P

I was once in a H SFK on my shadow priest and I was the only person in the entire group pulling over 9k dps (I was pulling 20k).

Tank was pulling about 8
Hunter was pulling 3
DK pulling 4

We couldn't even make it past the first boss because of bad dps and apparently no one knew what an interrupt button was so I just bailed before landing myself a massive repair bill. Sometimes I hate 4 man guild groups.

Heroic End Time dungeon.

Pally healer. Heals everyone but me (i'm tanking). Asking why I didn't receive heals I get: "You were too far away (I wasn't, I could reach her with my Hand of Protection) and I didn't feel like moving closer."

/quit group after that.
Its called "i thought i've put a beacon on the tank..oh wait".

This happened somewhere around the 4.1 patch. we were farming heroics and we get this mage who starts asking my wife (holy paly) for blessing of wisdom. We tell him that it doesn't exist anymore and that palys only have might and kings. He starts telling us that he has a paly and that he knows what he's talking about and to buff him with wisdom. No matter what we said to him he wouldn't believe that the buffs were changed. So after about 5 minutes of trying to convince him that the buff didn't exist anymore he cussed us out and left the group.

This is why I want role-bonus rolls in heroic dungeons as well. It's the fourth time I've lost the roll to some asshat.

A while back i was after Ward of Incantations for my Resto Shaman.
Finaly it drops and the Ret Pala, who has Prot offspec (i checked) wins the roll.......

LFR dragon soul
A druid caster wins the compass (that I wanted for my combat rogue) and he was doing 8k dps in DS!
I don't care that he had a feral offspec...he queued as a caster and shouldn't get the roll bonus!
There is no such role as caster dps. There is Tank, Dps and Healer.
He queued as a dps. This is a dps trinket usable by his class. He gets a role bonus.
Same way enhance shamans get role bonus on int trinkets. Because blizzard system doesnt have a category caster-dps, physical-dps. Its just dps. Hybrids (druids, shamans) get role bonuses for everything. Hunter loot, rogue loot, healers loot - you name it. Its ridiculous - yes. Deal with it or dont play.

He has a choice, either roll greed and never have a chance of winning it for offspec (opposed to all offspec people rolling need without the role bonus) or roll need and have a chance of winning it over main spec people. Obvious choice is obvious. Than he has another choice. He can either keep it, or trade it to someone more deserving with main spec. I dont think he found you more deserving with all this taunting of his dps.

Disclaimer: Not suggesting that anyone starting 'bad player' threads is automatically a bad player, but rather an in-game observation.
