What Idol to Choose for What Scenario

Leveling as feral, I've had Idol of the Wild helping out my Mangle since Hellfire Penn. I'm going to be going resto, probably a 2/18/41 build, and so I'm looking for some advice on idols.

1. What is a good Idol to pick up for Resto? I'm assuming that I. of the Emerald Queen would probably be the best. Until then, I've got Harold Rejuv Brooch from the Nestingway quest line. Any others that are good as I switch over to Resto that I should shoot for?

2. For farming, I will no longer have Mangle, which limits me. I am leaning towards Idol of Brutality, seeing as I can capitalize on Swipe with my talent set up. Are there other options that I could consider?

3. I won't be doing balance at this time, but is there a balance idol that would be good to go for for my nukes if I ever do?

4. Are certain idols better for pvp versus pve? Any recommendations here for any of the different builds for druids? This is meant to be an open-ended threat about idols, so if you have something that you like or have found useful, please post!

Use the emerald Queen for 5 mans/raiding (it's the best one out there). for balance, i'd recommend the +dmg to starfire (sry can't think of the name :/ ). I'm not the expert on resto/balance druids though.

However, I am rather accomplished in the feral end :D
- For dps in 5 mans+, the everbloom idol is simply the best.
- For tanking/farming, the idol of terror is the way to go
- IF you are in a 10/25 man raid, AND you are tanking in a party of ALL melee/hunters, instead of going with the idol of terror, I'd go with the idol of the raven god (if you were wealthy enough to get the epic mount).

There may be a better one for pvp, but in general, i use the everbloom idol

Even more reason to use Idol of the Raven Goddess in 2.4: it has been buffed pretty significantly -- 20 melee & spell critical strike rating.

Unfortunately, by getting Tree Form, I won't be able to capitalize on Mangle, or any Idols that help out deep Feral builds, like Raven Goddess/Terror :Q

So since I will still be farming in feral form, would Idol of Brutality be the best choice? My idea is to being swiping as much as possible so that my proc from Primal Fury keeps my rage way high and Mauling won't kill my rage bar. I use this currently, in addition to mangle, and it works great. I will lose Imp LotP which will add some more downtime...

Anyway, any other good options other Idol of Brutality for people that don't have mangle anymore?

Hmm, well, I'll have to consider that. If I do do that, I'd probably do more of a 19/0/42 build. ATM, I see more advantages of having the points in feral and focusing on bear form. I agree with you on cat, though. Probably not worth it at all.
