"Why'd you kick me?" the woman asked, her voice trembling but the rifle remaining steady as a rock. She shot Varyn a pleading look before returning her eyes to the sights.

"Miss, please," Varyn voiced carefully, talking a cautionary step towards her. He stretched out a calming hand as though to a skittish deer, keeping the other well away from his sword.
In the background, Mordecai slowly circled like a shark, ready to intercede in a moments notice if she pointed the gun towards Varyn.
Anyone else? He didn't even bother to shrug in contempt.

The night elf shook her head. "That is still unbelievably creepy." Nonetheless, she followed the snake thing down the tunnel.

John waited patiently for the last member of their team to enter the tunnel, so that he could seal it behind them. Indeed, to the right of the cavern's mouth, a glyph mirroring that on the outside could be seen; the lines were filled with some resinous substance that glittered in the light of numerous luminous mushrooms dotting the cave.

She looked confusedly to Varyn, as if she had already forgotten he was there, and then down the sights again. The orc's argument was, to her wound-up mind, all too weak.
Somewhere in her head, a 'please' registered. If it was a ruse or not she didn't know, but the finger slipped off the trigger almost involuntarily. Not that it mattered without the hammer retracted, but it was symbolical.
"And now you ended up at the point of it," she said slowly to Vrak through a clenched jaw. Suddenly her brain worked again, to some part. "You're alive because you keep him from killing me."
Varyn earned another glance, or rather his extended hand did. She had already perceived the other as not ready to strike. Another tense second passed, and then she finally relaxed. The release of tension almost got the upper hand on her, and she had to lean on the stock again not to lose balance. She suddenly felt very vulnerable, and only hoped that Drenn wouldn't seize the opportunity.

Varyn hesitated, as though confused as to whether he should be answering Ilthadris or the woman with the gun first. He eventually decided on the, in his opinion, rather high strung newcomer. "Are you okay?" he asked, taking another step forward.

With less people around her, Theresa started pulling herself together. She ran her free hand over her face and through her damp, stringy hair in a frustrated and tired gesture, then tried straightening herself out. The faintest smile showed when she turned her hanging head to Varyn. "I'm okay. Thanks again, young man. Second time today. Almost warrants a name," she said, ending with a deep sigh and a deep breath.

Varyn started and flushed hotly. "Erm, yes...I...my name is...is Varyn Brighthammer," he said, completely out of sorts. He held out his hand to shake, then pulled back, then put it back out, clearly very much confused.

"Tess," the veteran replied much less ceremoniously. Although she meant no disrespect, the look she shot Varyn's indecisive hand clearly meant she was not in the mood to shake it.
"Aah," she groaned a moment later and straightened out completely, now able to stand on her own. "No point in standing around reveling in pleasantries," she declared rather pompously in a mock Capital dialect and hoisted the gun to her shoulder. After rolling her neck, she looked over her shoulder at Drenn. He'd get his lesson later.

Varyn grew a little redder and retrieved his hand. "Ah...yes, you're right. Do you have a...um, mount? Or shall you be riding with...with Vrak?"

: Naelith Kel'thaladori, Verthelin Bloodstrider
Location
: Sunsail Anchorage
"So why have you summoned me here?" Naelith Kel'thaladori asked the other elf, a blood mage with a meter long hair which color that reminded of flames, all tied in a ponytail. The same Sin'dorei, whom was dressed in a red and gold robe with a high collar that covered parts of his taned face. Three verdant spheres orbited the mans body, shimmering in fel.
"Simple, i don't suppose you have read the pappers about the missing artefact?" Verthelin Bloodstrider responded with a question to his companion, a magistrix in a two piece robe in red and gold, wing-like shoulderpads, a golden and gemed diadem around her head and a staff in her hand. brown as bark hair hanged down her back.
"You mean the one the Cenarion Circle lost?" Naelith said with a raised eyebrow, wondering where the conversation will be going."
"Yes, and we are going after it." Verthelin said resolute.
"Whyyy....." Naelith said and pondered herself why he would be after it, as neither of them had the need for gold to the extent of going bounty hunting.
"The reliquary desire it. For study and safe keeping, as the druids can't do the later, it's up to us isn't it?" He said smirking beneth his mask-like collar.
"Then it setteld, we set sail and go after the box." She said enthusiaticly.
"Patience, Magistrix Kel'thaladori, our ship will be here soon enough, untill then, we wait." Verthelin said , pleased that he managed to convince the woman.
And so the two waited at the sunsail Anchorage, the port town of the elves.

"On that thing?" Tess said sceptically. "Only if I absolutely have to."
She certainly didn't have a mount. She didn't even have food money for more than a day or two. But what the fel, this was all for the prize.
"...which I guess I do."

Character:
Tracking Device
Location:
Felwood
Looking for all the world like a small finch, the Tracking Device alighted on a branch overhead the thieves. It made absolutely no sound at all, but in Gorshank's mind, it was louder than the Maelstrom. The device did nothing, although it had the capabilities to kill at least one of them. It was content to simply follow them, for now.

After ushering Charles inside, the bounty hunter took out a long-barreled revolver from his pocket and shot at the tracking device. The construct was torn apart by the explosive bullet and perished in a shower of scorched gears and springs.
"Somebody did not do the. Research honestly finches in. Felwood," Cassidy muttered, reloading the pistol and slipping it back into the pocket. He stepped into the cavern and pressed the fetish against the hieroglyph on the inside; luckily, this time no percussive maintenance was called for.
The twin slabs slid back into place, and gone was the cave, in its place a piece of the mountain virtually indistinguishable from any other.
"Does anyone require a list. Of fungi that are edible. And ones that are not of. Those inhabiting this tunnel?" John inquired, the lenses of his goggles glinting in the twilight, the darkness held at bay solely by the efforts of the mushrooms.

Gorshank opened his eyes, a slow smile spreading across his face, "Of course I did, my trigger happy friend. But now you think that the threat has been dealt with. And I know where you are going, my stuttering friend..."
It was relatively difficult magic, working from that far away, but the fel energy's he had infused in it helped. "Also, remember not to leave any piece of your opponent behind."
the construct reformed, pieces flying back together. the bird fluttered up higher into the tree, watching intently.
