Niether are better than each other, they are just different IMO.
At lower levels, crossbows are harder to come by. And at higher levels, bows seem to be around the most.
It's all personal opinion. I like bow more. I'm stuck using an X-bow right now because Prince refuses to drop the bow for me.

What ever one has more dps/stats at your level is best. just have to get wepon skill up wich isent that hard.
