Since this is coming up again...
I leveled Disc.
Personally, I'd go straight down Discipline if you don't want the first 30 levels to be murder... which is what going straight down holy will do.
First 5 points in spirit tap or wand spec, your choice. The next tier of discipline rocks for leveling... Imp PW:S makes your shield last to the point of not needing to recast. Martyrdom can or can not be good, depending on how much you find yourself meleeing. Also, if you're not using your wand for the last 1/3 or 1/4 of your targets life (keep your DoTs up... Holy Fire and SW:P), you are wasting 5 talent points. Take the time to keep your wand upgraded and USE it!
Inner Focus and Mediation are no brainers... they cut your downtime way down. Same with mental agility: you save 10% on your SW:P, PW:S, Inner Fire, Renew, PW: Fortitude, Shadow Protection, Divine Spirit. It helps a lot with grinding/questing.
Getting Force of Will and Holy Spec will help your damage output immensely, especially with a set of spell damage gear, as will Power Infusion. I never went past PI because I didn't see any advantage to Pain Suppression while leveling. Reflective sheild depends on your play style... if you do the long distance nuke, dot, then fear, it probably won't be so helpful. I went into holy with my points instead of getting it.
The reason to level Discipline, IMO, is for the person who knows they want to be a healer end-game. Discipline offers survivability and mana efficiency... Mana efficiency being applied to either grinding/dps or healing in a party. The talents in Discipline offer help to you if you are the main healer for your party. Shadow talents do not. Not to say that shadow priests cant heal, because they can, but just to say that if you want to have an easier, more helpful talent base for the healing that you do, Discipline talents will help you.
Here's my build for leveling to 50ish. I'd be pumping the rest of my points into Holy from this point on.

I dropped spirit tap at that point also and havent even noticed it. Bear in mind that I do about 1/2 questing and 1/2 PuG, so I ended up with some blues to help me out.

Best way to kill as Disc:
- Mind Blast as opener followed by SW:Pain.
- While the mob head toward you, you cast PW:Shield
- Then you start to wand (keep your wand updated and use it!)
Mob should die by the time SW:Pain end and your mana bar will be praticaly back to full.
Build up to level 60:
